In Symbiosis with the Reef. Experience nature and well-being in harmony with the reef, in line with preserving the environment above and under water. That is our goal! A 5* boutique resort? Yes and now, it's Dolphin House! Our bungalows are at a good international 4* level, our aspirations in terms of cuisine, the dive center and Eco-tourism ambitions at minimal impact can be placed at a far superior level. We do not have rooms with sea view... because we do not want to ruin our beach opening. Only the restaurant and the dive centre are located directly by the sea. At the beach front, you will find plenty of loungers and little huts, "Tea Houses", slightly elevated, right in the shade of palm trees and greenery with a stunning view over the ocean.

    Perfect place to go diving
We were there to do our open water scuba diving course, for what it was perfect. The resort has its own dive center, so you don't even have to leave the resort to go diving. The equipment was very well maintained and our instructor was very good and patient. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes we had to wait a little long until lunch was served. However, they were short of staff during our visit and were looking for an additional waiter/waitress, so they will probably be faster now. The food was good and fresh, but for the Philippines rather expensive. It is very quiet in and around the resort, but there's also not much going on in the neighborhood. But for about $5 you can take a Tuk Tuk to Panagsama Beach (15 minutes) where are a lot of restaurants and bars. Big plus: The resort is sustainable and does not use plastic bottles. Instead, you get an aluminium bottle, which you can fill up for free at the water stations.
Thank you, everyone, and sorry for the very late reply. Dolphin House was closed from the middle of March until recently and is still only accessible to residents of our island, which gives a few of our staff a weekend job. I wish you and everyone a better 2021 And always... "Dive at Zero Impact On The Reef"

Relaxing, quiet setting with lovely staff
Our bungalow was spacious and comfortable for the three of us, although wifi was inaccessible. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Can't comment on the bar or restaurant, as we only ate breakfast, which was included with our room. Best part was the snorkeling right off the property and the serene setting with many quiet places to get away to. The pool is smallish and could get noisy when children were enjoying it, so for couples or those who are annoyed with that this wouldn't be a good choice. A tricycle ride is necessary to get into town or to other beaches, and compared to other areas we visited, much more costly. We didn't have time to dive on this trip, but would certainly plan to next time around. We weren't able to attend the presentations from the local marine biologist as we'd hoped, due to other activities we had scheduled. If you enjoy diving and snorkeling from a quiet, somewhat remote setting, this would be a good choice. Providing good and reliable wifi would be a huge and welcome improvement, as it is necessary for planning activities and communicating or conducting business while away on holiday.
Dear 44melindae, thank you for your nice review. I just want precise that all outdoor and public areas as well as the terraces of the rooms are covered with fast 20MB wifi. I admit that there was a temporarily problem with one of the out door antennas that has been replaced. In most of the rooms you will even have a signal inside but we never pretended to have WIFI inside the rooms. Aside from typical school vacation times, about 10 month out of 12 we have very few guest with children. If, thanks to our somewhat remote location you prefer the occasional sound of playing children versus disco and karaoke noise pollution on most Philippine beaches, you will like it here. Thank you so much for choosing Dolphin House and warm regards from all of the team!

    A luxury oasis in Moalboal
This resort (based on the looks of all the other places we passed during our stay) must be the finest in Moalboal. It is hidden at the far end of the island, right before the white beach starts (on low tide you can walk to white beach from the resort. Dolphin house has a tiny sandy area and a pier with a great house reef right outside). The area is well planned. Garden and pool area is beautiful. Everything cleaned everyday. Staff is friendly and most of them speak English. The room was clean. Bed was a bit hard (as most are in the Philippines...) Breakfast is included and contains 3 hot dishes, fresh fruit, cereal and yogurt, bread and pancakes + fresh made omelet. Also milk, coffe and fresh juice. They serve lunch and dinner with a few different choices every day. If you want to try other restaurants you will have to get a tuc to either Panangsama beach or Moalboal town (about 10 minutes ride for 150php). There you will have lots of other options. They offer different trips if you want to explore snorkeling or waterfalls etc. prices at the resort is what you must expect at a resort - more expensive than going local, but to be honest, there’s not much local options. Most of the bars and restaurants are based on tourists. The only obvious room for improvement at the resort is in the bar. They have little knowledge about wine and the drinks are medium quality. All in all this is the best place to stay in Moalboal if you are looking for a beautiful quiet place to relax your holidays.
Thank you so much for your nice review Vigwick. Well noted you comment on the BAR, we are working on it. Two F&B staff left for a contract abroad, another one suffered a severe motorbike accident so right now I have only to old staff and three new that we are still training. With regards to wine, I grew up with wine and I would love to keep a stock on classy wines. The problem is, beyond a range of 15 to 30 USD it doesn't sell, Many of our guest stay one to two weeks. Unlike when you are in the city where people go fine dining once in week they don't mind spending on a real good bottle of wine. Likewise. most of our wines are chosen like best quality with in the mentioned price range. Next time you are here, address me in person with regards to wine.

