We spent the Easter days at the Poseidon Palace Hotel. It is located at Leptokarya, a few kilometers away from the city of Katerini, about an hour's and a half drive from Thessaloniki. We were on a half board basis.
The first thing that a visitor notices are the beautiful grounds, trees and green grass, swimming pools (plural), and playgrounds, all kept in a perfect condition, next to a long beach.
All the rooms face the sea, are very specious, with a large bathroom, all kept meticulously clean, just as all the areas at the hotel.
The hotel was booked almost at capacity, 614 guests. One would expect that this would create problems, but this was definitely NOT the case. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful in quantity as well as quality. I would compare it with buffet meals on a cruise ship, only much better.
Smiles all around by the personnel, immediate solution to any request, the rooms were cleaned almost as soon as we left them, impressive coordination everywhere, things that are usually rare but very important to any visitor.
There are small villages in close vicinity, so if one wants to visit rural Greece he is only a few kilometers away from them. The castle of Platamon is very close too, and a visit there is highly recommended.
Price wise the hotel is not more expensive than other hotels nearby, but the whole "package" is much better in this hotel compared to others.
There is one small problem. The sea next to the hotel is not with golden sand that you may find elsewhere, one has to wear sea shoes in order to go swimming.
Do I recommend this hotel? Oh yes, definitely, especially to people travelling with children. You will find that it is a fair exchange of money paid to value offered.

The hotel is really wonderful. Its swimming pools, its rooms and all its spaces in general are fantastic. The food is equal to a good restaurant and the staff is very polite and professional. The air conditioner was not working in our room and it was very hot, 40 degrees Celsius. As soon as we informed them, they sent a technician to fix it, and when he said that it could not be repaired soon, they changed our room, after apologizing for the inconvenience. That was very professional and they deserve congratulations for their professionalism. The kids had a great time on the basketball, golf, and tennis courts. Of course the pools were the best. I totally recommend it for couples or families. I will visit again for sure.

The hotel it's self is not bad, food was good, employee are very nice. The beach is very disappointing. You need to pay also 6 e for 2 sunbed and umbrella. Water was not clear and if was full of stones you can go inside if you don't have proper shoes. Teh beach is not sandy and it dirty. The beach is not property of the hotel. We had not pleasent wheather and we were pushed to stay in the hole room. There was no entertainment for the kids indoor, so good luck if you have a small child. The water in a swimming pool is cold. Also if you are taking all inclusive or even ultra all inclusive, you will get a special list of beverages that you are included with and it's so funny, 4 cocktails, the coffee is also bad, and other drinks common one. Overall for us it was over paid expirance. The rooms are very common, usually not what you will get as a information from pictures, for example, all beds who are meant for couple are actually separated, so you will have a hole in the middle. Cleaning is every day, it was dissent.

My expectation from 4* hotel is different. All inclusive offer is poor, sortiment of food pretty limited with very limited choice of vegetables f.e. Huge difference for same drink between the one offered in all in service and the one excluded (even for basic drinks, same for coffee). Extremely poor and slow Wifi. Almost no chance to connent in the hotel and even download mails..

Wonderful stay in hotel Poseidon Palace! We had s excellent holiday in the hotel. All the staff are very kind, pleasant entertainment activities, very delicious food cooked with still. So impressive that we had breakfast soya and almond milk and chia seeds. On the beach, only have stons in the water and recommend to be more warmer the water in the swimming pools. Thanks for everything, we will like to come again. Best Regards

Wi-fi works very poorly and rarely gets a signal anywhere. The furniture in the rooms is old but clean.The sunbeds on the beach are charged even though we paid Ultra all inclusive!!!! A disaster. Beach bar is but at least it doesn't have a snack.

We adored it! Comfortable room for all 4 of us, cleaned every day, delicious and plentiful food at the buffet and all hotel employees were absolutely kind and helpful. Our girls loved the arcade, the ping-pong-table, the mini golf and the pool; myself had a great use of the massage chair. We went on excursions on the wider Pieria area; next time, we will just stay in the hotel and fully enjoy its surroundings!

Excellent accommodation for a 4 member family, 2+2 in an all inclusive programme. Really friendly staff, do really good job especially in hygiene . Very clean, with two great pools for children and adults. There is a exclusive beach in front of the hotel. The food is in very good quality with very good service.

The hotel is perfect. It's small children. The staff is very nice. I recommend 🙌! Great green plants, place to relax, clean pools. The food was unique. Huge variety! We were there last year and we really liked it, so we will repeat it this year for more nights!
