This hotel had a lovely team with regards to the children’s entertainment my 5 year old and 2 year old really liked the colouring and drawing in the kids room. Along with the evening entertainment. The hotel was in a very remote location so if going and hoping to wonder to other places this is very unlikely has on a main road with little paths and waking. You can catch a bus but very limited. The children’s pool was great for slides and shallow so you didn’t always need to panic or be in the water with them. Room was very basic we did have a leaking toilet, but was all working fine. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

we came here in August 2019 for a family holiday of 2 adults and 2 children, all inclusive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room - the room was modern and very clean! flat screen telly with a few English channels. the beds was very comfortable to sleep on. the only downside was when we had a bath or shower the water would come up out drain in the bathroom at times. for this reason I would give the room 4 out of 5 Food - there was alot of variety different every day. every thing was hot and the puddings was amazing. 5 out of 5 Bars for all inclusive the cocktails was very limited to only 3 cocktails to pick from although you can pay extra to have extras. free big bottles of water. 3 out of 5 swimming pool there is a decent size pool not to cold. perfect to have a mess about or to have a little swim. there is a little kids pool is ok for toddlers. 5 out of 5 beach - the beach was very clean, plenty of sunbeds. the beach is a bit small, you can use the paddle boat and canoe boat are free to you. I think main to have a little beach bar as you have to keep walking up to the pool bar. 4 out of 5 entertainment - one of the best Entertainment I've seen, the animation team are great and try and involve everyone in. the interaction is the best I've ever seen. different entertainment every night. I could not fault it one bit. 5 out of 5 in all very great holiday with great memories taken. 4 out of 5. Thank You Portes Hotel.

We stayed here at the middle of october. The room was big, clean and with perfect view. The Portes beach hotel has perfect location and own blue-flagged beach. Pool is nice but we spent all of our time in the sea. The food is with excellent quality and varies day to day. The staff is very kind and friendly. We are planning vacation here and the next year.

Let me just start off by saying I can only now write my review as we've been having a complaints case on the go since before we left Greece, yes it has been 5 months in the making. I visited here back in May with my extended family (Party of 11) and to say we had a great time would be a lie. Shockingly enough it started the moment we arrived and it was about to be a long 7 days. Before we left for Greece one of our party had requested a ground floor room due to having mobility issues upon arriving it was noted that her room had been given to someone else and couldn't be rectified until the next morning. The 'food' we arrived too was calamari & potato wedges, all stone cold. Enjoy! Letting that go after a full day of travelling and issues with our transfer we wen't to bed. One room had been requested to have air conditioning and again this was not the case. (Jet2 actually made them change their website to state when the A/C would be available due to us, while we sat there) It was apparently all on one system and not available until two months later, when they decided it was hot enough. (We sleep with A/C in the UK year round so this was an issue for us. The free canoes we not available for three days out of our seven day holiday due to them not having the required paperwork. Although we had been given many different lies before we found this out. The following morning we were leaving to go to the market. While we were there one fo our party (Who had stayed behind) called to say the room change for the ground floor room was ready and did they want staff to move their belongings, which was declined. We were about ready to head back so this wasn't an issue. When we arrived back someone had been into the room, packed up all her belongings without permission and moved the rooms. At the time we were told by the Jet2 rep that this was not allowed and he even told the manager at the front desk that this was forbidden, even if we'd said yes to them moving it. It was forbidden. In our party there was a 5 year old child who had a Kindle fire with her and it was broken. We know it was already broken but we pointed out to the rep that we could have easily blamed the staff for this and they would have had to reimburse for it. One of our ground floor rooms facing the kids pool would flood overnight to at least an inch of water. All the rooms are tile so as you can imagine this was a hazard. Luckily no one slipped in the night. Our room had been upgraded to a superior room however we had light sockets hanging off the walls and at one point had to call maintenance because none of the plugs in the sink or bathtub would come up to drain away the water. (They came to repair this while we were taking a nap) Luckily we had no children in our room. Please of you're traveling with kids make sure the kids menu is available when you're leaving, we had a 5 year ld who lived on Fries, ketchup and cucumber because the kids menu wasn't available until two months later. The TV was only in German, Greek and Russian. Certain staff members (including some managers) are just rude to you, are not interested in your issues and don't really have time for you. The only saving grace to this disaster holiday was the entertainment staff who were absolutely fantastic. Great with the kids and lovely to the adults. They aways made everyone feel welcomed. My take away from this is always check before you're leaving that they class this time as 'in season' otherwise you'll be in a hotel that has nothing around it except a motorway and nothing to do. Also if you're German or Russian then the staff will be amazing to you, give you anything you ask for and then TV can be translated to your language. (This was just something we noticed while staying here) Unfortunately due to continuous lies and pass the book attitude this holiday for us was a disaster. How you could possible have a beach front hotel at all inclusive rates with private facilities you cannot use is beyond me.
