Lovely staff, really helpful and made it easy and relaxing to stay. The rooms were comfortable and they picked us up from the boat easily with no stress. Great coffee and chilled music by the pool, we didn't want to leave.
We stayed here for just one night before flying out the next day. We know that Mykonos is very pricey for what you get but paying 250 a night, you would expect hot water (or at least semi warm). Also, people commented that its quiet. The seaview room is right by the busy road leading to the town centre. The pool and bar are very average and outdated. The toilet wasnt disinfected or cleaned properly. I will however give it 2 points as 1. the room was relatively modern, even though it smelled damp and 2. The sunset. For paying this money, i would overall expect more. We wont be staying here again.
I was there after 3 nights in a boutique hotel, but Sofia village was much better; Very clean, close to the city and the buses, good price, nice room with everything, nice pool and bar, the people on the reception are very helpful and kind. Especially Esmeralda!!!! So nice and helpful. I’ll definitely will come back to this great hotel next time. Thanks!
Really bad experience. All started the day I booked the room. Got double charged by the hotel and when I arrived there they were acting like nothing happened and were asking of proof, even though they had two receipts. They didn’t even apologized for taking the money twice (manually). The lady at the reception was very rude and looked like she didn’t care about anything at all. They gave us a room at the end of the property. It was good size wise but very old. The keys were missing and I had to go twice to the reception to get them. Basic amenities (no shower gel though). The WiFi was not working at all. The second day after complaining they told us about another WiFi called “eleni” but still didn’t work at all. The a/c was broken and after 10 min of working there was massive water leakage. Thank god we were there and all of our stuff were not destroyed. The little freezer was placed in a way were you couldn’t open the freezer. No actions were taken for the above. After two days we decided to stay more on the island. The reception lady offered us a “better rate “ than booking.com so we can skip their charges, so we said ok since we didn’t want to move again for 2 nights only. No receipts were given to us or anything. They just changed the towels (not the bedsheets, and no amenities where replaced) The last day when we went to pay they asked 25 more euros cause one friend of ours used the pool for an hour and stayed till late for drinks (since everything was closing at midnight). So they charged her overnight. There was not a lot of COVID-19 measurements taken. The antibacterial gel was empty at the common areas and none in the room. Would not recommend the place at all. Especially the lady working at the reception was really rude and made us feel like we “bother” her all the time with her attitude.…
Having read some of the negative reviews of Sofia village, I can wholeheartedly confirm they must be false reviews. Our stay here in mid october could not have been better, the staff were incredibly welcoming, check in was fast and simple even though we only booked on booking.com minutes before. Sofia is a lovely lady and could not have been more attentive to our needs, the rest of the staff were also wonderful and did a fantastic job making our family feel welcome. Sylvia the receptionist / fantastic host was one of the nicest people we met here in Mykonos, given the opportunity we would definitely return without hesitation. The apartment was clean and more than suffice for our needs. Just outside is a variety of shops and supermarkets that are easily accessible and well priced, town is a small walk away. I can not reccomend this place enough, finally paying our bar tab the prices were phenomenally cheap around 1e for a cold beer by the pool. If you are considering staying here, my suggestion is go for it you will have a great time. Many thanks Sofia village, we hope to see you again soon !!…
Loved this hotel. We had an amazing suite with a huge terrace over looking Mykonos town and the whole bay - sunsets were spectacular from here. The room was large, en suite bathroom, very clean with a small sitting room and kitchenette. There was a grocery store very close by to have breakfast essentials handy. The staff were amazingly helpful Azar ran the shuttle and drove us there & back to a local restaurant for dinner as well as taking us to the ferry. Mike at the bar & Cynthia at reception were friendly and accommodating. I had read the reviews regarding the steep hill which were accurate but being fairly fit seniors we thought we'd be OK. In the heat of the day it's a very long trek, we made it but always took a cheap taxi ride after that climb. Highly recommend Sofia Village…
Everything was perfect. Beautiful place, close to town (although it's a steep walk. The highlight though is the staff, a beautiful group of people who took wonderful care of me. Plus the view of the sunset from my room was unbeatable, and they really helped me out when other providers fell through. Great price for Mykonos as well
Loved this place. Room No 7 had an amazing view which I wasn't expecting. A short walk to Mykonos Town centre. Only negatives is that we didn't like the loud dance music by the pool. On the last day we had to book a taxi to the port because it was before 8 am(We were told free transfer between 8am until 12 pm). We were told it would cost 12 euros but they charged us 30 euros..
The hotel is about 10min walk to Mykonos town. The bar ans swimming pool are are lovely and very clean. Our room was basic but more than enough for the value. The best part of this hotel is the staff! They are very friendly and helpful. They’re always with a big smile. We definitely will come back!!!
