Sumisid Lodge is a small and homely diver’s accommodation. The front patio of the lodge connects with the dive center. The venue is the center of Panagsama beach where you will find a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The front of the lodge faces Negros straight and offers a pretty sun downer. There is a very casual ‘make yourself at home’ kind of feeling to the lodge. Meals are buffet style and if guest join for dinner than all the guest dine at the same time. The cook here has a reputation to excel when it comes to local favorites. Meals are served in the lounge/sitting area and usually guests take their plate and eat on the outside patio. The Dive center is adjacent of the lodge… it doesn’t get easier than this. While you’re having breakfast the dive center staff is preparing your dive gear and you can watch them doing it. A no-nonsense accommodation; this is how it is; this is how we do it and we do it right! If you’re here to dive, then you’ve come to the right place.

Enjoyed a two night stay here and appreciated that it's right on the beach. There's a little private beach and bay to have a quick swim during the day. Private porch view is fantastic for meals and there is plenty of place for guests to tan/read just above the beach sand.
Late nights were happily quieter than we expected even though it's still part of the main strip. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were delicious too (American style was my favorite).
Easy to walk to restaurants and bars down the rest of the beach. Found an amazing restaurant about two minutes away called 'The Pleasure Principle' (not yet on TripAdvisor, opened Sept '13) with an awesome menu and big portions.

This should be the best accommodation along Panagsama Beach. It has its own sandy beach just right in front of the lodge. Enjoyed our morning breakfast with the excellent sea view. Room is simple and clean. Staff excellent. Highly recommended.

The staff here is nice, and location is in front of public beach. However, I didn't have a great experience with the owner, Egbert Jan Schaap. I asked if I could pay with my credit card but was told to do a BPI account payment instead. I had coordinated this payment with my family member in Manila. The staff had also confirmed my payment was received into the account# they provided. However, the owner still wanted me to show an actual screenshot of the BPI receipt on my final night. The result was three separate verbal confirmations of my BPI payment by his front desk staff yet I myself was never given an actual receipt from Sumisid Lodge. I suspect the owner was hoping I didn't have a screenshot of the BPI bank receipt so he could try and double charge me. Overall, this just left a negative impression on me. The fact that BPI payments are instantly sent into another account, and also he himself could verify exact payment amount received and time of deposit himself - and even his staff had confirmed this three times to me. And I was not even given an official receipt from Sumisid Lodge before leaving. Just something to be aware off...

Even that we had the superior room, it was very very small. No place for the luggages. Very noisy. The staff seem board of working. Never kind or smiling. The lodge is in front of the public beach. So it is very crowdy. Midnight party until 2:00 AMNot so great when you are diving at 6h00 the next day. We had the breakfast included : it take 30 minutes to be served even if we are 2. Once it arrive 2 cold toats, coffee and a spoon of jam. The next two days we didn’t had our breakfast at the lodge. After 2 days we had to ask the room service to make the room. Lazy staff! We don’t recommande this place.

We just spent 3 nights at the Seaquest Sumisid Lodge and wanted to thank the team for all their kindness and help. Great breakfast (super value as a whole package) comfy bed and decent A/C with perfectly decent bathroom. Very laid back 'island style' feel and great sundowners with the coral and sardines in front. We also had some great massages which the team organised on the front and a fun snorkel boat trip. we were not diving but other who were seemed to be very pleased. This is not you 5 star remote style gig but it really delivers as a chilled low key relaxing value based venue for all ages. We hope to get back but they only have a few rooms and often booked out ....that says it all. Also handy for the bars and food joints in Moalboal ...ie a short walk. We were there end of season so the whole place was more chilled but that suited us. Thanks again to the Sumisid team and hope to see you soon. A welcome break from the more corporate Mactan.

we stayed here for 3 nights , very good location, you have the divecenter nextdoor, it is not so crowded!
we had the tiny room with shared bathroom( 1000 pesos) with breakfasta, the room it was all that we need, in the front we had the beach, you can see the beach also from your room and in the night we slept with the window open and we had a good sleep!
staff it is very friendly, helpful...
you must stay there instead for the white beach,in the first we ve been there but the prices were really high , about 3500 pes for a bungalow and that area was very noisy....

Stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. Kitchen is fantastic, it can beat most 4* hotels.
During my stay it was low season so most of the time I was the only guest.
Used the Sea Quest diving, they are located next door.

The accommodation itself and the location is good, but the staff and the service they provide is VERY POOR. They (the whole staff crew) give you the feeling to bother them. Even a normal "good morning" was too much for them.
We can not recommend this accommodation.

We stayed here for two nights and the place was a joke. They charged us more than advertised for the water in the room, and my husband decided to be honest about a piece of junk ceramic ornament covered in chips that he knocked over, and they slugged us with a huge charge for that. That’s how they repaid our honesty. You can stay in town much cheaper than this hotel. Avoid like the plague.
