It's difficult to describe first impressions on arriving at Nyungwe Forest Lodge but awestruck and overwhelmed come close. It could be argued that a seven hour drive in cramped conditions and feeling extremely poorly contributed to the feeling of being overwhelmed but that would not do the lodge or the staff justice. By any measure the design, decor, attention to... More

Located in a tea plantation, this hotel had a truly beautiful setting. And the design of the hotel was fabulous (I think it won an award for its architecture). But the management seemed to be nonexistent. Trying to find staff to help was not easy and there didn't appear to be anybody in charge so resolving issues was a real... More

This lodge is unbelievable! It is situated in the middle of Paradise, tea plantation, forest, nature, the gorgeous views of the forest, the infinity pool (very small but enough to feel the infinity). The wifi is very slow in the rooms, but this is an advantage rather than a disadvantage. When you find a place like that in the hart... More

This is a beautiful, classy hotel. The food was EXCELLENT and the rooms were very comfortable. I really enjoyed making use of the spa...the spa treatments are a bargain compared to what we'd pay in the states. Even though it's not communal dining, it's not a hard place for solo travelers to connect with other guests. My only negative on... More

The lodge is very nicely situated at the edge of the rain forest and in the middle of a tea plantation. The views, in particular from the beautiful main building, are stunning. We loved our room. We do hope though that there is a bigger maintenance scheme because although the accomodation is tasteful and nice, there are parts of it... More

I was blown away! Not only was the lobby area immaculate and beautiful, the rooms were outstanding. I hate swimming but took advantage of the great views from the infinity pool. If that's not enough, there were monkeys everywhere! The food was average but good enough to satisfy. The staff went out of their way to help you with everything... More

I had a fantastic time, the staff, the ambience, the experience was just too awesome. The food is out of this world. The activities are breathtaking, view from the lodge is scenic, monkeys are awesome to watch. Its serene and quiet as well.

Very high end, very comfortable, accommodating, beautiful rooms. Great service from the waiting staff, especially John, he was exceptional. Only criticism is that it was lacking that personable touch from the managers on duty, they were pleasant and polite though.

I arrived at Nyungwe Forest Lodge as my final accommodation in Rwanda - leaving 'the best till last' as they say ! What a beautiful and relaxing place. On arrival we were given welcome drinks and were able to take in the beautiful surroundings ... set in the middle of a tea plantation with beautiful views of the surrounding rain... More

This five star hotel in Nyungwe Forest, surrounded by the tea plantation in front and the forest behind, you can meet some primates visiting the area. Birds singing, restaurant service and other facilities to tourists and other guests are sure to get there. Anyone with idea to stay calm and enjoy the nature could plan to stay there.
