We had a real good time on the resort. The rooms are ok, pools are ok, food is good and varied and there is enough choice for everyone. Both children and parents are entertained well by the international animation team. Every evening a new show (except on Thursdays, that’s their day off)

I am writing this review in the hope that anyone about to stay here can feel assured that they are going to have a good holiday. I nearly cancelled my holiday after reading some of the reviews but so glad we didn’t. We found the whole resort to be very clean and tidy. All the pools were regularly maintained, rooms were serviced everyday, We had no issues with any of the staff and in fact found the majority to be very friendly and helpful. I did notice that the staff really appreciated a ‘Thank You’ and a smile. The food was great and very varied. It was not 5 star but we were not paying 5 star prices. At times it was busy but this was school holidays and we found if you went early or later at mealtimes then there was no issues. If you’ve got young kids then I recommend the kids club, our four grandchildren loved it. The all inclusive drinks were typical local brands but not bad at all. I must take this opportunity to mention Anthimus the bartender at the water slide bar. He was always smiling and so friendly, every time we saw him it made you feel good - a great ambassador for the Kipriotis Village. Enjoy your hols!

we stayed here at Kipriotis village for 10 days and before leaving I had checked the comments on TripAdvisor and I was afraid to come on holiday here .. but don't believe what people write negative about this hotel! ok maybe the hotel is a bit dated but overall it is great and above all the entertainment during the day is always active and with a lot of variety of activities, and then during the evening there is a mini disco for children in the very funny and nice theater and after every evening there is a different show made by the animation team! they are really talented and professional with shows that left us speechless! I really congratulate all their efforts during the day and especially for the shows, after each show there is beautiful music to dance and have some fun with them. I was sorry to read negative comments about animation because they are good and professional, they work hard all day and people have to understand that they are not robots but human beings who also need rest in the evening after a certain time, because I also have done animation and I know what it means to do this job. good guys especially to the team leaders Diego and Sara who manage the day and evening shows very well. thank you guys

Family holiday, picked for large family group. Two rooms one cleaned daily, the other not cleaned during 10 day stay, had to request bathroom bin be emptied after 3 days on regular basis- not pleasant when all toilets roll has to be binned and not flushed. Bath filthy had to clean it myself-but still couldn’t get all the grime of it. Toilet disgusting, badly stained couldn’t clean with bleach tablets, rep said she would ask for a deep clean but nothing happened. No spare rooms, saw countless people at reception asking for room change. Slides on pirate shop not open, pools over a metre deep only one small paddling pool for toddlers. Palmy area very tired and scruffy looking despite this being the childrens area. Play area at Olympic pool has badly damaged rubber matting- potential danger for small children. Table tennis bats have no rubber on them, can buy balls from the 1 shop on site. Some Football pitches chained shut because unsafe, astro surface damaged on remaining pitch, same for tennis court Restaurants badly understaffed, check food before putting on your plate shell fish in pasta with veg sauce!! Repetitive menu, pork in gyros very fatty, burgers undercooked Reception staff give out incorrect info re late check out, room changes and not particularly helpful. Most other staff friendly. Half of the facilities closed—- indoor pool, gym, toy shop, various gift shops, fish spa, what could have been a shopping mall now looks depressing due to empty units Open - gift shop and a shop selling swimwear the 2 shops opposite each other with only 1 member of staff between them. Certainly not 3 star, has been a lovely hotel at some point but need total refurbishment and investment.

