Our first surprise was the enormous size of the place. It's huge, in the middle of "nowhere", and it has a swimming pool - even a well-filled gym! The hotel is an old luxury place, with tons of history everywhere. The old parts of the hotel is beautiful, spend some time exploring the rooms while you are there. The new...

This lovely old hotel needs updates. We had a nice room. Outside pir window was some large machinery, interrupting what should have been a peaceful view of a beautiful fjord. Lovely rural setting. Great food for dinner and breakfast buffets.

Hotel in a very beautiful landscape, located near a lake. Staff was very friendly. Very good breakfast and diner. Beautiful swimmingpool with a view on the lake. Room and bathroom were old and require an update.

This historic hotel is beautifully maintained. I felt like I had stepped into the turn of the century. Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about hotel history. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely delicious. The setting was so idyllic, there is something so peaceful about the bleating of sheep and their bells outside your window. As an added...

The main things this hotel has going for it are location (nice view over lake and mountains, quiet, proximity to hiking trails)... and lack of competition in the immediate vicinity. The beds were comfortable, chair not bad, and the shower worked well. The room was dimly lit, and opening the window wide enough to enjoy the fresh mountain air required...

Travelling for a week's holiday with a friend, we couldn't have experienced more comfort and care. Our train was delayed for 3 hours but they kept food for us and sent a taxi to the station. Our room, south facing, had stunning views of the lake and mountains and was immaculately clean. Shower good, plenty of hot water. The whole...

Yes, on having a job to do in Vinstra, we decided to find a hotel close. Finding either all hotels fully booked or not open yet, we fell on this fantastic hotel. Having room 602, we had greta views of the southern mountains. We had dinner, wine was good value, and finally breakfast next morning. Sleep quality was perfect, we...

Set between the National Parks of Rondane in the east and Jotunheimen in the north, combined with the beautiful Lake Fefor - the surroundings are breathtaking! Historical and majestic buildings which gives you the feeling of grandeur class. The breakfast and buffet dinner is extraordinary, and complimentary coffee and snacks (sandwich and cake) between meals makes the stay easy and...
