I adored this hotel. From looking like an exotic castle to upmarket clientele, everything was spot on. It was quiet even though there was entertainment every night. Food was fabulous, two pools to choose from and the location was perfect too. Just outside the town centre meant it was close enough to walk into but away from the bustle. The... More

I think it is appropriate to start with an admission that I am a fan of this hotel and all that it offers but I also have a critical mind and will record my honest thoughts. In sum, if what matters to you on your holiday in the sun in Greece are nice rooms, cleanliness, good quality and selection of... More

Pros: Very clean, spacious room, with a balcony facing the pool with access to the pool (not all rooms are facing the pool though). Quiet (yet it was off-season). Plenty of food for breakfast and dinner with a large variety. It was only half board but we practically didn’t need any extra meal. Two pools + one for children. Good... More

If all you want is to relax sitting by the pool in glorious sunshine, then I would highly recommend this hotel, at this time of year. We had a standard room with balcony, as didn't need to pay extra to make tea! However; whilst we didn't complain about the broken shower fitting, was surprised the maid had not reported it... More

Booked this last minute a bargain £800 for 11 nights half board at this lovely Thomson Platinum hotel. We went in first week of school holidays so to get it for the price we did was a bonus! Our first impressions of this hotel was "wow" what a lovely hotel in a nice location too! Because we arrived late the... More

This is a really nice hotel, excellent food with a wide variety every night, immaculate and clean rooms and friendly staff. The hotel is a five minute bus ride from the centre of Kos town, very easy and only 1 euro each way. There is car/bike hire right below the hotel and a very good cycle path into town which... More

Our second visit to the Platanista on Kos. Requested the same room and the staff complied, grateful thanks. Still amazing. Staff helpful and friendly, rooms excellent and clean. Food spectacular. Met some interesting people. Love Kos and the people. Weather exceptional for late September. I highly recommend this hotel if you want peace and quiet. All the staff deserve a... More

Situated on the outskirts of Kos town. Was a bit apprehensive at first when the bus turned into the hotel drive but pleasantly surprised when entering hotel foyer. Whole complex spotless and staff hard working and polite. Pool areas well kept and plenty sun beds for all . Usual activities on during the day for those interested. Hotel does not... More
