I thought I would leave a review as I often look at reviews before booking. My partner and I booked this as our first holiday since the lockdown because we really needed a relaxing week away. The location was great and even the distance from the airport didn't bother us too much. Positives: - A very affordable week away - Great location with a 'private' beach - 2 pools, one loud with music and one quieter and tucked away - Free shuttle into nearby villages which we used to go for dinner a few times - Clean but dated rooms - Free all-inclusive drinks were good for the overall price - Most of the staff was very friendly and welcoming Negatives: - The pictures show modern refurbished rooms, ours was very dated and nothing like the pictures - The TV in our room flickered constantly and didn't work properly, which wasn't a huge issue as we were on holiday and didn't need it but it was advertised on their website - On the first day, the receptionist started checking us in but then went off to deal with other things without informing us so we waited for 20 minutes until she eventually came back (without an apology) - Food was often cold and 'school-dinner' standard with little to no variation - Lifeguard at the main pool was very grumpy Overall you could say you get what you pay for: We had a cheap relaxing all-inclusive holiday but would not come back to this hotel.…
We stayed in room 136 not one of the refurbished rooms as yet but was excellent. Only one negative is the hotel itself is quite far from anything apart from the beach, that being said they do have a bus that takes you from the hotel to Pefkohouri twice a day. Food was good standard always lots of it and very varied you would always find something to eat. Staff were all amazing and are a credit to the hotel. Spotlessly clean and the grounds and pool area are all well maintained. Good selection of all inclusive drinks, branded drinks available at a charge but not required. All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
Just finished a short stay at chrousso village hotel in chalkidiki. From the minute we arrive to the moment we left we were treated like the only people in hotel. The service was outstanding, with staff easily found everywhere, but never in your face. The calmness of the staff and the hotel really does rub off on guests, and it becomes s relaxing retreat as soon as you check in. We stayed on half board basis, and being able to choose our second meal of the day as either lunch or evening meal was perfect, it meant we could enjoy the towby night and enjoy lunch first. Breakfast was great, do much choices (too much in a good way of course)The dessert wow !!!!!!Nothing else to say the were absolutely delicious. We love the beach and both pools . I cannot wait to return. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!!…
We went end of September for just under a week with our 2 year old. Very child friendly, lovely grounds with little parks, a trampoline and lots of space. Our little one loved the kiddie pool which was a nice perk. Shout out to the entertainment team who played baby shark during an aqua aerobics class my little one was very excited by that!! Drinks were great. Staff Were very friendly. Room was beautiful and very modern - it was cleaned daily which was nice. We arrived past midnight on the first night and so the hotel had arranged for some sandwiches and fruit and drinks to be left in the fridge - this was a really thoughtful and nice touch - which we did not expect! Local beach was beautiful. Shuttle ride to local town was a lovely perk which we used once and it was nice to visit the shops ( very cheap) and have a meal out. We didn’t have any problems with noisy or rowdy guests as some reviews seem to suggest. The only negative was the food. We did not starve and there was always something we could eat but it was small and little options and not child friendly ( although my baby does love pasta and there was lots of that). The Salad bar was amazing and I really really enjoyed the cakes and icecream - I am still having dreams about the red velvet fresh cream cake they served one night !!! We had a late flight on our last day but the hotel staff allowed us to keep our All inclusive bands until 4pm when we left. This was really kind and appreciated that we could enjoy lunch before we left. We Really enjoyed our holiday and would defo return to the hotel and area. Thank you so much for making our holiday experience lovely and stressfree!!…
