We arrived at Casa Geande a day early after having missed a flight from Lima and having to make some major changes to our itinerary. The staff welcomed us warmly and got us settled, the breakfast was excellent - fresh shrimp omelettes ! It was quiet and very comfortable. The owner, Patricio Tamarez also owns Chirije Eco-lodge where we had... More

Even though they call themselves a boutique hotel, this a private home converted to a B&B. It is a large house near (across the street from) the water. No doubt it occupied a prime location when first built, but it is now sadly nearly surrounded by high rise apartment buildings. We checked out five of the rooms and they vary... More

The place is a nice as it looks but the beach front photos are very miss leading, you can not just walk outside to a private beach as they are showing. The beach they show is not in Bahia. and the the light house beach you need to walk around a couple of blocks crossing a road to arrive which... More

I had the great privelege to stay at Casa Grande for a week in March of 2013. The hotel is stunningly beautiful - small enough to feel charming and cozy, but large enough to give space, privacy, and elegance. The pictures on Trip Advisor are representative of ow it actually feels! The courtyard and pool area gave the privacy and... More

We stayed in this hotel in dec 12 and were very disappointed after the reviews we had read. There was no-one around to ask for info when we arrived, no written info in the room to explain what the services were, times for breakfat etc. (The breakfast was very nice, though) We had to rely on information from the other... We stayed at Casa Grande for a week in October. It was a little tough to find but once there we were welcomed as if though we were family! The house is amazing and the weather was comfortable all week. We did not swim in the pool but it sure looked inviting. Breakfast was served every day and there were... More

Beautiful, clean, comfortable with ocean views. Breakfasts are wonderful and varied. The corner suite is fabulous. Patricio was a wealth of information. He will go out of his way to make your travels enjoyable. Pablo, the taxi driver was great. If you have the time, be sure to visit his other property on the beach... Chirije. If you enjoy endless... The best in many different ways, service, friendly, cleanliness, value for the dollar, and honesty. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. We would challenge any traveler to beat this place on the Ecuador coast.

One of the nicest places we stayed in South America. This private home converted into a "boutique hotel" is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owner, her niece and their one yard hand are very friendly and do everything to make your stay the best. The breakfasts are fantastic and a good variety. The gardens are nothing short of spectacular.... More

This place will exceed all of your expectations. We found it difficult to leave because we felt like part of the family. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that all of your needs are met. The breakfast, furnishings, artwork, pool, bathrooms, beds and atmosphere are all first class. If you are lucky, as we were, you might... More
