This was our second time staying at the Achtis. What a gem of a place this is. The owners (Achilles, Magda and Nikki) were there to greet us on our arrival, which was lovely. They make you feel like family. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When we got to our allocated room, they had very kindly scattered rose petals on our dressing table, and had given us a bottle of fizz. On the actual day of our anniversary, we returned to our room to find a note from the Achtis team congratulating us, and a beautiful cake in the fridge. Such a lovely gesture. Throughout our stay here, we were waited on by the staff and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The staff really are amazing (especially Kristina who is just the best). This hotel is so luxurious and has a very relaxing atmosphere. It only has 35 rooms, which means you get to know most of the guests by the end of your stay. All the guests get on, and you can’t fail to make new friends each time you visit. Afitos is a beautiful village with several restaurants and bars. However, the best food we had by far was at the Achtis. Absolutely amazing food - the lamb kleftiko is out of this world. This really is our little paradise and we can’t wait to go back.…
This holiday was long awaited, having been booked in 2020. We travelled with family who have been several times before and had shared lots of photos that gave a glimpse of how beautiful the Achtis is. The experience of being there in real life however is so much better than any photograph can ever portray. We arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm, but this didn't make our arrival any less special. Kirstin was waiting to meet us with umbrellas. Our suitcases were taken away while we were led to the reception area where the best welcome awaited us. My Dad, step mum and their friends were welcomed as returning guests by the owner Magda, her daughter Androniki and the wonderful Kristina with genuine affection, while we were introduced and welcomed as new guests and greeted by name. The personal touch is one of the many things that staff at the Achtis do so well - it can't be easy to remember the names of every guest - but they do! Glasses of sparkling wine and beautiful desserts were prepared for us to enjoy while we waited for our rooms to be ready. The hotel is boutique style and as such each room is so individual. We stayed in 207A and it was beautiful! The cleaning staff work so hard and it was lovely having fresh bedding and towels every day! The grounds of the hotel are an oasis of calm. The pool area is beautiful with lots of lovely sunbeds and seating areas. In the gardens there are peaceful gazebos with sofas and rocking chairs where you can sit and also view the beautiful fishpond and Koi carp. A peacock and pea-hen (Kevin and Helen/Penelope) wander freely around the hotel and gardens. There is a small hut in a secluded part of the gardens where the beauty therapist provides massages and beauty treatments - so relaxing. The staff are amazing. Kristina is a legend - funny, hospitable- nothing is too much trouble and she makes the best cocktails ever! Julie and Stella are equally lovely and made us feel really special. The food is absolutely delicious! The choice at breakfast is huge. I like to try new things and as such was spoilt for choice. Fresh and dried fruits, Greek yoghurt, cakes and pastries, cereal, breads, meat, cheeses (I loved the walnut cheese), delicious tomatoes, stuffed vine leaves, caviar, lots of cooked options including yummy spinach pie and other warm Greek dishes, plus bacon, eggs etc, for those who are less adventurous. The lunch and evening menu was delicious, with a special every day. Also, if there is something you would like to try that is not on the menu, then Kristina will happily arrange this for you. The wine and cocktails were yummy! I loved the Achtis Summer cocktail and the apple Martini. Afitos is a beautiful little town with lots of charm and a fantastic atmosphere in the evening. Saying goodbye to everyone on the last day was genuinely quite emotional. This was the best holiday I have had and I hope I can return to this beautiful hotel! Thank you to Team Achtis! …
This hotel is an amazing place, the grounds are so beautiful which make our times here so peaceful and calming. The staff also make it special as they always go the extra mile for all. Kristina makes the best cocktails in the village, Julie Stella and Kerstin are also fantastic hosts. This is our second time staying here and will not be our last. Thank you to all the team 😊 Carla & Neil
Another wonderful relaxing stay at this gem of a hotel. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the staff helpful and welcoming, the food and drinks superb. If I could only go on one holiday I would choose to come here. An oasis of calm and relaxation. Thank you all again!
We stayed here with our two children and had a great time. Hotel is really special with lovely staff to make you feel welcome and take care of you. There were comfy beds, good showers and food and plenty of options to sit around the beautifully kept pool. Kevin and Penelope the peacocks, Simba the dog and the beautiful pond complete with ducks and fish were the icing on the cake. Afytos is a nice little down to have a wander round and get some food.
This lovely Boutique hotel is out of this world! Kerstin, Kristina, Julie & Stella and the team are so friendly, this hotel is warm and welcoming, with lots of little fabulous touches! The rooms are gorgeous, the food is outstanding, with home grown vegetables, baking and fantastic dessert treats, not to mention their homemade lemonade! The Spa is first class, with beautiful treatments to help you relax even more! With only 35 rooms, and plenty of sunbeds and a beautiful garden, 2 peacocks 🦚, ducks , fish and a dog named Simba it feels very relaxing and it’s like you are in your own little holiday haven! If you don’t want to leave this place you don’t have to it has everything you need and more! The quaint little town is at the bottom of the hill, there are gorgeous sights, shops, bars & restaurants to explore and enjoy! If you enjoy tranquility and being treated with a personal touch then this is the place for you! Can’t wait to come back next year!!!! Thank you to all the Achtis Team 😘…
We stayed here August 20th for a week to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday .The hotel is stunning the staff are fantastic they make your stay special they know your names they go out of their way to make your stay special .The staff set a birthday table and brought out a cake singing happy birthday it was so nice of them .The hotel is only a five min walk down to the village of afitos where there are tavernas and little gift shops .The sea front looking down over the beach is lined with amazing places to eat especially fresh fish .We hope to return next year we noticed everybody in our hotel where returning customers .
Too bad it's not even the sixth star! Thank you for existing! An extraordinary hotel! Small, flirty and surprisingly quiet. Congratulations for the way you interact with tourists, for the atmosphere created there, but especially for the wonderful group you have at the restaurant. Gabriela and her colleagues (Kristina, Stela and Julie) are "guilty" of some extra kg that I left there with as a memory! We will definitely come back!
This hotel is my favorite vacation place in Greece. Impeccable service, accommodation and location. The personnel on all levels is professional and friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone. Lunch and dinner menu provides many options to explore traditional Greek food which is delicious.
The moment we set foot into the hotel grounds with the palm trees, peackocks, river feature and ducks, we knew we had found our perfect idyll. The welcome is spectacular with sparkling wine and desserts on arrival. We were made to feel special every day. The hotel is small and that's perfect. The pool is lovely and surrounded by an array of bali beds, pergolas, sofas and sun loungers all tucked away in the garden and around the pool. The room we had was a family suite and was immaculate. Linen and towels are refreshed daily and every aspect of the hotel is spotless. Special mention to Kristina and Stella for their 5 star service. We will be back!
