We arrived for a 14-night stay on June 10th. Check-in was quick and we were in our room soon after. We had room 1327 with a sea view, partly occluded by the block in front of us. Pros- View is stunning! Definitely what sold us this holiday. The infinity pool is insanely beautiful. The pool nearer the main bar is where we spent most of our time and it was always easy to get sunbeds without being up early to "reserve" them. Staff in the main bar, particularly Magdalena during the day and Athina at night were fantastic and always served with a smile. Beds in the room were the comfiest we have ever slept on! The room was cleaned very efficiently every day and the cleaning staff were always very cheerful, despite having to work in the heat. We are not "entertainment" people as the evening shows in our experience have started very late, however, there was a show or music 5 nights a week at 8:30 pm. The Legends were particularly good. Bus access to Kos town was cheap and easy. Cons- Our room was tired and dated. The TV, furniture, kettle and power points were well worn. No USB points at all even though some other rooms have them. Our bathroom was very shabby. There was limescale on the fittings and bath screen, the mirror was worn, the bath/shower mixer was poorly plumbed into the tiles with a ridiculously short hose (later rectified) and a towel rack barely hanging onto the wall. No water/soft drinks supplied in the fridge apart from a bottle when we first arrived. We stockpiled throughout the day from the bar to get round having to pay 2 euros a bottle from the shop. Restaurant service was hit-and-miss. We went several meals without being offered water or drinks and the coffee is awful/lukewarm. The food was definitely not 5-star compared to other hotels we have stayed at. The selection was varied but very random and often not very hot. Good selection of fruit and desserts but missing simple things like plain olive oil! We have never had to pay for snacks at an all-inclusive hotel anywhere in the world yet certain items at the restaurant by the infinity pool were chargeable. The drinks were generally poor quality and the beer tasted watery. The wine was grim. The amount of plastic used by the hotel is crazy for an "Eco" hotel. Reusable bottles/cup and water stations would be far greener. While the infinity pool is amazing, you couldn't get a bed after 8 am. The 45-minute rule was definitely not enforced while we were there. Due to its location, there are many steps around the hotel and to the beach which will not suit everyone. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. We may have been unfortunate to have been given a room that hasn't been refurbished yet and that is what has influenced this review. Unfortunately, added to the food and drink issues, we won't be back.

Highlights: - Beautiful superior sea/pool view room - modern, cleaned every day, plenty of towels etc. But you do need to pay extra to upgrade to this. - Buffet food is very good in David's Hall. Always a good selection of puddings, a different meat/fish every day, lots of lovely salads. Different themed nights. If you're AI you also get a visit to Soya Asian and the Mediterranean restaurant. I would recommend booking this as soon as you arrive as these get booked up very quickly. Improvements needed: - Not enough shower gels, hair washes ect. provided for one person for a week, let alone a couple. - We had to get maintenance to check our air conditioning unit because the output wasn't that of a typical a/c unit. Therfore, once your room has been cleaned I would recommend, putting one key in the door unit which controls the power all day and taking the spare out with you to keep the air con on otherwise you'll be uncomfortable when you return for many hours. - A blind needs to be put up in the toilet. Great blackout curtains to the sea/terrace but the light just comes through the toilet window. - They do not enforce the 45 minute rule by the infinity pool and people were leaving their towels down from 5.45am and wouldn't return until 10/10.30 which wasn't fair on others. They only enforced this rule on 1 day out of 7. - The cocktails and drinks on AI are rubbish. They clearly use cheap alcohol and pour coke from 2l. Bottles which isn't acceptable for a 5* in my opinion - coke was flat. Cocktails were syrupy, in tiny glasses. Again, for a 5* we expected more. - More needs to be done to reduce plastic consumption for a self proclaimed 'eco' friendly hotel - they use bottled water for everything and must use thousands a day. At least get a water fountain and provide re-usable plastic cups. - Before you book AI note that the menus for all the restaurants and bars are misleading. We assumed that everything with a gold stone was included. However pretty much everything has a gold stone but the majority of the time this just means you get a discounted price for something which goes against 'all inclusive'. - The service can be rubbish. We had to ask for drinks at mealtimes on several occasions as the wait staff kept forgetting us. Again, we asked reception to collect our bags twice on our last day (which they offer), but nobody turned up so we gave up waiting in the end and walked. Down by the infinity pool, one of the waiters pops around and asks you if you'd like drinks but the other, sits on her phone at the bar and occasionally comes around to collect drinks. Overall verdict: Good food, lovely infinity pool but would we return? Probably not.

