This is a decent 3 star hotel. We only stayed for 1 night as we were doing a boat trip early the next morning. Firstly check in staff are super friendly including with my children everything was well explained. First room the balcony door was broken even being up high I didnt feel safe about this but was moved rooms immediately. Half board does not include drinks and a bit pricey at €3 a drink for unbranded fizzy orange. Dinner and breakfast were adequate although not a huge choice buffet area is on the smaller side but we enjoyed what we ate. 25minute easy walk with no hills into town, you should also get along with pushchairs, wheelchairs no problem (google maps gives wrong location you need to type continental palace S.A for correct location). Cats are allowed in the hotel which I think is great, they are harmless and keep vermin off the properties. …
I hate to do critics and I hate when random people do it, but as long as it helps people avoiding bad places like this, I would report it. I was there alone for 7 days Food was horrible, I had a half board supplement, but I only ate there once. No taste, the texture of the meat was dry even if it was in gravy sauce. If you ever tried food in cans, it’s the same. Oh yeah, they don’t tell you that you have to pay for the drinks, btw. The staff was kind but not professional enough. The problem was that they told me at the very end of the journey that we have to pay 21€ tax for the state, ok no problem, I wanted to pay of course, but my credit card didn’t work on their old card device (that didn’t have contactless) If I knew, I would have take some cash on me but it was too late, and the bus with people inside was waiting for me ! The receptionist was talking to me like I was 10 years old or something. Telling me I should always have cash on me. I am in my rights not to have cash on me. This was so humiliating. Another customer paid in cash for me kindly and now I owe him that money. I can’t stand owing people money. For a 4 stars Hotel, it should be much better than that. The end of my stay there was a disaster. Don’t go to that Hotel 🤦🏻♂️…
The room was spacious, with a good size balcony. The hotel was peaceful, and the pool area lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds. The environment was spacious and the service good. All the food fresh and nicely presented. Convenient for Kos town. I agree probably 3 star - certainly very nice for a relaxing holiday.
Close enough to the town for nightlife but far enough away not to hear it. A very friendly hotel with amazing staff. Rooms are kept very clean and the views are fabulous. Everywhere is spacious and airy and there is food to suit every taste.I have now stayed at the Continental Palace 14 times and never been disappointed.
Facilities The room: Very basic, functional. 2 beds, cabinet, TV and hair dryer. Dinning room: - Dinner: No beverages are served, even for water you have to pay (you can't bring your own). - Cats are everywhere in the island and the same goes for the dinning room. Cats are everywhere, walking between the tables, jumping on tables, eating from plates (people are feeding them!!!). Breakfast: Good variety of food Room cleanliness: Excellent Comfort: Not at all, the beds are very old and squeak on every move, the mattress is hard (we took the extra blankets and padded the bed), only two electric sockets located far from the bed (if you want to charge your cell or use your laptop). Location: Excellent Stuff: Most of them very friendly (especially in the reception) in the dinning room and the restaurant. Free WiFi: Good signal in the lobby, poor in the room (First floor just above the kitchen) Parking: Free TV Channels:Many, most of them in Greek or German. Very few in English. Value for money: Decent. Keep in mind the following: Local tax 3 euro per night, safe will cost you extra (almost 3 euro per night), mini bar usage as a fridge (5 euro per night), bottle of water for dinner 3.6 euro (beer \ wine will cost more...) * The mini bar charges are stated in the room on the mini bar menu, we were not told about this at the reception and we were not charged.…
