Only the native house was available. it is very big and very comfortable: double bedroom next to the living room with airco! Living room has a nice hammock and a sofa and upstairs two double beds if i remember (only fans there!). a kitchen also. and a big bathroom with shower. nice terasse too with good view on the garden,... Fine stay, but the aircon is NOT working. We complained thrice and they got us a fan. When we checked out the girl at the counter told us she couldn't give us the regular discount of P500 each night (the amount you pay for the aircon), because the manager hadn't left her a note. She called the manager thrice and... More

Lovely little bamboo bungalows in the garden. Helpful staff and a short walk to the waterfront. It can get really hot here, no breeze, so book with air-conditioning if you like to sleep at a moderate temperature. Draft beer in the restaurant! Good healthy breakfast too.

I enjoyed my time at Mayas, but it was much more basic than I expected - it's definitely a bare bones, budget hotel. I stayed in the air-con bungalow, which was spacious with a double and single bed, closet, and wet-room style bathroom (that was, I should add, completely covered in mould). There was also a nice porch outside with... More

The cottages are set in a small garden, and the place has a welcoming, appealing look. I stayed in a Eco Cottage with fan and aircon options. On the inside, a plus point is that it is very spacious. Lots of space for bags and gear especially if you are here for diving, which is what Moalboal is known for.... More

I can't understand why this place has such good reviews! I am basing this on similarly priced accommodation through our four month backpacking trip in Asia and so bear in mind that I am not coming with very high standards at all... We stayed for four nights in the native house. Perhaps the other rooms would be better but I... More

We, two friends, stayed at Mayas for 5 nights in an Aircon Eco Cottage. + staff is very nice, friendly, helpful, open-minded, caring + cottage is spacious + warm shower + clean sheets & towels + good restaurant (try the breakfast burrito) - spider webs & dirt in the cupboard - damp smell of bedlinen (after they changed the linen,... Good location. Great value for money rooms. Snorkling is great just outside hotel and the food served in the restaurant is good. If you stay here on a saturday and want to sleep you have 2 choices, either join the party next door and have fun or lay awake all night from the disco sounds to 6 am. Overall its... More

We've stayed in an air-con hut that was quite spacious and had a separate bed for the child. The garden is really nicely kept and boasting some of the rare birds (better seen at sunrise), such as a blue kingfisher. The personnel is very friendly and their restaurant is really the best in the whole village, boasting some killer sine... More

We booked the Eco Air Conditioning cottage for two nights. We really liked the cottage-style garden accommodations. The place was quiet and we had a peaceful stay. The room was spacious, clean, basic, and pretty decent for a budget resort. However, the pillows and curtains were too thin. Friendly staff. The highlight of our stay there was the food. Order...