We travelled as a family of 6, kids aged 2-14. I was very worried after reading reviews but we’ve still all had a great time. Yes the hotel is a bit less glossy round the edges but we found all staff very helpful and the kids loved the pools. We found eating at the Greek restaurant each night really pleasant, lovely food and much calmer! Rooms were fine, air con a bit noisy but it worked and my request for a kettle was very quickly responded to. Rooms cleaned every day, bins emptied and fresh towels given. Breakfast is fine if you go about 8:30, it gets a bit busier after 9 so we avoided that. Food is good and always hot. I did have to get up at 6:30 am though to reserve our spot round the pool, but it was fine as it meant the kids were happy. We loved the pool with the boat and slides, they really all enjoyed this!. The teenagers loved the hot dogs, gyros and burgers available round the Olympic pool each day, so they happily queued for these each day, gyros were v yummy!. Lifeguards very friendly and so is the animation team. Evening disco our two year old really enjoyed, the other entertainment was ok, our teenagers weren’t that impressed but it was fine to have a drink and watch some of it. We got bikes across the road into Kos, which was really good and very cheap, we had a lovely morning exploring Kos and had an icecream in the harbour. We also did the yellow submarine boat trip, well worth it, kids got to jump off the top deck and the glass bottom show with mermaids entertained the 2 year old, something fun to do one afternoon. Our last night we did the Greek night through jet 2, this was fab, we went to Zia, a beautiful place with a great sunset, Greek dancing and yummy food, it was good to get out of the hotel and show the kids some real Greece. Overall a good holiday, the hotel does look a bit tired but we all enjoyed ourselves. Hope this helps some families as I know I was very stressed reading reviews before I came.

I had been worried about the holiday because of all the negative reviews, but it was so much better than expected and excellent value. Rooms: the rooms were very clean - cleaners came in every day and swept the floor and changed towels. Our sheets were changed halfway through the week. The bathroom looked a little worn but it was fine. The shower over the bath worked well (tip you have to set it to shower before you turn the water on). The air conditioning was really good and I had to request blankets - which arrived quickly- as my husband likes the room much cooler than I do. WIFI: Reception in the rooms was fine. It did need to reload sometimes but it was perfectly adequate for emails and browsing the net. Food: Not all the restaurants were open. Contrary to other reviews, the food was hot. The coffee served in the restaurants was tasteless! Breakfast: Good buffet with hot and cold food, pastries and fruit. There were different serving stations offering the same selection to reduce queuing. There were queues for pancakes after about 8.30. Lunch: A choice of the pool bar serving soulvaki and one of the restaurants with a buffet. This buffet did get bit repetitive. One criticism of the soulvaki was that the only meat available was pork. Dinner: The main restaurant had a good selection of food with a different theme each night and the queues were not too bad and usually moved quickly. The Greek restaurant was good for a change of scene in the evening and didn't book up too quickly. Pools: excellent - slides and pools seemed clean and well maintained, The slides were very good and lifeguards were made sure they were used safely. Given the number of bars and guests, the pool areas were kept clean and relatively litter free. The number of pools meant they didn't feel crowded and there were a couple of shallow pools for young children. The olympic pool was great for swimming lengths. Aqua zumba and aqua gym classes were good fun. The loungers were all reserved by about 9, but you could usually find somewhere to sit and loungers generally started to become available after 4ish. Bars: The inclusive cocktails were OK but sweet so it was sometimes worth adding an extra shot of spirits. Also one of the cocktails ran out and wasn't re-stocked for a few days. It would have been nice if the main bar in the hotel had perhaps offered some extra cocktails - even if at an additional cost. Service: Generally v good. We had an issue with keys and this was sorted out quickly. Nearby: The beach is v close to the resort but is pebbly so take beach shoes. There is not much to do in walking distance outside the complex. We hired bikes from the place opposite the hotel to cycle into Kos Town, which was a lovely cycle route and about the same price as the bus. We went with Jet2 and the transfer by coach took an hour and a half. However if you book a local taxi (we did this via the internet rather than Jet2), the trip only takes 30 mins so worth getting a quote if you are arriving late. Overall, we were really happy with the holiday we had for the price we paid. It was excellent value.

