Get the corner vista Pacifica room, quite generously sized and with wonderful views. Don't miss the sunset from your room! Very good breakfast and very gracious hosts. During Xmas, the owner goes all out with decorations, and locals come with kids to admire. Good vibe all around.

July 2013 My husband and I spent several nights in this beautiful place. The room was beautifully appointed...we had a king size bed with wonderful linens and the most fabulous view of the pool and the ocean beyond. Patricio communicated with us perfectly about our reservations, and the driver that picked us up at the Manta airport Pablo was precious.... More

Casa Grande is a small hotel with well above average facilities. The included breakfast was always excellent and prepared fresh for us - and it was lovely eating by the pool each morning. Our room was large and very clean. The bathroom was modern and included a whirlpool tub. Hot water was always available which is not always the case... More

This is a special place. My dad and I went to Bahia to go to Chirije, an egolodge nearby who's owner also owns this Casa Grande. Unfortunately, some roads were closed and we ended up spending our 3 days at Casa Grande instead. It was such a lovely place to stay. Our room was huge, beautiful, and clean. We had... More

The Casa Grande is a beautiful home that has been turned into a bed and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is inviting, and the views are all wonderful! We stayed in a room that had lots of big windows that faced the ocean with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The food was amazing? We had fresh fruit... More

If you are looking for a place to stay in Bahia de Caraquez, the Casa Grande is your best bet. Our room, number 3, had an ocean view and a terrace. The terrace, although shared with other guests, enabled us to watch the sun rise and set and was sunny and breezy. Our breakfast was served on the terrace, too.... More

A lovely large home turned into a very inviting and somewhat private bed and breakfast. The owners and staff are lovely and the rooms are really clean all having a nice view of either the pool and ocean or the front yard with wonderful flowers trees etc. Patricio the owner/manager was warm, very helpful and someone who makes your stay... This is an old family house with about 8 rooms which are spacious. We stayed in the garden room which has its own balcony overlooking the street, but a small bathroom and it lacked hot water the 4 days we stayed. There were several reasons given for lack of hot water such as you have to turn the knob just... More

We had a delayed flight from Quito and came in the dark of the night. We woke up to a view of the ocean, a wonderful breakfast, and a list of things to do. We had hoped to stay a couple of nights at the Ecolodge Chirijee but the rains had made the road impassable. However, Patricio was kind enough... More

We knew what to expect at Casa Grande as we were there last February. We also knew that return visits to places we have been can be a "let down" from unrealistically high expectations. We should have know better here. Food, friends, the family and the scenery all just as we had remembered. And as a bonus, the rooms had... More
