Even before we arrived, the staff were on point, with Rania contacting us to arrange the free transfer from the airport. She was also an absolute star when we got there too - helping with pointing out places to go, calling restaurants to make reservations and seemingly working every hour of the day. A common sound of our week there was her replying 'of course' when you asked her pretty much anything. However, what the hotel needs desperately is more Ranias. The other staff who were there were equally fantastic, but they were so overstretched. The hotel could really do with an on-site engineer to help fix little things like our slow-draining sink and wonky plug socket, and someone to be serving at the poolside bar constantly - that would pretty much pay for itself, as I know I would have got more poolside drinks had someone been there, rather than having to bother Rania or whoever else was working. Now that those things are out of the way, there are so many more positives to think about - the free breakfast is a socially distanced table service, rather than buffet, and is both plentiful and delicious; the pool is a great space with just about the right amount of loungers for everyone who wants one; and the rooms were a great size, with a cute little seating area outside each one so you could chill there. The location too is excellent - that free shuttle from the airport only takes a few minutes, as you're pretty close to it, there's free parking for your hire car at the hotel, and you have a short and generally pretty picturesque stroll down into town. Ask the staff for the quick path down, rather than following the roads - much safer and speedier. Just as we were about to leave, the UK announced quarantine for people coming back from Mykonos, which led to the vast majority of bookings for the next week cancelling. If you're considering going to the island, you could do far, far worse than support the Petinaros - it'd be a crying shame if it didn't survive the pandemic.…
The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to provide a great experience. Rania was especially helpful and friendly. The rooms were amazing and had everything we needed for our 7 night stay. The breakfast was far superior to any free breakfast I've had in hotels previously and always served with a smile. The pool area was great and a lot nicer than we were expecting. Location wise it's only a 10 minute walk down the hill into Mykonos Town so was great. Would recommend to anyone looking for a very reasonably priced hotel in Mykonos.
Stayed at the Petinaros for a week and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Rania on reception couldn't do enough for us and was a trove of knowledge on the best places to eat and drink in the area. The pool area is beautiful and makes an extremely relaxing place to while away a few hours or even a day. Breakfast is plentiful and is served til late, allowing a lie-in. The rooms were beautiful, clean and the shower is better than those I've experienced in 5 star hotels. All in all a stunning experience and I can't wait to return.
I have been many times in Mykonos and stayed in various hotels. This was my first time in Hotel Petinaros and it was a great experience. The hosts and employees, are very polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are in excellent condition, renovated, modern, spacious and very clean. The location is perfect as it is very close to town, port, aiport and other important attractions. The most important thing for this year is that they follow by the book all regulations regarding covid-19. So, you can be safe there for sure. This hotel is highly recommended!
From the manager, to the front desk staff, to the awesome bartender the staff was very friendly and helpful in accommodating our every need and pointing us in the right direction for transportation, shopping, restaurants, etc. Would have been lost without them. Breakfast was pretty good.
