We loved the Riviera Maya Mayan Palace. Our group consisted of a 62-year-old couple, my husband & myself (late 40s) and 2 teenage girls. We all enjoyed the resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were in Bldg 2, which was perfect. Not so...More
We stayed at the Mayan Palace during March Break and left very unhappy. It was our first time in that part of Mexico and we were very excited to go to the Palancar Reef in Cozumel. We read that the hotel offered a snorkeling excursion...More
We went to this resort for spring break this year with our three boys ages 6,8,and 10. There was never a shortage of things to do to keep them busy. As big as the pool is, we could have spent the entire week just moving...More

Studios have a mini refrigerator and a 2 burner stove. Plus a blender, toaster, and coffeemaker. resort is not all-inclusive but prices are reasonable in restaurants. Plus, there is a store that has "convenience" store prices for many staples. If you want, you can take a shuttle into Playa del Carmen to shop - $6 each way/person. Not worth the time to shop in town. Stay on the resort and eat in the restaurants. If you want to save, purchase breakfast stuff in the store and eat lunch at the pool restaurant and dinner anywhere.
