My husband and I just finished a fabulous week in 54. Service was fantastic thanks to Bernice, Ivan and Alberto. Our hurlers were truly first rate, changing dinner reservations to accommodate our new friends, always refreshing our ice and limes, and never more than a message away. Also, we must give a shout-out to our previous butlers and bartender (Edgar!), who we truly see as family each time we return: Adriana, Hector, Claudio, Candido and Alondra. Wine was much better than the summer, but we still ran into a couple of those dreaded St. Michael bottles. Hopefully, they will be gone by our next visit. The new French label is decent, but really like the Chilean label best. We have started buying Mr. Martinez’s El Cielo label, which we enjoy, but comes at an extra cost. Food was excellent. Wine Kitchen was a true standout this trip, but all others were great too. We think the Generations food is currently better than EDR and EDC. Can’t wait to return!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here at El Dorado Royale. It was our first time visiting, but I can see coming back. Staff is incredible – special recognition to Samy, who took care of us at the las Islas restaurant! Great service, food overall was very good. Every easy to find your own “quiet place” on site ( we aren’t fans of the large hotel / lots of people around one pool). Great job El Dorado, highly recommend.

The staff are what makes ElDorado Royale incredible. This trip I had the pleasure of meeting Jorge from Kick Bar. He shared his knowledge of the area and greeted us every morning with beach towels and ice. He was always positive, we shared a lot of laughs. He is also working nights to become a butler. His attention to detail was excellente and I know he will be very successful in his new role. Great job mi amigo!

Where to begin... This was my first time at El Dorado Royale (having only been to their sister hotel - Seaside Suites) and we are already planning our return trip in Jan/Feb of 2021. That is how much we loved this place and the service they provided. If you've ever been to an all inclusive before this will be a completely different experience! Everything is a la carte and the food was delicious. We found ourselves going to Cocotal for breakfast 6 out of the 7 mornings because of the food but also the amazing service provided by Ramon. Hands down our favorite waiter as he was always smiling and welcoming whenever we walked in for a late breakfast. Thank you Ramon! A great lunch option was "The Spot" which serves great (and healthy) juices and smoothies. After a heavy breakfast it was awesome to have a light and healthy option for lunch (their salmon panini and shrimp salads are also delicious!). Gerardo was a one man show as he was both the host and the waiter for the entire place every time we went. Great service and delicious juices (Cozumel and Bali were our favorites). We enjoyed dinner at Sante Fe twice (one of the best ceviches we've ever had) but D'Italia Casitas took the cake. Appetizers/soups, main course and dessert were all amazing. Nestor was our waiter the first time and we strategically asked for him again the second night we came in. Top notch service and he offered great recommendations from the menu. Highly recommend sitting in his section! Lastly, I feel the need to also give a huge shout out and thank you to Paola (supervisor/manager). We had an issue with the first room we were given and needed a change. Paola was called and listened to everything I had to say and immediately sprung to action. She listed alternative options and made sure we could see them before agreeing to the switch. Additionally she also upgraded a candlelight dinner we already had scheduled and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. She is one of the main reasons we will be coming back and recommending this place to our friends and family. Knowing you will have this type of service on a vacation gives you piece of mind that actually allows you to relax.

Where do I even start?! First, this is our third time at this resort and the reason is, WE LOVE THIS PLACE. We actually just became members are well. The resort had some damage from the hurricanes that came through but the place is still beautiful. The food?!? Well, some of the best food I’ve ever had. My favorite is Santa Fe. But the main star of this place is the staff. The staff is unbelievable. They go beyond for their guest. Our concierge Rodrigo and Jacob were just amazing. Our wedding anniversary is in May and we were unable to make it due to COVID but Jacob made sure we were able to celebrate when we finally arrived in November. We were also there for my birthday as well and they both made sure we celebrated that as well. I honestly feel like I gained two family members. We also had some of the best waiters. (I wish I remembered their names). This place has become our second home and I can’t express enough that the staff is absolutely amazing.
