Festa Via Pontica Resort is located in the ancient town of Pomorie. Up until now the town has been developing as an important producer of salt, wine and other agricultural products. The quiet area, proximity to the beach /100 m./ and the excellent conditions for an unforgettable seaside vacation are just a small part of making this hotel in Pomorie, the ideal place for summer vacation and relaxation. The hotel was built in 2010 and it was completely modernised in 2018. Among the culinary options available at the accommodation are a buffet restaurant, A-la-carte BBQ and 5 bars.A refreshing dip in the indoor salt water pool or outdoor pool is an enjoyable way to cool down on hot days. All of our guests could use a beach package for free. The resort offers guests a variety of leisure facilities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, darts, archery, gymnastics and aerobics. Travellers of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy an interesting entertainment programme.

I consider my stay in this hotel to be very successful. The hotel is very well-kept, clean and fresh. The food is great. On site, we have everything you need for a peaceful rest. However, the kind and helpful staff deserve special recognition. The best of the best is Dia Rababa Front office manget, always smiling and very helpful, a real professional at what he does. I recommend this hotel to everyone and with any problem I ask you to Dia Rababa, and the holiday will be very successful.

HOTEL Very clean and well looked after hotel in a nice location right next to a beautiful beach, with shops etc. 5 mins down the road. Nice rooms, with a great air con/fan feature (gets very hot so much needed) and lovely views of the beach from balconies. It's literally a few mins walk to the beach and the ocean waves can be heard at night (very peaceful and something I enjoy). Great outdoor pools with kids section and a bigger/deeper sections and upbeat music played from the bar. Nice indoor spa centre with another pool great for getting a few laps in and a gym with a bench, freeweights and an upright multigym if you like to keep in shape and burn off the meals. There's also a pool table, outdoor football court, kid's park, winery, amphitheatre, beautiful gardens for walking around and an old school arcade game room. STAFF Reception desk is very helpful and were very understanding when I accidentally dropped and broke a glass while checking out the gym area within the first hour of arriving. They could have judged me as a typical drunken nuisance but were absolutely fine and even refused my offer to sort the mess out myself, insisting I get back to enjoying my holiday while they took care of it. Bar staff were very polite, friendly and well mannered and their local beer on tap and choice of cocktails, wines and spirits are decent. The "BBQ restaurant" guy was also very happy, fun loving and sociable, happily interacting with guests, making kids laugh etc. FOOD Food is very nice with plenty of choice and is pretty much always available (meats, pastas, potatoes, salads, soups, deli, dessert etc.) Breakfast is 7.30-10.00, lunch 12.30-14.00 and dinner 18.30-21.00 with two snack times (11.00-12.00 and 15.30-16.30) plus a BBQ restaurant next to the outdoor pool that cooks up pizzas, burgers etc. in the afternoon too incase you miss meal times (or just want it all) ENTERTAINMENT The holiday was quiet with not many guests or entertainment... we were ok with this as my 70 year old inlaws were with us and enjoyed the peace and relaxation and our kids are at the "heads in their phones 24/7" phase anyway. There was also a bus stop just around the corner that can get you to the more lively Sunny Beach for just 4 lev (about £2) if we really needed to see/do more. We also learned from speaking to staff that we'd simply arrived a bit too early as their holiday season starts in June, which turned out to be true as literally from the first Friday morning of June, 100s of fresh guests started arriving from morning to night everyday until we were leaving for the airport and new posters began being put up with entertainment schedules for the coming week. So I'm sure the entertainment quickly picked up and it was just our poor timing really, unfortunate but hotel cannot be blamed. NEGATIVES Other than the lack of entertainment, very few negatives at all ... literally just that the "billiards" pool table needs updating (corners of the table come loose and only one cue had a tip, no chalk) and the monitors on the exercise bikes in the gym were broken... but that was it, everything else was great! SUMMARY Lovely hotel with great staff and facilities. For a relaxing break, come before June. For a more lively family holiday, come after the first week of June when their season starts. Go all inclusive, well worth it as food and drink are pretty much never ending. Chris P