Firstly, we got a weeks stay all inclusive in an apartment at a bargain price, as in all things 'you get what you pay for'. There are a few negatives and positives that are outside the hotels control but maybe worth noting.: We booked a private transfer from SKG, which was excellent, it's a fast road most of the way but the journey still takes about 1 hour and twenty minutes. There aren't hardly any restaurants or bars within easy walking distance and all, except one at the beach, were closed for the season. So the hotel can feel quite remote. There is a small village about 20 minutes (uphill) walk away, there is a pavement but it's alongside the main road with little or no street lighting, we walked part of the way but turned back. The area is scenic enough but there's quite a few derelict or badly neglected buildings around that don't help the overall look. The local beach is lovely soft sand, a beautiful sea shallow for a good way out and a sandy bottom, backed by pine woods. Now for the hotel: Our apartment was actually better than we expected, one of the unmodernised ones, but a good size, very clean, a big balcony and always hot water on demand. The bathroom needs a bit of work, the toilet seat wouldn't stay up so needed to be held in place. The shower, like others we have seen in Greece, had a small shower tray and an inadequate curtain, so the floor would get a good soaking. The gardens are very nice well maintained and extensive. We didn't have any issues with staff all happy to chat and welcoming, except the life guard at the main pool who seems to think smiling is a sign of weakness. Two pools one very laid back that we preferred and another more boisterous one. Food and drink was a major let down for us, we rarely go AI in Greece as we think part of the charm is visiting local tavernas etc. The coffee was from a machine but OK. The beer was OK, but too fizzy for me. Cocktails and juices horrible. Spirit and mixers passable just. Surprisingly the white wine in the restaurant was drinkable. Of-course the poor quality of the drinks didn't stop the loud mouthed Brits having far too much and bringing out all the usual juvenile actions like being unable to have a conversation with each other without shouting and using expletives for every other word, this continued on several occasions into the early hours, despite there being quite a few pre-school age kids in the hotel. Food was just about the same every day, even the Greek night was a disappointment, poor quality works canteen or school dinners standard. Hot stuff always cold, though there was a microwave, I used it every time I had anything that was meant to be hot. The salads were ok, the sweets largely forgettable, usually the fresh fruit wasn't ripe enough. There's a shuttle bus, running twice a day, to the nearby town we used it on a couple of evenings nice for a meal, but we think the beach local to the hotel is better. Overall for what we paid we got a great break with lovely weather, a great beach and a clean hotel, just not to our taste, we may return to Halkidiki but not to this hotel. …
I was searching for a vacation with my family and found this beautiful place in chalkidki. We arrived very late at night, we didn't eat all day, So the hotel provide for me and my family dinner plates so we could eat something at that night. The next day we went in the morning for breakfast, beautiful restaurant very friendly waiters and good organised buffet with plenty of option to choose. After the breakfast we went to the bar to take some coffe and go the beach, we asked at the hotel reception which way we should go to the beach and they advised to follow a path throuh a forest, It was a nice walk we enjoyed every minute. When we arrvived at the beach we could see the clear sky and feel the soft sand and the warm and crystal clear water, it was just perfect for my family. After many hours at the beach the we decide to go for lunch at the hotel. The buffet had a lot of diffrent option from a long salad bar to diffrent kind of hot meals, meat and fish was there. We took little from everything to try and everything was tasting very good. We tried the local beer and wine at the restaurant. After the lunch we went to the room to take small nap, We lived in a Apartment around the main pool. The Room was nice fresh and cleaned the beds were comfortable. In the Evening we took the shuttle bus to the next town and went for shopping. When we returned we went to the bar and took some drinks for the room. Our First day at the hotel was beautiful and relaxing.…
The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The food at the buffet of the main restaurant was very delicious at all meal times with a wide variety of choices which can satisfy even the most selective appetites! The hotel staff had been very helpful during our whole stay, always eager to attend on our requests. The gardens are very well and carefully maintained. Not to mention the amazing, sandy beach with crystal clear water, which is just a few minute walk away from the hotel. I would definitely suggest this hotel, if you wish to have a relaxing holiday in a beautiful environment surrounded by pine trees.
Very noisy place with constant music early morning to late night. Drunk 30+ adults disturbing families with small children and other guests. Management rude and no help with problems, but staff pleasent and work hard especially in restaurant, food OK but same most days, small pool, not impressed for a 4 star rating. Would not recommend for families but good for lager louts who just want to get drunk on free drink and hoteliers get your money.
