Stayed at the Lindo January 5 to 12, 2020. Travelled with 2 family members. Have stayed at this compllex twice before at the Maya. Lindo was fine. Very clean. First time I have gone south in January. Normally travel in April. Food: We did al la cartes 6 nights. Had no problem getting decent reservations. Latest we ate was 7:30. Japanese was the best. Thai was good but portions are very small. You may have to go to Buffett after. French, Italian, Mexican and Steak house were just okay. Nothing special. Service was good in all restaurants and at the buffets. We tipped at every meal. One family member is vegan and the restaurants did their best to accommodate her but they need a few more options. She had better success at the buffets. Personally I enjoy the variety at the buffets over the al la cartes. Beach: Really nice beach. Weather was not as warm as I hoped for but I do know it tends to be cooler in January. It was so windy and rough, we could not swim 5 out of the 7 days. Service on the beach was not the greatest and we tipped every time we did get service but didn't make any difference. Usually had to go the the bar to get drinks. Had no problem getting chairs and a palapa at 9am. They cook paella on the beach for lunch on Saturdays and it was really good. The chef will let you stir the pot to get pictures. The have massage huts on the beach. The spa girls will walk around the beach to get business. I didn't use the spa so not sure of the prices. You can also paint pottery on the beach but it is very expensive. You can do it cheaper by the pool or at the Shopping centre. Fun activity and souvenier to take home. Pool: Spent 1 day at the pool. Lots of different areas to relax. Wave pool and lazy river are fun. Again, no problem getting a palapa. As at most resorts, there is always pool games/activities at 4pm. Service at the pool was not great either. Rooms: Appears some updates have been done, mostly in the washrooms. They are still using the bed accents they used in 2004. AC did not work great but keeping the fan on helped. Rooms were very clean and the attendant did a great job. Great towel art. We tipped daily. Lobby: Nice bar but very quiet. Beautiful aquarium in the middle. They had entertainment a few nights. Service was great. Entertainment: The entertainment team were great. Shout out to Gabi, Jennifer, Adrianna and Tarzan. You are a great bunch and great to talk to! They let you know the daily activities at the beach and pool and also the nightly shows. They don't pressure you to participate. Typical beach and pool activities. Went to a couple of the nightly shows and they were good. They bring in outside entertainment for the nightly shows. Shopping: Nice shopping area on the resort. A variety of stores and services. Prices are reasonable so good place for souveniers. They have entertainment some nights Overall this is a great resort and would return again but would go in March or April for the warmer weather. You can use the facilities at the sister properties at the Beach and Del Mar and a few restaurants at the Maya. I do prefer the Maya over the Lindo. Maya is pricier but Lindo is a really good option if price is a factor.

This is my second time to the Iberostar resort, and again was amazing! We had a few families with a bunch of teens, and it was perfect! The service staff was absolutely incredible! I have to call out a few staff members in particular who really made our stay better than we could have imagined- Hugo, the bartender at the pool bar- hands down the nicest guy, and greatest bartender! ALWAYS a big smile on his face, and he really has fun with the guests that he serves! Can't say enough about him. Liz- from the entertainment staff- we introduced ourselves once on the first day, and every day thereafter she came over to our group by the pool, knew our names, and enticed us to join her in games, dancing, etc. I went to the fitness center every day but one- and took yoga (Eva), and Zumba (Diego, Luis, Alexandra). All instructors were wonderful!! Zumba was especially fun!! I absolutely love this resort, and hope to return again for another memorable vacation!

Everything was perfect. Our stay was made wonderful by the help of Yanet, the concierge of lindo the club. We have stayed at the Lindo many times, and both Yanet and Juan Pina, also concierge at the Lindo, the Club made it very enjoyable during our stay during Jan. 15 to 22. Sandy and Larry

Just returned from a week at this great resort. From start to finish, the service and amenities were top notch. We arrived very late on Friday night and as we were checking in, the front desk clerk asked if we were hungry. We were, and he arranged room service, including a nice bottle of red wine. The water in the pools are on the cool side as others have pointed out, but who wants to get into a warm pool when it is 30°C? There is no shortage of places to eat at this resort, 24 hours a day and the coffee in the Starcafes is excellent. The variety and quality of food on the buffets is well above average. Do not overlook the Taco restaurant and the Creperie in the shopping area! While you are there, treat yourself to some fresh candy from the candy bar. The beach at Paraiso is great - soft sand with little to no seaweed. There are a few large rocks visible in a couple of spots but doesn't take away from this great beach. Although we do not have young kids, we did notice that the staff at the kids Starcamp were awesome with their charges - taking them to lunch and supper at the buffet restaurants, leading us to believe that the kids were having so much fun, that they didn't want to leave the camp to be with their parents. We were in building 53 which is smack in the middle of the resort, about equidistant from the beach and lobby. There was some reserving of loungers going on but to be honest, there are so many, at both the beach and the pool, finding a spot was never difficult. What really makes this resort special, though is the people. All the employees, from the reception staff to the bartenders to the maids to the groundskeepers will all have a smile and a greeting for you.
