This hotel is simply outstanding, the staff some of the best we've come across, the food is exceptional, yes even in the buffet restaurant, the facilities are excellent and we cannot understand what motivates people to write poor reviews, particularly ones which could cause real damage to businesses, which are large employers locally, in these increasingly fraught and litigious times. Oh well. We arrived on quite late on the 23rd October 2022 and had a family suite with a private pool. On arrival, we were greeted by some of the warmest reception staff we have ever met and on being shown to our room, were delighted to see a hearty sandwich meal was laid out for us with a bottle of chilled Greek rose wine and as well as soft drinks. Things couldn't have been better and yet they improved even from there. Breakfast the next (and every) morning was hearty, tasty and full. The Full English was one of the best I'd had and I've travelled all over the world on business for 30 years. Days were then spent on the glorious and clean beach and using the water sports facilities where the staff were very helpful and experienced. We did a lot of water skiing, jet skiing and on one day took a private motor boat all round the islands in the bay, swimming in the clean sea and feasting on a lovely picnic provided by the hotel. When we were lazing on the beach the beach bar staff were warm and very efficient as and when we staggered off the comfortable sun loungers and headed there for very reasonably priced lunches and snacks. Nothing was too much trouble and special mention to the wonderful Stella for looking after us so well. Dinners in the evening were varied, themed and always delicious. My wife is not keen on meat and the fabulous non meat options were very well received. The locally produced rose wines were great value and slipped down far too easily in the evenings! Most evenings offered some great entertainment and Dmitri and Stella (again) were epically good hosts in the hotel bar and entertainment area. Local bands performed on a number of evenings, free of charge for guests and were all outstanding. To summarise, we would absolutely recommend Eagles Palace. It is a great hotel and an absolutely relaxing paradise to escape from the pressures of everyday life in the UK currently. Go there and immerse yourselves - you will love every minute as so many other reviewers have done.…
We are a family of 4 ((2 children aged 25 and 18 years) who have just returned from the wonderful Eagles Palace! From the moment we arrived and were picked up from the airport in the hotel shuttle bus until the we left 10 days later, we could not praise this hotel or its staff enough (especially Gorgia on reception)! My son somehow managed to disable his room key almost every day and Gorgia ever smiling always sorted it out for him! Theana at the Melathron restaurant is also amazing and a great credit to this hotel. Our rooms were spotlessly cleaned by happy, friendly cleaners and the whole experience at Eagles was amazing. The health spa, beach and pool are second to none and again the staff throughout the whole resort were first class and what makes this place so special! Thank you Eagles Palace for a much needed wonderful family holiday and we hope to be back again sooon!!! Regards The George Family…
This hotel is lovely - very smart and clean and with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent and with so much choice. The chef was brilliant with my allergies. Thank you for a fab holiday. The only negative was the prices of the drinks which was a shame as I think the bar areas would have had a few more people in them after dinner etc and the hotel would make more sales so don't really understand the approach with the drink prices but other than that couldn't fault it.
We recently returned from a lovely relaxing 10 day stay at this hotel. It has a pretty beach with a bell underneath the sun umbrella for bar service which was very convenient! As a few others have said the cost of snacks and drinks were expensive. Although we had a nice time there were a few negatives, one being the food in the main restaurant which most evenings was barely warm. We also felt the evening entertainment needed improvement. We travelled from the airport to the hotel by private transfer which took 1 hour and 50 minutes which felt a very long time as it was late evening. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and overall we enjoyed our stay and came home refreshed.
We had a great time at this five-star hotel! This historical resort is elegant without emphasis. You won't find yourself tripping over other guests. Ample room at the beach, the restaurants and elsewhere for a good reason. The facilities in the hotel are all of a very high standard and everywhere is exceptional clean. It has a beautiful private beach and amazing landscape. We had a sea view bungalow which was very well maintained, large, clean and private. The food was exceptional everywhere we tried it. We also loved the head chef who came out and spoke to the people. The staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Thank you Eagles for this amazing stay! We will definitely come back soon.