I’ve never posted a review on here before but I felt compelled to do so as we relied a lot on the reviews before coming away and we were getting slightly concerned as some of the reviews were awful. We are here at the moment (2 families of 4) and I can honestly say I can’t see what all the fuss is about! We arrived on a late flight last Sunday and we were checked in hassle free and taken to our room in the little golf cart that they have on site by a couple of very friendly guys who helped us with the luggage and showed us to the room. Now the room is dated so don’t expect marble bathrooms with robes and slippers but it is big, clean and everything you would expect from this kind of complex. Balcony is large and perfect for the late night drink and game of cards. A lot of nonsense on here about rooms not being cleaned, this is not true, they have cleaned our room every day. Again, probably not a deep clean but new bedding and towels and they mop and sweep through so can’t complain about that. Sun loungers are an issue, they have signs up saying that any towels left unattended for 45 minutes will be removed but that doesn’t happen so be aware! If you want a lounger by the bottom pool then you’re looking 7.30am latest and for the top 2 pools (by the pirate ship) you really need to be there 6.30-6.45 to bag a spot. This is ridiculous but not the hotel’s fault, it’s the same everywhere now. Food is also not an issue, plenty of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner. Yes it’s busy (there is an Italian restaurant that is not open at the moment) so that doesn’t help but it’s not that bad. Big queue for pancakes in the mornings but 10 minutes max, the girl who does the pancakes is really nice (constantly on the go and having to deal with rude Brits) so be nice to her when you get there as she gives you a generous amount! Book the Greek restaurant on an evening as it’s quieter (they say only once a week but we’ve been a few times), the food is excellent and again loads of choice. There is a snack bar by the Olympic pool that serves Gyros and chips 12-230 and burger and chips 3-5 and this is all excellent. The only thing we could see that wasn’t included in the all inclusive was slushies, everything else was. The beer is local stuff and yes it is watered down but it’s perfectly drinkable, anyone that thinks that all inclusive hotels put premium lager on the pumps is deluded, that’s never been the case. The bar gets really busy after the kids disco at around 9.30 but it’s normally only a 10 minute wait. The animation team are all great as well, they really put a shift in and there is always one of them on hand if you need anything. Kos town is 10 minutes on the bus and is well worth a visit, loads of restaurants and shops. Only issue is the buses do get rammed late on so try and avoid the last bus home as it’s a bit crazy. There is also a little beach called Ammos beach which is about 5 minutes on the bus in the opposite direction to Kos Town, very chilled and the water is lovely, loads of fish and great for the kids to go snorkelling. So in summary, food is good, staff are friendly, pools are great and the sun is shining all day so what more could you want. This place just needs a bit of TLC, it’s a 3 star that is desperate to be a 4 star but it’s not there yet, I’m sure it will get back to it. If you need any more info please direct message me!

