This was our 10th visit, it has definitely went down hill. Always an issue with the safe, sometime they can fix & sometimes not. Refrigerators don’t work, only coffee pots on the ground floor units. Staying on the third floor is very noisy as they allow locals to the roof top. Showers spray all over the bathroom & floor is slick. Think twice, we’re looking for a new place.

Room Tip: Most places ONLY take cash. Stop in La Romania and go to a bank ATM you’ll need at least $400 USD.

This is a good place to stay in bayahibe. Reasonable price, good location and well known in the area for being a good and safe place. Ryan is friendly and knowledgeable and helped us a lot on our stay. The room we had was large and the bed was comfy with air con in the room. The shower was hot but needs some tlc. The 24 hour roof top pool is a nice touch, only problem is you can’t take your own drinks or food up during the restaurant open hours and the cocktails were not great. We didn’t eat here. I think they should have a bring your own booze for residents and it would have a better atmosphere and more customers for food. Breakfast was standard but ok, the chef seemed a bit highly strung and didn’t want me to take a glass to the room, I left the glass outside my room door for him to collect in the morning and he wouldn’t give me a glass the second day. Maybe provide a plastic cup or glasses in the room for people? I would definitely come and stay again.

Villa Iguana is perfectly located at bayahibe!! near to mini markets, bus station and the beach! The staff was really kind, the room was excellent, clean with all you need. Breakfast is simple but ok. It would be good to start accepting credit cards and update the doors to avoid the use of old keys. But in general is one of the best places and i would like to go again.

We spent a weekend here and the truth is that I have no complaints about the hotel, we had a very warm reception ... we felt like family, the room was very nice and comfortable, a comfortable bathroom and the necessary amenities to avoid shopping. of shampoo or soap. They are only few meters from the beach!!!!!!! The terrace bar and the pool are undoubtedly the best part of the hotel, in addition to everyone who works there, they do not differ between types of clients ... we were all special. I just think they should improve the quality of breakfast, although it was not bad at all, gluten or vegan allergies should be taken into account and alternatives for this type of guests should be created. Greetings and warm hugs for all the members of the wonderful staff. Highly recommended we will go back again!
