ALKQUIMIA HOTEL $45 ($̶8̶2̶) - Updated 2019 Prices & Reviews - Bayahibe, Dominican Republic

We had a two week vacation from 2/12/19 through 2/27/19. We arrived in the evening of 2/12/19 and checked in to a room that was not clean or provided with blankets or towels. We didn’t get a minute of sleep due to the noise, traffic and partying on the roof and on the street. We asked to be moved to a new room in the rear of the hotel the next morning. We were moved to a smaller room with a double bed. We had to ask for towels almost daily. We didn’t have running water for 24 hours on two separate occasions, No hot water on a third occasion. The staff provided large jugs of water to most rooms but not ours on the first occasion and a small 16 oz bottle of water the 2nd occasion. The staff are deceitful and gave us the run around when we asked questions, they have a hard time understanding when there is a problem!! I asked for a drying rack for our towels and clothes and never got one but saw other guests with them! They are not friendly or willing to accommodate their guests!! This place is awful!! Don’t waste your money!! You will regret it! They had a breakfast buffet daily which was awful too on the days they had no running water the eggs were green!! How do you serve food with no running water?? We were offered a free dinner for our troubles and we countered with a request for 2 days refunded, we didn’t get anything! I would never eat their food!! The only reason they are getting one box checked is because I have to to send my review!! Worst place I have ever sty!!…