Do not waste your money and book somewhere else. I wished i had listened to my gut and chose a different hotel and a different resort. This hotel is so boring that i could not wait to leave and normally I'm sad when its time to go home. Normally when i get back from holiday i always have good memories etc, but i have none whatsoever from here, and i deeply regret wasting my money on this. I would not go back here even if i was paid to. I checked in and the room was clean and spacious with plenty of room for your clothes etc which was great. However, throughout my stay my room was never actually cleaned. The floor never once got swept or mopped and got dirtier by the day. The bathroom floor, sink, bath and toilet were never cleaned either. By the end of my stay the room was just filthy. Fresh towels were literally dumped on the bed everyday, but never cleaned. I only got toilet roll when i was down to my last 2 squares, and that's not an exaggeration either. I found the reception staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. If you want to play basketball then you will need to buy your own ball as there is not one available. The restaurant is an absolute joke with no organisation and no order within it. I went for breakfast on my first morning which was chaotic. I was walking around with a plate of food looking for an empty table. When i eventually found a table my food was cold. I went for dinner at night and it was exactly the same. I was again looking for an empty table, but when i found one there was no cutlery on the table, so i had to go searching for some. There is no table clothes etc on the tables and it is old wooden tables all marked and dirty looking. Cutlery should be either left in a cutlery tray near the food for people to get themselves or for waiters/waitresses to ensure there is always cutlery on the tables. i witnessed people putting their plates of food down, then going in search of cutlery then by the time they got back their food had been taken away. Occasionally there would be the odd knife or fork on a table, and you don't know if someone else has touched it or not. There is no order in this restaurant whatsoever. There should be more staff watching the tables and when they become available then they can clear them and get them reset etc then showing people to clean tables where there is cutlery available instead of having guests walking around from inside to outside then back inside again with their plates of food in search of an empty table. This was the most unpleasant experience i have ever had and eating in the restaurant was not enjoyable, i dreaded it every night. The waiters are fast, but the waitresses are so slow, I've seen snails move faster. The restaurant is meant to open at 18.30 for dinner, but that wasn't always the case as late sometimes, and you are waiting in a queue. I went to the restaurant for lunch once and never again. The chips were for sure form the day before as you could see they were reheated. I'm not a fussy eater in the slightest, but these were not edible at all, they were disgusting. The pizza was just as bad, you just could not eat it as it was solid. I never went back there for lunch again. The snack bar was much better for food as it was all freshly cooked there and then. It was nice, hot and tasty. The Gyros was lovely, and the man that serves them was nice and also very fast which kept the queue down and not long at all to wait. Eating here was a much more pleasant experience than the restaurant. The pools were average and the lifeguards were on the ball and watched everything which was great. However, if you want a sun lounger then you need to get up at stupid o`clock to get one because they are all reserved with towels very early. They should have someone go round at 8.30 and lift all towels that are on loungers and leave them at an area at reception like they do in other hotels I've been to. I arrived at the pool 1 morning and saw 4 sun loungers beside me with towels on them and the people who reserved them did not appear until later on in the afternoon. This is simply not fair to other people and the hotel needs to do something about that and enforce some action. The entertainment staff are on a mission to sell t-shirts as i heard them say they get a 20-30% cut or around that for every t-shirt sold, so they will be extra nice to you if you have kids. They are average when it comes to entertainment throughout the day, however they are practically non-existent at night. There is a kids disco at night (if you can call it that). The kids are on the small stage and the entertainment staff are there doing the same routine 7 nights a week word for word. Not much interaction at all. After the kids disco there is absolute rubbish entertainment. A comedy show turned out to be more like a kids magic show. Greek night were in such a hurry that they could not wait to get away. There was an acrobat show and at they end they were going around with hats seeking money from the guests, and they have already been paid for their show from the hotel. I found that shocking and the hotel staff should not be allowing this.( no wonder everyone scattered after that). Then there is bingo (i will leave that one there lol). There is absolutely nothing to entertain adults whatsoever. The so called entertainment team have no imagination and they themselves should be entertaining and should be ensuring adult guests have something to do at night. They don't do anything (1 night is not enough), they put on music and leave guests to it. They should be interacting a lot more with guests at night and having fun and proper entertainment instead of just popping some music on. Its lazy of them, and they should use their imagination and arrange entertainment and involve everyone to have enjoyable nights. I used to work in entertainment and these staff have no enthusiasm and cant be bothered to entertain at night. The lack of interaction with guests at night is shocking. I usually come home from my holidays with good memories and a favourite holiday song etc, but i have none of these. Come 10.30ish there is absolutely nothing to do whatsoever. I have never been so bored on any holiday as i was on this one. Everyone is sat round the pool bar with their watered down drinks listening to love songs before 11pm. Entertainment for adults is non-existent. I don't know why i bothered bringing clothes for night time as there is nothing to do. The cocktails are pre-made in post mixes. You can drink them all day and night and you will still be sober. The bar staff at the pool bar were lovely and very pleasant and always smiling, but the drinks are watered down. The woman at the beach bar in the morning is extremely slow, she does not seem to have any motivation at all. There is a lobby bar near reception, but it closes at 10.00pm which is not very good. There are reviews on here which are put on by the hotel staff to try and keep the ratings up. All the reviews made by them have 5 stars, they are all in broken English, they all have pretty much the same spelling errors, they all say the exact same things. All these accounts are made up on that same particular day and you will see they only have the one contribution as well, and do not give a true honest reflection on the hotel as its the staff writing them. I felt anxious about arriving at this hotel and now i know why. It has honestly been the worst and most boring holiday i have ever been on. I feel i like it has been money down the drain. I would not recommend this hotel and i would not come back even it it was for free.

The amenities: The pools and waterslides are great, the playgrounds are nice (though a swing for the younger ones would be nice). The greens and the spaces surrounding the pools could be cleaner. The room: Spacious, but broken safe, refrigerator radiating extreme heat (likely fire hazard) in need of renovation. The food: On a 7 day stay, we twice felt the need to eat outside the hotel (the tavernas on the seaside are quite good). The food is average, but not for 4 stars. And putting white cheese instead of feta in a Greek salad is a shame. Plastics: One way plastic everywhere....and the hotel is next to protected wetlands. The use of one way plastics in that amount should clearly be forbidden. There are a lot of hotels that handle this much better. Nonetheless, we had a very nice time and if the above matters are taken seriously this could be a great hotel.
