We love this resort this is why we have returned for our 3rd visit, always at the Beach section. We have also stayed at Iberostar Tucan but prefer this location. Booked a Premium Room and had requested upper floor, King bed, and Building 32 on the side towards the pool. We arrived later in the day after a long wait for the luggage to appear on the belt. Quickly on the bus then another long wait for 1 single guest to board the bus who never did show up. About 2 hours said and done at the Cancun Airport. Check - In Arrived with about 10 other guests at the same time. Short wait at desk to find out we were being placed in Del Mar Side, ground floor and facing the outside of property (1501). Told clerk that we really wanted to be on Beach side as we prefer that side and not on ground floor. No king beds available for there until next day so we checked into 1501 for the night then they moved our luggage to Beach side next day and were 2nd floor, facing pool with a pool view, King Bed in room 3425. We ate at all of the a la cartes between Beach and Del Mar once except for Italian as we were late getting home from excursion for out 1900 reservation. Also ate at Rock Cafe our 1st night and Taco Rest. one night. Buffet only 1 night during our 10 day stay. Breakfast mainly at the beach buffet on Beach side except for 1 day at main buffet. One thing I did notice is that for the most part it was difficult to get an omelet at the beach buffet most days as they had no fixings for them. Also the fellow always had a flat grill full of vegtables he was cooking and he had no room to cook anything else. If you asked for eggs he would direct you to the scrambelled eggs in buffet or you had to wait until his vegtables finished so he could cook you 2 eggs. The one day at Main Buffet there was also no omelet station offered. In past visits and at all other resorts we have stayed at omelets are always offered and the cook can easily handle like 5 orders at one time. Not the case this trip. Lunch was either at beach Buffet on Beach side or at the Snack Station near the bar. Always activities being offered around the resort and activity staff always around the place as usual. Played the daily horeshoes, boccee ball or crazy games at the beach. We spent all days at the beach infront of Beach Bar. Palapas mainly gone in front row by 7am but we always pulled up 2 loungers at the front property line infront of palapas at 7am and started to enjoy the day including the surise. Had a fairly windy stay with the wind off of the water except for our 1st full day and our last full day where the wind was minimal to no wind. For the most part the water was clear our entire stay with a small amount of a floating seaweed mass on maybe 2 days near the pier area for the 1st 10 feet entering the water. Daily theatre shows were enjoyed as usual but changed up from our last stay which is good. Do not recall and serice issues we had during our stay, a few days he had to wait for the Irish Cream to be delivered to the Beach Bar in the morning. Our last stay we watched the Cristmas decorations being placed all 10 days with the lighting happening on the night of the day we left the resort. Was hoping to get to see the lighting this year but it again happened on the night of the day we left (Dec3rd) so we missed it again. Would not hesitate to return again to this complex as we love it and the staff which many are familiar. Hats off to Ismail?? bartender at the Beach side swim up bar Las Olas. Always a smile and good conversation. On the Grand Side by the Beach Vendor massage hut there is a pile of the old Sargassum that they have collected during the season. It stands about 10-12 feet high, 150-200 feet long, and about 40 feet deep. There are workers that are at this pile daily slowly shoveling it back into the surf so it can be washed away. It is all decomposed and made mostly of sand at this point so it is not affecting the water clarity. The beaches are still raked and leveled thouroughly every morning starting before 7am and finishing by usually 9am. This new machine does a lovely job at doing this and only a minor inconvenience in the morning for the beach walkers.

We spent 5 nights at the Paraiso beach and our stay was amazing!!! Beautiful hotel and facilities with excellent food. The buffet for both breakfast and lunch is very diverse with delicious fresh fruits and products. The restaurants available at night are great too. We tried the following : the Brazilian which is perfect for meat lovers (you also have a nice buffet to accompany the different meats served at the table), the Gourmet (you need to book when you arrive but it's worth eating there!), the Italian (slow service but worth trying too! Good pasta and buffet. No need to book in advance), the American bar which looks like a bar but offers a nice menu and the Mediterranean one (great for fish and seafood) dorada! Note that if you dont like fish, it may not be for you. The facilities were great : big room, huge pools with both a quiet area and one dedicated to the sport activities organized by the best team ever!!! Many thanks to Manuel who made us feel special. And a special thanks to Miguel for his smile and positive attitude. We had so much fun! We took part in the aquagym, zumba and some special games at the pool. Thanks to the fitness director as well for making the zumba lesson at the beach accessible to beginners! The shows at night were amazing too. We saw the disco night, the rock night + a funny show organized by the event team led by Manuel. We had such a great time!!! Thank you to Felix at the front desk for welcoming us in a friendly and professional manner, and allocating a nice room before the official check in time! As you can understand, the staff really makes the difference. They are all really customer oriented and very friendly. We can only recommend the Paraiso beach and we would definitely stay there again!

