A. photos are old, the pink color is gone, its all off white now - much better - very nice staff ! B. when i looked for a place in Punta Cana easter week, there was nothing less than $300- and as high as $900- for 2 person in a room per night in any of the all inclusives ........ now we are 5 so just calculate how much it would be per night ...... C. took a chance with this place and it worked !!!! for a $140- per night include breakfast , we got a nice clean little 2 BR apartment suitable for up to 6 person - one small color tv, small sitting area and one bath room ..... hotel has nice little pool, good breakfast, armed security at night, located 200-300 yards/meters from the beach .......
now we had so much extra money left to do so many other things with - water sports, send buggy - horse back riding, lunch and diners ................ do your own math if you travel with kids and cant afford 2 rooms or more ....... this is perfect for you.

I found out that the business has been sold and the new management will take over soon. With that said the rooms were very clean and BIG. The whole hotel complex was very nice and quiet. It is a 5 min walk to the beach area. There are shops along that way also. In the opposite direction within a 15 min walk is a mall. I wish I would have taken up the offer of a meal cooked by the owners wife. They came from Italy 13 years ago. They offered a free airport transfer and drove me to the bus station when leaving. It was a one night stay for me. I saw a open air truck that was used as taxis. Plus a lot of boys on motorbikes offering rides.

I have stayed here on about 6 or 7 occasions when in the Punta Cana area on business, and feel comfortable here.
The physical condition of the rooms has improved over the past few months, it's clear they're doing work on the place, and the buffett breakfast, including my always requested scrambled eggs and ham, is always delicious.
Basically, I can't really fault the place, considering the low price that they charge.

I was in Puerto Plata 3 years ago in an all-inclusive resort. All I did was eat, sleep, lay on the beach and only leave the "compound" on guided tours. Oh, and the all-inclusive places all have the same mass produced food. I hated it. When I went back to DR, I really wanted to SEE and EXPERIENCE the country. I saw the price and read good reviews on the place and stayed for 5 nights. I loved it! The breakfasts here are great. Fresh fruit, fresh baked bread, cakes, muffins, and the coffee is DIVINE!! The rooms are clean and simple. The air conditioning worked fine and we had no issues. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Alejandro, the manager, speaks excellent English and recommended to us a daytrip at a better price than you see online, and he arranged the whole thing. We had a blast. Security is always an issue when you travel, and the hotel has a guard at night and there is only one entrance in and out and its' guarded. The pool is clean and if you want, the beach is a 10 minute walk. I recommend the hotel, but rent a car while you are there so you can see MORE of the Dominican Republic.

I stayed here on business, my company travel agents booked this hotel, and i will be taking them to task regarding putting me in this place. I arrived approx 21:30 after a long flight from europe. Initially the reception staff (both young) stated they could not find the booking ref and proceeded to push the card machine into my direction! cheek. I called my company and within 5 minutes my company's travel agents were on the phone to the hotel to explain the payment had been made. My cynical mind feels they wanted to get payment twice! There was nowhere to eat , there is no restaurant and it is approx 10 minutes walk to nearest bar or eatery and at night i do not think it is advisable in the dominican republic. The wifi did not work. (very very annoying) I bought a beer in US dollars and given change in local currency, very confusing as how do you know they were giving the correct change? the rooms are bare and basic , no kettle , one fridge with only water in it, told water is complimentry!! well thanks for that at $120 a night i would bloody hope so! Finally i slept on the bed it appeard clean but woke in the morning to find approx 8 bites on my person, bed bugs. bavaro is full of hotels why stay here? its not that cheap and there are loads of annoying american teenagers on what they call spring break , annoying rich kids running about. ps i tried to stay somewhere else and could not get any availability at that time so i stayed here as i had no choice, it;s bad. plus, the breakfast was ok.

My friends and I stayed here on a golf trip to the Dominican in Oct 2011. We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were simple, yet clean. For the price, we thought it was good value. By not staying in an all inclusive, we ate out at a number of local establishments, and had a great time. There was a good french restaurant and a quaint pizza place nearby.