The only thing that really lets this hotel down is the standard of the bedrooms. We had a partial sea view, which was lovely, however the bathroom was very dated and in bad shape. There was a broken towel rail, the shower door had gone mouldy and the mirror was tatty around the edges. We had two rooms due to a family holiday, and the other room was much brighter as it had white walls rather than three different types of wallpaper that made the room feel really dark. We asked to be moved, and were shown almost identical rooms so we didn’t move. We were unable to pay for an upgrade due to the hotel being full. Pros - the view from this hotel is incredible . The infinity pool is simply amazing - food was great - we’re vegetarian and plenty of options. Loved both a La carte restaurants - the staff were so so kind and always made a huge effort - kids club and mini disco were great for our baby - huge effort made for our daughter’s birthday with a cake and well wishes for her day Cons - hotel is built on a huge hill so if you have mobility needs or a pram, it’s almost impossible to get anywhere without encountering steps. They offer a golf cart to help drive you around but some areas still require steps - quality of rooms - main restaurant could do with aircon Would we return? Absolutely - but we would pay for an upgrade

Really enjoyed my 10 night stay here. The infinity pool was excellent and plenty of sun beds. Room was good and cleaning staff were very efficient, but I would have thought a minibar should be standard not just a fridge with one bottle of water in it. Food was very nice with good choices. We particularly enjoyed the Asian restaurant where the food was exceptional. My only issue was the level service in the buffet restaurant. In the morning you had to wait a long time before anyone would offer you coffee and in the evening plates were stacking up without being cleared after each course. Having said that the two girls that waited on in the bar were superb. They were attentive enthusiastic and very friendly - a credit to the hotel 👍. The entertainment was good, especially the three tenors however they were on twice during my stay as were other acts. I would have expected more variety. I would recommend going to kos town as there is plenty to see and do. The bus picks up just outside the hotel and is cheap enough. All in all it was an enjoyable holiday but if I didn’t know otherwise I would have rated the hotel 4 to 4+. Not quite a 5* for me

We booked after reading all the amazing reviews but sadly for us it did not live up to its five stars. It feels more like a four star hotel. On entering the lobby we saw a big pile of dust which wasn’t the best start and no welcome drink, which wasn’t the five star experience we’re used to. Maybe we were unlucky with our room. It seemed quite small for a five star and there was a fault with the sink so it sprayed water all over us. We reported this and it got fixed very quickly. The hot water was inconsistent and the shower spray went all over the bathroom floor even on the lowest setting. There was an unidentifiable switch which actually came out the wall exposing its wires which didn’t feel very safe in a bathroom! Our room was very tired with paint peeling off the headboard and the fridge cupboard door hanging off its hinges, see pictures. It didn’t feel like five star luxury. The staff were lovely but either rushed off their feet or poorly managed as service was slow. There was no one to show you to a table for breakfast or dinner so you were left wandering around the restaurant trying to find a table then waiting ages to be offered a drink. It could be so much better managed. On the plus side the sea view is beautiful and the infinity pool is stunning. We were able to get sunbeds anytime. The beach was lovely too though a trek up steep steps to get up to the main hotel afterwards and no toilet facilities. It’s a decent hotel and you’d have a pleasant time there but we’ve stayed in some amazing hotels and I don’t think this warrants five stars. Aside from the beautiful pool and stunning view it lacks those extra special touches.

Credit given where credit is due the whole experience for our first time in Greece is nothing short of amazing!! From our first point of contact with the coach driver who told us we have chosen the best hotel and boy was he not wrong. The reception were so welcoming eventhough it was nearly 2am. The views are out of this world and although I've taken some pretty stunning photos it still doesnt do it justice. The buffet selection at any time of day is suitable for everyone and Constantly replenished compliments to the chefs and waiter staff who run a tight ship in the restaurants. If your wanting the best Asian restaurant then I recommend booking the Soya.We went twice and honestly couldn't fault it. The check out here was easy the concierge was quick and friendly not letting us lift a finger. We want to say a special thank you to the pool bar staff especially Charis (King of cocktails) and Dessy. These two work unbelievably hard and the way they kept all of us hydrated in the summer sun whilst remembering our own concoctions and morning coffees not once in the ten nights we was here did we hear a single person complain about waiting or the wrong order. They are a credit to this hotel and really do make it the 5* experience and title its earnt. We both hope to return again next year !!

