I travel a lot for work and this is one of the BEST B&B's I've stayed in! This was my third visit whilst on business in the area and there is always a warm welcome in more ways than one, especially on a wet and cold wintry night! The attention to detail is fabulous and the room I stayed in - forget me not - is beautiful and so comfortable! Fantastic bathroom, comfortable bed and furniture, great choice of refreshments, coffee maker and a fridge with fresh milk in too. Delicious salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and hot milk with my filter coffee. Brilliant hosts, thank you again Pat & Sara, hope to be back again soon!

We booked direct to stay 18-22 August 2019, having found them on Hotel and Trip Advisor. And I've never stayed in a B&B like it. Every small detail has been considered. The accommodations are beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. We were met with homemade cakes on arrival. Sara and Patrick, your hosts, have thought of every tiny detail. Bottles of water, and tea and coffee makings are boosted with generous little touches - fresh milk, alternative drinks, an honour bar in the public area (Tunnock Tea Cakes were really welcome after a long day 'doing' all over north Wales). In addition the rooms have all, and more, that you could wish for. Sara and Patrick have really given every touch imaginable to their home. Did you forget something? No worries 'cos when you arrive it'll be there waiting for you - tucked in a bathroom cabinet, or in a drawer. I'll travel much lighter next time I go. In addition, Sara and Patrick are incredibly knowledgable about things to see, do and visit, for miles around, and I heard them three times tailor their recommendations to the guests specific interests. We went to see a castle we'd not even heard of, at Sara's recommendation, and it was one of our best days. And then, breakfast. I usually have a cup of tea, and a slice of toast. Everywhere. But not here. Home made jams and preserves, locally sourced yoghurts (and truly the best yoghurt I've ever eaten). You can have as much or as little as you can eat, and the cooked breakfast is cooked to order. Treat yourself to the scrambled eggs (which is Patrick's area of expertise). I've never eaten eggs like 'em. I cannot rate this guesthouse highly enough. Do not hesitate to book here!

We were a group of ex university friends (now teachers) who met up at Tan Yr Onnen as a central meeting point . Sara and Patrick were exceptionally welcoming and couldn’t have made us feel more comfortable. The rooms were beautiful and the bedding and beds first class. They recommended places to eat and arranged the taxi. Breakfast in the morning was huge and there was plenty to please every one. There were lots of lovely little touches in the rooms with a fridge with a small bottle of milk in instead of this fiddly little uht cartons, A chocolate tea cake each as well as biscuits. In the bathroom there were little toiletries and a make up removal cloth as well as very soft waffle dressing gowns. If there was anything that I would have liked and this is of no way a criticism was a full length mirror. We had a fantastic weekend and I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

My husband and I stayed here for just one night as part of a weekend break. It was a last minute and random booking and we couldn’t have found a more lovely welcome or a more comfortable stay. We were greeted by a very smiley lady named Sarah and were offered homemade brownies upon arrival, they looked absolutely delicious but we had already eaten too many sweet treats! Our room was so comfortable and Sarah had thought of every little detail. After a well rested night we were served a fab breakfast and left feeling great. Thank you very much. Regards Jenny and Darren

What a fantastic discovery! We were picked up from the Offa’s Dyke path by our host and on arrival were incredibly impressed by the standard of our rooms- one had a great wet room with a marvellous shower whilst the other was blessed with a state of the art bathroom. Sara and Patrick were friendly owners and provided a delicious breakfast and a tasty packed lunch. This is a highly recommended place to stay!
