Hotel Kriopigi is celebrated for its reasonable prices, with guests enjoying the budget-friendly bar and value spa treatments. The atmosphere is described as lively, boasting evening entertainment, though some guests note the rooms could be modernized. While the location offers scenic views and handy shuttle service, it's not without its critics, particularly regarding beach access.
Rooms are generally clean with modern touches, yet experiences vary. The cleanliness throughout the hotel garners high praise, as does the warm and attentive service from the staff. However, some guests suggest improvements in beach amenities and the addition of an indoor bar.

Detailed Reviews
For 10 days, I had a really great time at Hotel Kriopigi.
The food variety is very impressive. It's a bit hard to decide what you want to eat, because everything is delicious and very well prepared.
The staff is the best! They are very kind, very friendly and very helpful no matter what and no matter when. They help even when asking for tips on what to do in the village and what places to see both during the day and at night. They also speak many languages: from English or Italian to Russian or Romanian.
The rooms, the halls, the garden, the playground and everything else is very clean and well-maintained, providing all you need for a perfect stay.
The pool is the best place to spend your afternoon at. The water is just perfect, pure as a lily, having the right temperature to cool you these really hot days. (Also, the best place to be at 2-3 a.m. The cool air, together with the darkness and the lights surrounding the place create a special atmosphere that makes you forget about everything else and just enjoy the moment).
I really got attached to this place and the people who work there and I will happily come back whenever I have the opportunity. This holiday was not just a holiday. It felt like home. It was like going from home to the other home.
Thank you for this amazing experience, Hotel Kriopigi! See you later! 😉

Wonderful Holiday at the Hotel Kriopigi
Myself and my Husband came here for the middle 2 weeks in July . We arrived late at night , check in was very good , carried out by a lady called Maria, who was very polite and pleasant , and we were issued our all inclusive armbands. The hotel porter took our bags to the room . We had booked a Classic room with a seaview , with a bath and shower. The room for a classic was very spacious, with a big double bed , and nice pillows we slept well every night . As we had arrived late there was some sandwiches' left in the fridge with some water . Our room was always spotlessly clean sheets changed on a regular basis and towels changed daily.
The food in both the restaurants was of a very good standard there was a good selection , the food was hot , and a nice selection of cold meets and salad. Breakfast was good , a hot selection or pastries' cakes , toast , fresh bread cereals and pancakes with chocolate sauce, also yoghurt, the only thing that let the food down was the lack of fresh fruit at breakfast, only serving tinned fruit at breakfast, there was fresh fruit at lunch and dinner , but unfortunately this didn't look very well presented , there were 2 restaurants there , we tended to go to the top one for breakfast and dinner as it was a bit quieter , and the other one for lunch. All the staff who worked in both restaurants worked really hard and were pleasant and polite.
There was a lovely pool to swim in and you could always get a sunbed . The pool bar staff were very good especially Yannis, I think at times it must of been very challenging for them as they were working in very hot conditions. The amination team i have to say were brilliant, who were Michael, Nick the lifeguard , and Georgia who helped with the children playing games in the pool . Michael was there every day keeping us all entertained with cards, Darts , mini basket ball , and various other activities, He also did aqua aerobics twice a day which was great fun, he even jumped in the pool with us sometimes because it was so hot!!. In the evenings Michael was also organizing pool parties, Quizzes and sang for us on his guitar, which was amazing. We also had a Greek night as well which was on Thursdays.
There was a nice beach near by which was a bit of a steep walk, to be honest with you get the shuttle bus, which ran a service from the hotel to the beach . The beach was stoney, but just take your water shoes, if you want a sandy beach then go to Agora beach which is beautiful , you can hire sunbeds for 20 euros there is a good restaurants there or you can order snacks from your sunbed, there is quite a long walk to this beach about half an hour, and a number of steps down to the beach but it is worth it taxis are only 7 euros if you prefer to do that.
The little village of Kriopigi is very nice lots of shops bars and restaurants for a night out we ate out in a Greek taverna called Nikos twice.
We loved our holiday in the Hotel Kriopigi, all the staff worked so hard , thank you so much for making it such a lovely holiday for us, we will hopefully return again.

Me and my partner have just got back from a week’s holiday at Kriopigi, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was gorgeous, with a beautiful sea view on our balcony. Very modern bedroom and bathroom, the only thing I would say is a kettle would be great to have in the room for a hot drink first thing in the morning.
The hotel in general is spotless, I also love the screen in your room which allows you to select if you want your room cleaned or not, a great feature!
We went all inclusive as there wasn’t much of a difference in price then being half board. We only made use of the all inclusive a hand full of times as we like to venture out most nights and try different restaurants. The food is okay, everything I tasted was perfectly fine but it’s just what I excepted with an all inclusive. The lunch is probably the best meal out of the 3, good variety.
The drinks around the pool bar taste watered down, especially the cocktails. Again, this didn’t really bother us as we didn’t spend a lot of time around the pool anyway. There are some lovely restaurants and bars nearby the hotel, however not much choice for us as a young couple.
The beach is just stunning, and a really nice walk (if you don’t mind walking up and down the hills). I also made friends with lots of the local cats in and around the hotel, which I absolutely loved feeding them everyday!
Overall I can’t fault this hotel, and had a brilliant stay thanks to great staff and a beautiful place.

