We chose a vacation at Wave resorts on the Black Sea coast from the catalog. Upon arrival at the resort, we were surprised. We were impressed at first glance by its architecture, size, spaciousness, cleanliness. The second time we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to the room. The room was large, spacious, clean with a side view of the sea and a terrace. After a short rest, we went for a walk around the resort. We saw lots of pools, buffets, water slides, a spacious beach and more. We then made our way to the individual buffets which had a variety of food from around the world as well as a variety of soft drinks and drinks. There were plenty of sunbeds by the pools and on the beach, it wasn't a problem to find. Dinner time slowly approached and we slowly went to get to know the dining room. The food was of a very good standard, a large selection and always something to please both demanding adults and children. The food by the pool during the day was delicious, freshly cooked and a great selection. There was a lot of fruit, ice cream, various sweets on offer. The only suggestion I can make to the management is that the bars serve drinks in thin disposable paper cups. I realize this is for safety and environmental reasons, but it would be a much better idea to have quality, reusable plastic cups. This would further add to the hotel's environmental policies as they would not have to dispose of a ton of disposable paper cups. Now on to the staff and the fun. All the people at the hotel are wonderful, always with a smile on their faces and ready to help and advise. There were loads of staff clearing tables and constantly sweeping the floor and refilling food and drinks when they ran out. The rooms were also cleaned every day and the in-room bar was replenished with drinks. The program on the terrace was very good, where every evening there was live music and a different artist performed, but the violinist's performance was absolutely great. Other entertainment takes place in the amphitheater. The children's disco started at 19.45, followed by the family show (different acts every day), the presentation of certificates and at 22.30 the adults' disco. The animation team - animationworld was absolutely perfect. The animators worked very hard all day on various games and competitions in and out of the pool. The animators promoted the individual competitions and games appropriately and casually so that as many people as possible could participate in the competitions. The animation and the animation team are unique, I'm quite competitive and have participated in almost every game. Animators from Slovakia also actively worked in the animation team, who were always willing to give advice and help, and inquired whether everything was alright. Our thanks go to the entire animation team for making our vacation enjoyable. Our thanks also go to the other employees, the Wave team, who made our vacation enjoyable. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family holiday and rate it as excellent and we will be back.

Day 5 of our holiday and I can’t fault the resort. In fact I’m delighted we have another week to go. Rooms are excellent, cleaned expertly every day, the food has been varied and there is always something you can find to eat, even for the kids.
The entertainment staff work tirelessly and you can genuinely tell that they are trying to ensure that the whole family has a great holiday.
The drinks in the all inclusive are good with Gordon’s gin available and a few other familiar brands, the beer is Becks which is always chilled to perfection and tastes great.
The staff in general are all exceptionally friendly and welcoming, as with the entertainment team they work hard to ensure that the grounds are well maintained, always clean and you never wait anymore than a minute or two at any of the bars to be served.
We went to the Asian restaurant last night and although you pay extra for this I would highly recommend it, food was of a very high standard and plentiful and the restaurant itself is stunning.
Our room is room number 4205 and the view is stunning, right out over the fountains and with a view out to sea, if you can get a room in this area then go for it.
The resort sits on its own as other travellers have pointed out however this is a bonus in my book and you don’t feel isolated.
Overall the Wave resort is excellent and we would definitely come back

An amazing experience recently spent at this fantastic hotel with a very relaxed ambient in a great facility with great food and friendly people. We booked during our stay a LAGOON SWIM-UP ROOM, which was very clean and funny to wake up in the morning by jumping directly in to the water. Great sports facilities as well as SPA and Wellness. The most impressive were the organization of the staff in this hotel, which were perfect as well as the excellent assistance when needed. Good time in the Mediterranean A La Carte Restaurant. We had the feeling that this were a brand new hotel as everything were very new and less used. Hope that this will remain as it is for a long time. We regret only that the pool’s water were so cold but as temperature were so high during our stay, it helped us to refresh. We recommend to book during July and August, as it would be the best period for a great holiday. Hotel also to recommend if you travel with children as the Kids Club with all their activities is well organized. We were at this hotel in July as an extended family of ten, six adults, three children 7, 5, 3 and an infant and the hotel and staff were excellent. The architecture, rooms, food, entertainment for the kids and facilities were super. The hotel is spotlessly clean. we have been fortunate to have travel quite a bit and this hotel 'hit the spot' for a family holiday.
The only suggestion I can make to the management is that the pool bar, beach bar and 'cocktail' bar unfortunately serve drinks in flimsy, single use, white paper cups! With the best will in the world you cannot enjoy a drink, especially a spirit or cocktail in a thin white paper cup. I realise this is for safety and environment purposes but a much better idea would be to have good quality, reusable plastic glasses. This would improve the experience and also add even more to the hotel environmental policies as they would not have a mountain of single use paper cups to dispose of.
Please pass on our thanks to ALL of the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
I can only think that previous reviews from earlier in the year were scrioted after a holiday where the weather was not kind.

