Very nice hotel with special character, I arrived late in the evening and quickly checked me in. I had an upgrade to a double room for a single use, room very clean, bad comfortable, complimentary the best mineral water in Poland. Great buffet breakfast included in the room rate, both hot and cold food, wide variety of polish delicatessen and home made salads and cold roast meat and pate just like at home, fabolous. In the morning nice lady from the reception helped me with a travel info, I hope to visit you again

Again: this destination is an example of what makes 70 years of the Polish element to do with the old Prussian spa: come here only if you have a sense of extinct beauty or the traces of a man in the beautiful countryside around. Amalia is an old villa in the middle of a small town. It is well renovated, it has strong walls. It is not very nice today, but it can comfortably accommodate and it is not too expensive to sleep. Surrounded by an East-European garbage parking and a number of similar villas. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast takes place in the cellar - this is the only big complaint - the hotel has a beautiful restaurant on the first floor. The cellars are terrible, they let up Polish advertising blocks on big TV, everything is like plastic. The food is Polish austere - in Poland chefs do not eat what they cook.

My husband and I stayed in September 2014. We book through Booking.com and I didn't realize that we were overcharge. Would be better to call hotel or use their website on my own. This hotel is in lovely city of Kudowa Zdroj, Spa town by Polish and Czech border. Location is great, very close to Park Zdrojowy and all the restaurants and cafés in town. I ask for a room in the back, I was under impression that we will have view of the garden. No, it was parking lot. At least it was quieter then rooms up front of the hotel. Our room was nice, comfortable with modern bathroom. If you need clean towels, don't hesitate to ask, because they will not change them for you if you don't ask. Breakfast, included with the room, was nice, maybe needed a little more varieties. But maybe its just me, after 6 days the same kind of food getting a little boring. Parking is a bit of the problem, if you come back from your outing late in the afternoon there is nowhere to park. Sometimes people blocked each other cars. The staff was really nice and help us a lot of information. We had nice stay in this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here one night and just loved the feel of this hotel. It has a romantic flair. Even our standard double room had a high ceiling, large windows with white flowing curtains drifting in the breeze. A lovely balcony overlooked the main street below, and the sounds of the people passing by reminded us that we were in a lovely resort town near the Czech border. The builing is historic, but the updated interior has a lovely feel throughout. The rooms have a light decor making it feel uplifting. There is private parking in the back of the hotel which was nice as the front street did not have any parking allowed. If you stay here, eating at the resturant is a must. The food was supurb and it felt more like a four star menu. Our receptiionist was terrfific in all aspects. She took the time not only to check us in , but help us with some Polish phrases, as our Polish was very limited. The one thing the hotel did not provide was a hair dryer which my wife insisted I add to this review. :) The hotel does not have AC but you can ask for a fan at the front desk. We will come back and stay here if we ever return and recommend this hotel . Thankyou to the staff of Hotel Amalia.