I came to Festa Via Pontica with my mum back in September 2018, and I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Before we went I was a bit 50/50 on what to expect based on reviews I had seen online prior to coming out, but we had no complaints to make. The staff were so welcoming when we checked in late on the evening, on the way to our room they said there was food available to have if we wanted something to eat as they knew we had been travelling at tea time so they wanted us to have the option of being able to eat something if we didn’t get chance to anywhere else which in itself was a positive because it shows their care for the guests. Throughout our stay whenever we saw staff walking around the hotel they were always smiling and greeting us, and whenever we had queries we were always helped with them. The hotel itself was beautiful, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked into it for the first time I actually felt like I had walked into a palace - this was in the reception area. When we were taken to our hotel room, the room was SO clean and fresh, and every single day our room was always being cleaned including our beds being made for us too. For me personally, the food was nice - though I do wish there was different choices each night instead of the same things every night. Was always cooked nice enough and there was quite a few things - the pancakes at breakfast for example - being made completely fresh right in front of you. I never found an issue with hygiene or the levels of cooking, it was always just right for us. The only thing I will make a criticism comment on is I don’t feel as though there are enough snacks for throughout the day inbetween main meals and I feel that could be something to be improved? Can’t forget the Bulgarian themed meal aswell which was beautiful also. At this hotel there are two separate pools and I found one was being used as the main pool and another was being used as a more relaxing pool. The main pool was brilliant in regards to keeping children and families entertained throughout the day and if you wanted to just relax and have peace and quiet I found the quieter pool was perfect for that too. Not to mention there are two different shops either side of the hotel. One is more like a corner shop and the other one is a little like a small supermarket so you’ve got your choices, and the beach is literally a 30 second walk down the road which is perfect aswell. All in all I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I did have it booked to come back for 2020 but COVID obviously stopped that from happening but I will definitely be back at some point within the next year from now. If you’re looking for a holiday where you want to just relax by a pool and you want some entertainment for the children, this is definitely the right place. I’ve included a few photos, some of my views from the quieter pool, a view at the main pool, my Bulgarian themed meal, and my view from my hotel room.

We had a lovely family vacation! The staff was so kind and attentive, always ready to help. The food was delicious and the rooms were spacious, and clean. The spa zone had a lot of different options for relaxation and my kids loved the pool.

The Hotel is beautiful, rooms are excellent but the people who working in hotel are not respectful, don’t even talk to you, talking between each other about you in Bulgarian language, if you ask something they are not react they are not answering and sometimes they just walk away, this what you get if pay money for hotel Festa via Pontica, I Exactly talking about two old people (bartenders)who working on the lobby bar, every 5 minutes they put the sigh break 15 minutes, common people!! This is crazy how the personal are disappointing, all the time if you ask for something they always answer in Bulgarian and looks like they don’t like anything, more disappointing then personal is food, horrible!! Every day is the same food 😂 a mean like only a fries and some untasted meet, so recommendations for everyone who wants to spend money for this hotel , please don’t do it you will be very angry and disappointed.

The hotel îs nice, not crowdy, is recomanded more for family with children, not for young. The plus îs for food, very good and different , for the Coffee machine în the restaurant, the sweets, for The sunbeds always available, for the distance between The hotel to The private beach(200 m),for The large rooms with 2 bathrooms(superior rooms). A minus for The cleaning from every where. The beds was not replace în 7 days, even if i required, and every where was dust and uncleaned table, not dezinfectad. Few personal, and not very kind, no smile, no amability, and very Few knowledge of english.

The only good thing is the location, the sea is very close. The staff at the reception are incompetent. It took 20 minutes to check in at the hotel, they are dealing with several clients in the same time. The rooms need renovation. The carpet is stained. The door to our room opened only 45 degrees. The mattresses have sunk and you can feel the springs. The shower drain is located on the other side of the room. When taking a shower, the whole floor is under water.

We booked an apartment with sea view. For 3 days, the reception didn't answer the phone to confirm my reservation. When we arrived, they told us that there is a problem with apartment and we can stay only in a double room. We did not got any answer of the question: Why nobody call us before we arrived as we came at 16:00 o'clock? Also no free apartments for the whole week. The double room suppose to be with sea view, but it was something like 10% view (very very partial view). We were waiting for ~50 minutes to check in while one of the reception ladies said we have to wait the other one, and the other one went into a room and close the door for ~30mins. The food on breakfast was bad and not fresh. The pools were dirty the whole week (sand in them, leaves from trees, etc.). The only 2 positive things were: - location - close to the beach; - room cleaning service - the lady use to clean every day.

The beach is beautiful, but sloppy, uncared and dirty. Not recommanded for couples due to the fact that the resort is full of children. The food is the same every day, they almost run out of sweets and some types of food in the first 20 min of service and most of the food is fried. Beach benefits from only a few sunbeds, which are always full. On the other side, the location is very nice, a little bit too far way from the actual center of Pomorie and the rooms are very nice. So if you are interested in good food, try somewhere else, also if you are a couple.

Dear Podar R, Thank you for staying at Festa Via Pontica and for sharing your opinion! We value the feedback of our guests! We are sorry to hear that you as a couple did not fully enjoy your stay with us and that the variety of local and international dishes were to your taste. We hope that did not influence your holiday! We would like to note out that the sunbeds and the umbrellas on the beach are limited in order to meet the regulations of the Bulgarian health authorities in regard to the COVID-19 measurements in the country. We would love to welcome you again as our guest! Kind regards, Festa Via Pontica Team