Myself & my wife decided to try Bulgaria after mixed revues we chose this new hotel in September and upgraded to a junior corner suite which was massive & very well fitted out with impressive wifi as well. Overall the hotel is very high spec with excellent staff & the food & drinks all inc is very good with lovely restaurant & the best pizza i have ever had. There is a great spa area & lots of outside pools (although very cold so we didn't go in any) There is a great splash are for the kids & a private beach are with all inc drinks on the beach as well . Beware there are lots of older German folks on staying at this hotel which wasn't a real problem for us to be honest . We didn't take in much of the entertainment either BUT the downer for us was the weather was crap & cold which put a real dampner on the trip and in the end we was counting off the days to get home (google weather reports didn't raise our spirits with a weeks rain ahead!) The surrounding areas are very grim & a taxi is needed to get to Pomerie which is ok but nothing special, I wouldn't return to Bulgaria to be honest so going to stick to hot countries from now on.

A few days ago my family and I returned from the Wave Resort. We were absolutely satisfied in every way. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and cosy rooms with amazing sea views, they were meticulously cleaned at all times. The food met the standards of a five star hotel, including the poolside street food choices which were really tasty. Poolside activities for little ones and older children fantastic, plus the sea with its gradual entry is just a few steps away. What I would like to mention was the work of the entire animation team throughout the day, whether in the Kids Club (Emanuela) or the evening show for the kids (Martin, Misho), our daughter KarolĂna drew them a picture as a thank you :) I would also like to thank the reception manager (Dimitar), for his personal helpfulness during our late check out, he is a person in his place. Finally, perhaps a couple of recommendations - I don't know if it's the intention to lose track of time during the holiday :) but at least for the pools, information on time, air and water temperature would be useful. Also towel change could be placed by the pools or on the beach, surely more guests would appreciate it. As the reviewer below we have also just returned back from Wave resort and thought the resort itself was great, room was very good, we had a top floor corner room - 6301 it was very large (but not sure if the corner rooms are larger than normal, it looked it from the spacing in the corridors) and it was spotlessly clean, yes the shower / toilet have small holes in the glass doors as handles which has been mentioned before but they are not in the main bedroom area so are not really a problem.
We found food very good for an all inclusive buffet, and most items were quite warm enough - the choice was quite large and quality good.
Pool areas were very good, we spend all (apart from last day) at the Adults only pools in the Cabanas and thought they were great, the pools were a bit cool but nothing like as bad as Egypt where we were in March. on the last day we went to the heated Olympic pool which was more protected from the wind.
The storm did cause a lot of upheaval at the time with tables / chairs flying around all over the place but only really lasted 30 mins and the hotel coped with it very well, even keeping the entertainment going in the reception area rather than just cancelling, on our last day they moved it to one of the conference rooms which had been in use until then. They brought in teams of people to replant trees and clean the whole area, full marks there.
We hired a car from reception and went out down to Sozapol on the Monday and the storm had caused a lot of problems all down the coast, trees down all over so it was even more impressive that the resort had (most) things up and running the next day.
The only down side is that there is very little to do outside the resort but if you just want a pool / beach holiday then it is great.