The hotel was very spacious and relaxing. It is very family friendly, it has three playgrounds and a few activities for kids. That frees up a lot of our time since the kids are busy and we can relax in the garden or at the poll.
Overall I would say that the hotel has lots of potential, but that we were a little disappointed with our stay. We had half board for a week. Hotel/Room: We were in one of the recently renovated rooms, which I would say was pretty nice - it was a decent size with a very large balcony. However, there were a couple of design issues - there wasn't anywhere to hang a towel in the bathroom, and the TV was positioned on a wall not facing the bed or sofa so you really couldn't see it. We didn't plan on watching much TV but does seem a little strange to me. The bed was also a little uncomfortable - we asked for flatter pillows which were provided. The cleaners didn't change any of the cups or mugs unless we asked at reception, and once we asked for fresh sheets (which at a 4* resort I don't think is that much to ask), there might have miscommunication but these definitely weren't changed. Our room was quite near the pool and bar area and one night we were kept awake by people being very loud and drunk. Not the hotels fault but just something to be aware of. We purchased some cheap foam earplugs for the rest of the trip and were undisturbed. Food: We ate dinner in the restaurant 4 or 5 times in the week, and each time the hot food varied very little. It was almost always pasta, some form of grilled meat and chips. The taste was average. The cold food was better - there were quite a lot of salad type foods, including dips like tzatziki and cheese to choose from which did taste nice and fresh. Breakfast was the worst - the food tasted poor quality (particularly the meat e.g bacon/sausages). We also found all hot food at breakfast and evening to be cold - although they do provide a microwave. Drinks very poor, the orange juice/lemonades etc are incredibly syrupy and sweet. The wine also comes from a tap and is drinkable but certainly not very nice. My boyfriend said the beer was decent. We ate in the pizza restaurant one night - it was pretty cheap but I would say the food was average. There is a mini market on site which is handy, however be aware its quite expensive and wasn't greatly stocked when we went (late September). Surrounding area: The hotel run a daily free shuttle bus (it leaves at 10.30 and returns at 2.30 & leaves at 7pm and returns at 10pm) to a local village, Pefkohori. This is a nice village with lots of restaurants & cafes sitting just by a beach (although we never sunbathed here). It also has a little old square which we ate at one night which was very nice. I would definitely recommend going to this village a couple of times. You can walk to the very local village, Paliouri, in around 25 minutes if you walk along a path on the road, or you can walk through a wooded area to get here in around 40 minutes (this is quite pretty in the day if its sunny as you can see the sea). The local village is small and there isn't much here, but there is a small area with a few restaurants (we ate once here and it was lovely) and a bakery, and a small unique pub with lots of boardgames (this was very cute one cloudy afternoon). Pool/beach: We didn't stay around the pool so I can't really comment - we spent a lot of time down by the local beach instead which is about a ten minute walk. We thought this was a lovely beach (we went late September and it was pretty quiet). The sea is lovely and clear and there are places to do watersports should you wish to. We mostly just used our towels and not sunbeds - but there are some free sunbeds to the far left of the beach, located by a little van which sells drinks/ice creams/toasties etc. There are also a couple of beach bars where you can spend a certain amount to stay on sunbeds, but naturally it was a little noisier with more people/music etc around this area so we avoided it. We ate at one of these for lunch once and thought the food was pretty poor. The one further along the beach was a bit nicer in terms of setting, we just had a couple of drinks here one evening and was lovely although not cheap! Overall comments: - We had quite a relaxing week overall - largely thanks to the nearby beach and being able to use the shuttlebus to go out for the day/for dinner - The hotel is quite strange, parts of it are very nice (e.g. our room, balcony, the small bar area near the pool) and other parts seemed very outdated (the area you eat dinner which feels very 1970's canteen). It seems they have renovated parts of it but not all. - Food at hotel disappointing overall…