Hotel Kriopigi has the most limited all inclusive package I have ever experienced.
The alcoholic drinks included are beer, wine, vodka, gin, white rum, whiskey and ouzo. Thats it, everything else is extra. Cocktails - extra. Port or sherry - extra. Dark rum, peach schnapps, triple sec, coffee liqueur (in fact, any liqueur) - extra.
I don't expect premium drinks but not even an imitation bailey's is included.
Food and drinks are only allowed in the restaurant and the SINGLE pool side bar. Not allowed in rooms or lobby or anywhere else inside.
In the sweltering hot evenings you can enjoy a rum and cola (lime extra) outside by the pool while being eaten alive by bugs (electric light + water = insects).
In poor weather you can sip your vodka and squash (real fruit juice extra) in the rain. If you manage to grab one of the few seats under cover you are unlikely to remain dry as the fabric seats have been lounged on all day by people in swimming gear.
When I brought this up with staff I was met with feigned ignorance or aggression.

Dear valued customer, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Guests feedback is very valuable to us, as it represents an opportunity to improve our services! Concerning your allegations about "limited All Inclusive menu", you have been informed about the All Inclusive benefits before making your reservation. Moreover, during the Check-in procedure, the reception has provided you a leaflet with the All Inclusive benefits. As far as the areas that a customer can consume drinks or meals are concerned, a customer can consume a drink or eat a meal either in the restaurant or in the pool bar. Kind regards, The Management Team of Hotel Kriopigi.

Rooms are dated and not how they look in pictures. It's like going back in time in Greek hotels. You have to hold the shower head to shower and tiny tiny bath tub and bathroom. Bed was uncomfortable and hard. Paid extra for a sea view but didn't realise i was paying to have dogs barking all night and to be woken by the dustbin lorry at 5.30 every day on my holiday.( I'm a deep sleeper, but it is LOUD). Hotel is overall very clean and some staff are very welcoming but others are quite rude. We were told we must not touch cups and serve ourselves for morning tea or water due to germs but you can serve yourself and touch the handles of food when serving yourself (made no sense). Wasn't happy to have to put up with smoking permitted everywhere. During breakfast, lunch or dinner you have smoke drifting over while you are eating. Do not cater for dairy or Gluten intolerences, which is a growing factor in hospitality that hotels need to cater for. Last but not least - if you have later flight, you have to vacate your room by 11am, don't expect to be able to shower, they provide no certacy room for guests to shower. I have travelled for many many years to many different places and I have never come across this. I was told the only shower is in the pool area ( so I would be quite welcome to go by the pool and shower amongst sunbathers) disaster. If you are going to charge £1300 for a weeks holiday for 2 people, you should provide a service to go with it. This is definitely NOT a hotel for disabled, It's hills and steps everywhere. It's in the middle of nowhere, you need to get a taxi everywhere. Agora beach is amazing on all aspects.

Me and my girlfriend went at the middle of July for 7nights. The weather was fantastic the first 2 days but then the thunderstorms were horrendous. Had them for 2 days and since we were on the first floor we got flooded. The room was right next to the pool bar so numerous of times I had to ring the reception and ask them to tell the people around the pool bar to keep the noise down as it was past 12pm and the bar had already closed but people still insisted on making a lot of noise.
The food wasn’t the best nothing to satisfy British people but cheese and salads. Nothing for breakfast so always had to eat out. But there is a fantastic place 5mins walk up the road Casablanca bar. Met a women who owned it Named Deb and she was amazing. So nice and kind also not to mention the food was 11/10. Drinks where just to match. Me and the Mrs love our cocktails and the hotel only had 5 too choose from being all inclusive which was quite poor so we always went out drinking else where. The pool was easily accessible and never full of people and they was always sun beds provided and available. Entertainment on a night time was also really good if it had Michale involved… he just made everyone’s night. Very funny guy. Staff went up and beyond for everyone waiters, bar staff, cleaners, chefs!! U name it!!