Everything was first class. The grounds were lovely with flowers everywhere. The food was great. The service in the dining room and spa was friendly and efficient. The staff is a real asset. The open air dining room looks out over the sea. This is the third time I have stayed there and will go again if possible.

Actually we only get here, because they had access to their private beach. We had lunch here, very nice pizzas and it was allowed to used their private beach for free. The view of the restaurant was amazing! The staff of the restaurant were very nice, actually the resort looks amazing! But I can't tell how the rooms look like.

Beste FSahertian, hartelijk bedankt voor het leuke komentaartje! Yes, I do also speak Dutch. Hope you will stay overnight on your next visit. To all those following us, the resort restaurant on our beach site is open to the public! Just to avoid confusion, bring in foods or drinks are not welcome and the pool is only for our in-door guests. Walk-Ins however can ask for a day-stay room, 10 am to 5 pm (Max 2 pax) at 50% of our over-night rates, availability permitting. You will find dolphinhouseresort on FB or dolphin-house on the web

Fantastic food, staff and facilities. We spent a lovely three days and it was a great location to serve as our base as we explored the surrounding area. The staff are super friendly. Pool needs a little work and our room was a little dated but overall really great stay.

Hi Phil good to read you enjoyed your fantastic time with us. Always good to hear from our visitors how we can improve. You make me curious. " Pool need a little work nnd the room some update". For the pool do you mean the big grass ambarella's, it's scheduled... waiting for the grass delivery or was there anything different / specific. As for the rooms, yes I know, we are catching up on that after close to 3 years Covid stillstand. Immagine the place after a Cat.5 Typhoon ~18 month ago. up to 300Km/h for half of the night. I had made a reservation at this resort from Thursday night through to Sunday. Unfortunately, I contracted Covid-19 and was really sick, so I couldn't travel. I reached out to them to change the dates or cancel my booking, I was happy to pay a fee due to the lateness. Although I received refunds from Klook, Cathay Pacific, and Air Asia, I was denied any assistance from the Dolphin Resort, despite the complications that can arise during post-Covid travel. When I emailed the CEO, I received an unhelpful and rude reply, which is unacceptable in the service industry. They suggested that I should have purchased insurance, which is a ridiculous response. This resort is a joke of an operation. If you ever need to change your plans due to unforeseen circumstances, I strongly advise against staying at this place! They are inflexible and lack compassion. Despite saying that they take the health of their guests and staff seriously, it would seem it's easier to just turn up with Covid next time. We plan to make our way to Moalboal, but it certainly will not be at Dolphin Resort.

IN SHORT: Jontyw681, in Fact Tasham Ramsey never visited our place. Last March he booked 2 nights May 26-28 a NON-REFUNDABLE Promo Rate using BOOKING.COM. He cancelled his booking on arrival day requesting by email refund cause his partner got Covid, if not he would write the worst review we ever got.

Very nice experience. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Snorkeling can be done just out side of the guesthouse. Location good - if want to have lunch/dinner or party outside the guest house, it takes only 15min to local town.

We booked 10 days with Dolphin-House directly, as from experience this has always worked best for us. It was not our first time in this resort, therefore we knew that we would not be disappointed. Even after the pandemic, Rudy and his staff delivered to full satisfaftion, even though they were reduced in numbers. Food was excellent, same as the rooms and the fact that the weather stayed nice throughout our stay made this a perfect stay in Moalboal. See you next year :-)

Absolutely beautiful resort. We booked for 2 nights but ended up extended. The place is stunning with multicoloured flowers everywhere you look. The pool is great to relax by, and the dive school and coral reefs on the door step are fantastic, hardly believable that you don't have to leave the resort! The main Moalboal coastal area is 15 mins away by Tuktuk but that was never a problem day or night as there were constantly drivers that drove the route.

Dear "Satobys", thank you very much for your time and sharing a few words about us! We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. About the gardens and flowers well it's not easy to teach the staff "make it look like a wild grown piece of paradise... haha. Maybe my previous professional background in arts, industrial design and architecture helped on that but without training the staff it wouldn't look what it looks like. Always happy to hear it doesn't go unseen by our guests. It will be a pleasure to have you again in the future.

We went to Moalboal to dive and choose the hotel due to the diving boutique and the quietness of the hotel location. Nice small pool and a large public beach supplemented the water activities. Restaurant was ok and staff helpful. Need transportation to go to the city for other restaurant choices but we had own transportation so no problem. Rooms are clean and of decent size.

I stayed there one week, nice cosy resort with friendly and helpful staff. Very good management, the owner is from Luxemburg. The lunch and dinner is excellent, cannot be better, good cocktails and also a delicious buffet for breakfast. Relaxing SPA at reasonalble prices. The resort is situated next to a nice sandy white beach. Transfer from Cebu City can last 3 to 5 hours depending on traffic. I liked the single small but comfortable bungalow close to the sea and dive center.