Having just returned from a week here I would highly recommend this hotel and am already looking to rebook next year!
What isn’t to love?
The hotel in itself was beautiful. There was a clear focus on ensuring the hotel was clean, with staff cleaning all day, around the pool, inside the hotel, rooms etc. bins were changed regularly, any mess or spillages were immediately attended to and the whole hotel was absolutely spotless.
As a family of 5 it was an absolute joy to stroll down to the pool around 11am each day and not have to fight for sun beds. We were able to get beds together every day with no problem as there are so many available around the pool. No reserving and leaving beds until after 8:30 and then staff manning the beds throughout the day so if left unattended for an extended period towels are removed.
Every member of staff we came across whilst here was polite and courteous. They couldn’t do enough for you.
But a special hats off to Iva, Bobby and the rest of the animation team. They work exceptionally hard all day and night to keep children and adults alike entertained. They made the effort to learn and remember the children’s names and considering how many children must pass through their doors this is no easy feat! They absolutely made the holiday for my children, who were desperate to go to kids club every evening and sometimes through the day because the staff were so fantastic. My children didn’t want to leave them to come home because they had such a great time, interacting with all around the pool but never pressuring people to join in with things they didn’t want to like I have seen with other entertainment teams elsewhere. A HUGE THANK YOU to all the team for making our holiday fabulous! I hope you are all still there when we return!
Whilst there we enjoyed the range of food and drink on offer. Managing to find something to eat every night even with two picky children. The food in the main buffet was delicious, always being freshly cooked. The food around the pools was fabulous too, with fresh cooked food being served throughout the day which always smelt and tasted delicious. I wasn’t disappointed with anything I ate whilst here. We also found the selection of drinks to be great too with a variety of cocktails, spirits and soft drinks severs everywhere all day long.
We took a gamble on Wave and on Bulgaria this year having never been before and we really are glad that we did. It’s been an absolutely amazing holiday and we can not wait to return!

There is loads to choose from , adult quite pools more lively pools kids pools and heated pools we managed to get Sunbeds everyday and still loads about there is also adult slides and a amazing kids area with slides and a large emptying bucket along with a indoor play and outdoor park .
Room
Our room was one of the best we have stayed in lovely sea view , very spacious loads of storage walk in style wardrobe , double sink vanity area , hairdryer .. beds are soooo comfy.. large tv mini bar filled daily with drinks and mini kitkats ! Plenty of plug sockets .
Food
We only ate from the main restaurant but can say the food was always delicious such a massive selection ti choose from all cooked fresh in front of you ! Cocktails ! What can I say we made are way three a load of diffrent ones and they was all great ! Kids slushes available along with all day icecream and ice lollies .. they have a t kids buffet as well along with a Willy style and scooped icecream
Also free wifi everywhere and free safe
Staff and entertainment
The grounds and hotel are all absolutely spotless there is always cleaning staff everywhere making sure everything is perfect and everyone we have encountered have greeted us with a smile and hello .. the day time entertainment crew work hard at creating a fun environment for the kids and the shows are pretty good to !
Overall we have loved are time here at the wave resort and will be back again and will be recommending to family and friends !

I booked this vacation for my parents and son after a long debate about the destination and we are glad that we made the best decision. So, practically I am writing this review on their behalf, after their return from this lovely holiday. First thing, the surface of the resort is very big and allows everybody to enjoy and not feel crowded, even in high season and at the restaurant area. I think is a big plus during this period. The beach area is not too large, but there is enough space for the hotel's tourists, maybe not that friendly for small kids (check the sea entrance before). My son spent a lot of time in the sea which he mentioned to be clear and clean as well as the beach. A Lagoon room type was booked, large and with direct access to a small pool. They appreciated the sheets as comfy and the large bathroom with an extra door for the toilet allowing another person to use the sink/shower. The cleaness was very good, made each day in the room, the same for the entire resort. The beach bars were well stocked ith food and beverages. The cocktails were light, but ok for a hot summer day. As for the restaurant, a good variety of food each day (fish, lamb, rabbit besides the usual chicken and pork), satisfying every request. My mom noticed a vegan stand (she said the chia pudding was great ) and some baby food in a corner. My son is a fruit lover and he said that he really enjoyed and tried this part. They had the chance to serve dinner to the Mediteranean a la carte restaurant (as they booked a minimum 7 nights say) and really liked the experience. My son said he ate the best tuna salad ever :). The waiters were really attentive also. I should mention they didn't had the opportunity to try the spa, although I truly recommmended it, so no review from our side on this part. Aaah, the aqua park! Nice rides on the slides, my son even participated to a water competition in the pool area. The only improvement that they would recommend would be to the evening animation team, for a more diverse program. One above the other, their time at Wave Resort was wonderful and we highly take into consideration to return next year, in a bigger formula (extended family and friends)!