Me and my boyfriend arrived at the hotel late on Friday night and were provided with sandwiches in the room as we had missed dinner. We were given a newly renovated room and were very happy with the facilities within it and how clean it was.
During our stay we ventured out a couple of times to the local area for different reasons but we mostly spent our days and evenings utilising the hotel entertainment and pool. On our second evening, we decided to watch the football at the Casablanca Bar as they were showing the premier league games. The bar was about a 10/15 minute walk away and many of the people were from our hotel including two hotel staff members enjoying their afternoon away from work showing it was highly recommended by the locals and guests who had visited previously. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the bar and felt it was very cheap for our drinks around €3 each drink (beers and ciders). We also visited a gyros restaurant/take out called Griopigi about three times during the week as we felt the food was so cheap (€15 max for both of us to eat) and it was amazing. Griopigi was only a 5/10 minute walk from the hotel.
On one of the days we decided to do a 30 min walk from the hotel to the beach and found a quiet area of the beach. It was €20 for two sun beds and a drink each. Although this suited us and I would recommend for those that are able to go to this area of Kriopigi beach (you follow the path down from EOS luxury suites), it is a long walk and includes steep downhill and uphill areas. However, there is a free coach transfer from the hotel which takes you to a closer area of the beach if you are wanting a beach day but would not manage this long walk.
As well as the location of the hotel, me and my boyfriend were welcomed and thrilled with the hotel and entertainment team. They are incredible and make your stay rememberable in particular animator Kasia and Giannis from the kitchen team were very welcoming. Me and my boyfriend do not have children however all the entertainment during the day and evening demonstrated enough for all ages to participate in and thoroughly enjoy.
We feel that the hotel is amazing however there a few low points such as, the food variety and the pool area/sunbeds. Although these things did not spoil the holiday these would be our markdowns. There was always food we enjoyed each day however, a lot of it consisted of the same things e.g. chips, bolognaise and pizza. As a fussy eater myself it did mean that there was always something I could fall back on if I disliked the food that changed everyday but it did become a little repetitive. The other disadvantage is the quality of the pool area. As some of the pool area is grass rather than concrete when you have a sun bed on the grass it can be frustrating going into the pool and getting out to put your wet feet onto the grass therefore getting muddy. The sun beds felt very faulty and were very flimsy which could have been down to how old they were.
As I said despite the lows the whole holiday was exceptionally good and we would most definitely return and recommend to all couples, families etc.

Well what can I say about our recent stay at the Hotel Kriopigi…on reading the good reviews it seems like some people have stayed at a totally different hotel to the one we stayed at.
On arrival in the early hours of the morning we were shown to a dingy and dark old fashioned room on the first floor of the hotel with a big tree obstructing the view from the balcony... if you could call it a view which was the rear brick wall of the reception area. We immediately asked to move and were told by the hotel manager the next day that we could move to another room for 2 nights and then move again otherwise we would have to pay an extra €100 per night for an upgrade.
The pictures on the website are very misleading and not what we expected. The three different rooms we stayed in were very old fashioned with carpet and dark old fashioned furniture and in need of a revamp. The second room we were given had a tiny shower cubicle and the curtain stuck to your body as soon as you turned the shower on and soaked the whole bathroom floor. The towels are only changed every 3 days.
The food was ok with a
small buffet choice and it seemed like whatever was left over from that day was made into something else inedible the next day. There was a limited breakfast menu and no fresh juice and not much fresh fruit. How can you go wrong with breakfast?! There are no snacks apart from a few biscuits and cake at the pool bar between lunch and dinner.
The drinks consist of cheap wine and local spirits and the all inclusive drinks finish at 11pm.
The staff on reception and in the restaurant, apart from a couple, are miserable and quite rude. Although saying that the staff by the pool including, Yannis, Mikey and Nick are very nice and friendly. The rest of the staff could do with taking a few lessons from them!
Talking of the pool we found it quite strange that you aren’t allowed to go in it after 6pm but that is due to the fact that there is only one bar in the hotel and they get the area ready at that time for the evening drinks.
The hotel is on a busy main road but in quite a good location, with a few bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel run a free bus service to and from the beach which is a plus point as the walk to the beach is a nice 10 min walk downhill but a steep 20 min walk back up.

Good - only stayed for 4 nights. Very clean, nice food, great bar, entertainment and restaurant staff, nothing is too much trouble.
Cleaners left our patio door open (twice!) and reception were very unhelpful when we asked for a late room check out. You have to be out your room by 11, yet our coach wasn’t coming till 6pm. They only offered a 30 min slot (for 2 of us) to shower and change in a room on the 3rd floor which it took 6 mins to reach. 24 mins for two ladies to shower, change and get ready isn’t enough. Despite offering to pay they wouldn’t answer until it was time to check in, after speaking to the manager, he then offered 1pm, which of course was of no use when we had already packed up and handed in the key! It spoilt our last day, nevermind. Also, don’t walk to the beach, take the bus as it’s at least a 15 min walk in the heat, uphill coming back.

A hotel with tradition. The service is excellent, hygiene is at a high level, the food is varied with a complete offer throughout the restaurant's opening hours. An interesting evening program by animators: dance lessons, Greek evening, karaoke... Internet in the central building is acceptable. A spacious parking lot separates the main road from the reception. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the beach, which does not belong to the hotel, to which a minibus runs with departures at 10:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and returns 15 minutes later. A beach with a natural shade of a pine forest with a partly sandy entrance to the water, on part of the beach there is an Akation beach bar. Suggestion for the hotel management: introduce another departure and return from the beach at 19:00 and 15:00 in the season.