Our family stayed for a week during Thanksgiving. We've been to several resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya. This beautiful resort is now at the top of our list, and here's why: 1. Our kids loved, loved, loved the Star Camp. The staff took them all over the resort to do so many different things. It also gave my wife and I some time to enjoy the resort as a couple. Special shout-out to Paco and David. It was hard for our boys to say goodbye to them and the rest of the staff when we had to leave. 2. Beautiful, lush property with lots of animals on the resort to enjoy. Kids especially liked that part. 3. Staff very friendly and helpful. Always someone coming around to check if you need a beverage. The entertainment team was always bringing the energy wherever they went. 4. Great beach; perfect sand, very little seaweed, clear ocean water with tropical fish to check out, able to wade out and enjoy the waves. There is also a vendor on the beach if you want to go out parasailing, snorkeling, diving, etc. 5. Large pools with plenty of room so it didn't feel too crowded 6. Plaza had shopping, disco, tequila bar, cool little coffee shop, playground for kids Food was above average. Nightly shows were decent (although the holiday show was exceptional). The gym was really nice with plenty of equipment. Rooms were of average quality (but who cares...we were pretty much only there when we were sleeping) Unless you're staying at the Cancun Hotel Zone, you're going to do a lot of walking at most of these resorts, but we actually liked the exercise. They do have golf carts constantly running around the property if you don't want to walk. I highly recommend this resort. We had a very relaxing time, and will be back soon.

I researched and researched on all the different resorts. I ended up picking this one. Plenty of bars and restaurants. What they don't tell you is that, upon dinner reservations, you are not allowed to try all of them. We stayed for 9 days and were only allowed to make 3 reservations during our stay.. The other three were buffet style, don't get me wrong; the food was good and all, just a little disappointed. There wasn't a lot of seafood options, like fresh, fresh seafood. We ended up going to the Star Rock cafe for most of our meals because that was off the menu and no reservation required, was very delicious, We just got tried of the buffets. And they are not open every day and only open for about 3 hours, So making reservations was difficult. What made our stay was our housekeeper Guadalupe- she attended the #35 building, She is so kind and professional. Even though my Spanish is not the best, she would still have a conversation with me and teach me new words/ phrases. She was the best part of our stay, honestly. She wasn't out to get our money or make us become a member. She was kind and genuine. I would return to Iberostar just for her. Also Jorge our concierge was spot on, he helped us when we had the wrong day for our excursion, called the agency for us to find the right day, was much easier because of the langue barrier. I found El Dorado Royle just up from Iberostar was better with the reservations as you didn't have a limit on dinner, they didn't hassle you as much to become a member. And the fresh seafood offered was amazing. Plenty of restaurants so you don't get bored of the same thing every day. Don't get me wrong Iberostar was very nice, just a little disappointed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Just disappointed in the food variety.

Dear guest, We would like to thank you for choosing our resort on your most recent vacation in México. We deeply appreciate your comments, and we are happy to read that the service of our staff fulfilled your expectations, as this is one of our main pillars and we strive to maintain the excellence we are well known for. On the other hand we truly regret that our gastronomic offer was not to your liking. The standard of our cuisine is very important to us at Iberostar. Our goal is to constantly surpass ourselves, continually introducing new ideas and concepts to our gastronomy. Also, our chefs have created a wide assortment of different options to please the most discerning of palates and in addition follow a regular menu rotation. On this occasion, we regret that we did not completely satisfy you, and we will pass on your comments to our team. Constructive critique is always welcomed to help us in our quest for perfection. Moreover, it is important to mention that we guarantee you a certain number of reservations depending on the nights you stay with us, however, you can ask our concierge department to check the availability of the restaurants to check if there is an open space, they will be glad to assist you. We hope to have a new opportunity to welcome you in the near future. Cordially, Quality Manager Iberostar Paraiso Beach