We spent 10 days at this resort off-season. It is over an hour's drive from Thessaloniki, nestled among several other similar-looking resorts near Ouranapoli which has a striking 13th century Byzantine tower as its main attraction. Eagle's Palace has its own private beach which was excellent; you could walk the coastline almost to the old village mentioned above, and the scenery is beautiful. There are also spa facilities containing gym, sauna and jacuzzi that we made use of as most of the excursions were unavailable due to the time of year - though we did manage to rent a boat down the coast and visit the islands nearby which is thoroughly recommended. Apart from the beach and spa the staff were almost uniformly excellent at the resort, and the buffet on offer was of a decent quality with local dishes as well as international menus available. Unfortunately the rooms themselves while being bright and nicely decorated suffered from exceedingly thin walls - the staff moved us once which was appreciated, but in both rooms we could hear EVERYTHING coming from next door, even normal conversation - it was like being in the room with the neighbours. Additionally, the beds were not comfortable at all; the mattresses were like sponge, and made a lot of noise. Due to these factors I would hesitate to give it top marks which is a shame.…
We had a very relaxing time. This hotel had us very well taken care off. We want to give a special mention to the Olive tour they organised. With a group of guests we did some light on site olive tree harvesting, followed by a delicious brunch made exclusively from hotel-grown produce prepared by the chef, pastry-chef and somelier (or olivier in this case). Next stop was the local olive tree factory where our own olives were squeezed into olive oil. We received our own bottle which will make us remember this trip for the next few weeks every time we use it at home. Best experience.
The resort is very nice with excellent view and amazing landscape. The suite was comfortable and with sea view. Delicious food at all restaurants. The service staff were all friendly and helpful. We really liked Athanasia at the reception desk and Chef Asterios. We will visit it again.
Favorite spot was in between eagles club and Melathron restaurant. Mr Giorgios and Theano were there to welcome us with a big and beautiful smile. Starting with a top Greek food night which including fried feta, pastistio, souvlaki and many more. Patronis at the bar was making the most delicious cocktails. The location is very beautiful and quite! Is definitely a place that worth a chance!
My wife and I have just returned from what was 7 days of pure relaxation . We flew with Jet 2 - which has to be said were great - and through the indulgent escape package , were picked up at the airport and taken via private transfer to Eagles Palace . This journey takes 1hr and 30 mins and it is probably the only slightly negative thing I can say about the trip . Albeit the last 30mins passed quite quickly with the glorious views . Once we arrived we were met by Dimitri who offered to show us as much of the hotel as we'd like until we decided we could explore it ourselves once we'd been taken to our room and unpacked . We had the most perfect view from our Junior Suite Sea View front apartment overlooking the pool and the Spectacular views of the Sea . For it only to get better when we later relocated to a Sea front Bungalow . The weather each day was fantastic and the beach (mostly sandy with some stones at the water's edge) ) with it's crystal clear waters and glorious sunset each evening made for a week of pure luxury really . The restaurants were great - you need to do the Dine around - and all had something that was memorable about the eating experience . The fine dining restaurant was slightly disappointing since the food which we like to eat hot was served cold . It went back and came back slightly warmer but not much. Fine dining experiences can be very hit and miss wherever you go and this was probably a miss , although the outdoor setting and those views does still make for a lovely evening . Our favourite meals was the experience in the Villas Lofus ( Greek for in the hills ) restaurant - you could eat here every night for the rest of your life , no problem . The Italian coming a close second . As mentioned in previous reviews there is no scrambling for sunbeds plenty on offer well into the middle of the day . Each have a call bell so you can get beach side drinks all day without having to move if you wish . However as mentioned in previous trip advisor reviews the Alcohol at the hotel is expensive ( almost Dubai prices) so you wouldn't be doing this too often after you signed your first bar bill . From the reception Girls to the Staff at the restaurants and the bellboys all were excellent . An extremely clean hotel full marks to the ladies that turn around the rooms each day . My wife and I would have no problem returning to this hotel in the near future .…