This was our first holiday as a couple and From the moment we arrived could tell that it was gonna be the best 10 nights. Everything about the hotel was unreal. Everything was always so clean and easy to find. All of the people were very attentive and helpful abouy everything Especially Ahmed the towel man who was always smiley and happy to help. All of the bar staff seemed to always be very happy to be at work and that came across in the service. Karis the barman was unbelievable and made a lot of our late afternoon/evening sessions in the pool bar so good. The view and pools soeak for themselves and I have not experienced anything like it before. Finally the food was some of the best hotel food I’ve ever had. Even from the buffet style main restaurant where there was always different variety. To the Al a carte and soya restaurant which even my girlfriend compared and said the food was as good as what we’d had at sexy fish in London! Overall I would 100% recommend to anyone who asked and will definitely return and hope to see the same faces. 10/10

The resort is exceptional, the towel man, Ahmed is very friendly and helpful. The maids made the rooms look incredible everyday. The view from here is insane, & well worth the money. If you’re looking to come here, don’t think twice. The food is lovely, the manager is very friendly and helpful. There’s no trouble; the cashier at the pool bar, nikos is great. Always quick and fast service. The pools are lovely and cool, they are refreshing in the hot sun. & the reception is on hand for every inquiry. The internet here is nothing short of brilliant, there is connection everywhere, poolside, at the beach and at all areas in the resort. The weather is lovely. Always hot, & I think this place is really a destination which we will be coming back to again, & again!

Exceptional Stay at Michelangelo Hotel & Spa We have recently returned from our 7 night stay at Michelangelo Hotel & Resort and we can honestly say this hotel lives up to it’s 5 star reviews! We can honestly not fault the staff, service, food, accommodation, facilities etc everything was magnificent. My husband fainted on the 1st day by the Infinity Pool which was really scary, however the staff came over straight away and provided great care and attention to my husband. We were visited by multiple staff on the night that it happened to make sure he was OK and to see if we needed anything. The hotel provided us with drinks, water, and I got taken to the restaurant with XXXXX who was able to sort out meals for us with a member of staff who brought them to our room. The love and care this hotel showed to myself and my husband was priceless and I can’t fault anything about this holiday at all. During our stay we visited the Mediterranean and Asian restaurants which were included in our package. We booked via the App which is really easy and both meals were exceptional. Both restaurants you had a choice of a 4 course meal and we were over the moon with the food and service at both. We high recommend the Steak at the Mediterranean and Chicken Curry at The Asian. The morning buffet, lunch and evening dinner in Davids Hall were fantastic with lots of choice and options for everyone. It was total surprise that they  had Lurpak butter!! Our room was faultless, gorgeous balcony overlooking the Aegan Sea which was included and we didn’t pay additional for. Powerful shower and a gorgeous bathroom. The bathroom also had a hairdryer which was incredible. I’m normally disappointed by the hairdryers on holiday but this hairdryer was a great standard and even had a cold blast setting. It was absolutely fantastic! The pools and surrounding gardens were really spotless, beautifully presented and really looked after. Everything was thought about, clean and beautiful. We returned back to the UK looking for another holiday here because it was honestly the best hotel we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at multiple hotels on the Island of Kos which have also been 5 star! I want to give a massive shout out to the Hotel Manager Michalis Kastanakis who provided my husband and I with comfort and gave my husband lots of advice regarding his wounds. Every morning he checked over my husband making sure he was OK and it gave us so much comfort knowing he was taking so much care. We found a great friend in Michalis Kastanakis and we honestly can’t wait to return to the hotel and see Michalis and all of the staff really soon. Michelangelo Hotel & Spa you were first class and absolutely faultless! Thank you so much, love Gabby & Craig xxx

What a relaxing and amazing experience Michelangelo Resort & Spa was. The service throughout the hotel was fantastic, in particular the infinity pool bar area. Your cocktail glass will never be empty and they’ll be delivered with a joke and a smile! Nikos was also great overseeing the whole service and ensuring all guests had everything they needed. The whole infinity pool area is breathtaking. The resort has comfy sun loungers to lie and take in the surreal views of the sea and Turkey in the distance. Everything is made easy for you with a daily towel service provided by Akmed who will ensure you’ve always got a smile on your face. In the evenings there’s a relaxed bar area with entertainment every other night. However, again, where the resort excels is the views so just an evening sat on the balcony with a drink is special. A great holiday for a couple. Overall a real 5* experience the views, facilities, staff, service (and again the views).
