We chose Grand Beach resort for its location – adjacent to and overlooking Grand Beach (not actually the prettiest, and quite windy while we were there, but a beach nonetheless) and a short (albeit treacherous) walk to town/Chora. The people are wonderful, most especially Panos, who has a bright future in hospitality or just about anything else he choses to do with his life (what an absolute sweetheart!). Our room and the common areas were very clean, but a tad dated (our bathroom could have used updating). The pool is beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent, and served in a room with stunning sea views. We also enjoyed a snack via room service, and were happy with the food, price, and speedy service. The overall price was definitely reasonable, too. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend Grand Beach Resort.…
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the incredible views, sunset and the new renovated room with ocean view. The room was very big, well decorated, as well as the bathroom, great details in the Lightning. The staf always ready to help you. We rent a car in the hotel, where they also have free parking and you can easily return it there, quite convenient. The breakfast had good variety and the food in the restaurant was sooo tasty!! We felt it was a great choice
Mixed feedback about our recent stay at Grand Beach. Great pool area with lots of lounges and the breakfast was great. However I was extremely frustrated with the lack of communication from the hotel. I emailed the hotel 3 times asking for them to arrange a transfer for us and received no response. I sent a facebook message and whats app message and received no response. It was only when I got to Greece and got a simcard and called them, did they arrange this for us. Our room did not have a sea view, you could see the ocean if you went out onto the patio otherwise we looked out onto another room. The toilet seat and shower were both broken, there was a towel with makeup all over it and there was no satellite TV. Definitely areas for improvement, particularly responding to guests emails!…
First time in Greece and booked our hotel for five days. Was not disappointed, it was much better than I imagined. Even though it’s located near (10mins walk) to the city centre, the hotel was very quiet and private, which we very liked. Breakfast was rich, foods were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the chicken mushroom risotto. Everyone was friendly, they were checking the mini bar every day, cleaning, fresh towels every day and making sure our stay was perfect. Going to the city, and sightseeing is a must, but I preferred to stay at the pool and enjoy the view. The view from our room was just WOW. So, long story short, I loved everything, everyone and definitely will recommend this hotel to everyone I know, who will visit Mykonos. Thank you, Grand Beach!
pros..location was very private with the exception of the 54,000 steps getting up the darn hill into the place..lol. taxi service limited and what for the scammers as they ripped us off... front desk people very nice. bartender nice but offered nothing local such as cost of quad bike which ar bey the thousands on this island. Athena in the restaurant was a sweet girl who works 18 hour days. rooms/suites have no air flow and humid all the time..you have to keep windows/doors open for air flow. no elevators to any room.. hotel only open may to september for contrary to their web site they are not open all the time. pictures on web site need updating and the girl models they have within the site are dates and attract and give the wrong impression such as a younger crowd type of hotel. hard to contact via email and or facebook.....resturant lacking menu items. breakfast european and not anywhere near north american. overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel for the most part. thank you…
We had an Amazing time at the Grand Beach hotel! The staff is just wonderful and do everything possible to ensure you trip is the very best! The pool is very nice and the drinks and food were very good as well. Really loved the Passion Fruit Margaritas😀 the hotel is a quick 10 minute walk into the city center where you can find fun restaurants and bars as well as great shopping! We will be back for sure!!
What a great stay. The hotel is located at a walking distance from Mykonos' little venice. The walk is a little scary because there is no pedestrian walk and cars pass by fast, but we got used to it. We paid 20 euros from the airport (and we had to wait for a taxi), so better ask the hotel for a pickup. Check in was fast. The room was at the top floor, a steep walk from the lobby, and not fun if you arrive tired late at night. However, it turns out that it's not that hard and to the opposite, the room offered a unique view of the beach / bay in front of the hotel. A magnificent view in my opinion. Front desk team were warm and helpful, and made their best that we have a pleasant stay. I can't remember their names, but I would like to thank them for the hospitality. I wanted to rent a bike and the lovely person at the front desk explained to me how to get the international license approved through an online provider then had the bike delivered to the hotel (instead of going all the way to town center). Great service. Breakfast could be better. If you don't mind the strong winds, you can have your meal at the balcony and have a wonderful morning. The room i was offered was one of the newly renovated ones, so it was great. You can use the pool at the hotel if you don't feel like walking few steps to the nearby sandy beach. The chaise-longs are very comfortable and the mood is amazing you wouldn't want to leave. We extended our stay so we had to be moved to the older rooms, who were slightly old, but had larger balconies and same view of the beach and little venice. We were able to get a good deal on prices relative to the nearby hotels, but still it was very expensive. We would love to stay there another time. All in all, it was an unforgettable stay.…
If you’re looking for quiet but luxury , boutique hotel with amazing views on Aegean Sea and famous Myconian windmills - this is the perfect place. Very clean rooms with all amenities you could need- full set of toiletries including even shaving and toothbrush sets- which is not that common even in 5-stars hotels. Bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and pool towels in the room. Pool bar with decent list of cocktails and premium international spirits and the bartender who knows his job and prepares both tasty and good looking cocktails. Very strong point. All the staff wearing masks and cleaning and disinfecting common areas quite often. Very polite and helpful manager and the whole crew. Although hotel is ca. 400m from the city, but located above the beach so once you wanted to change swimming pool into beach - it is easy and very close. Worth coming here in September when Mykonos is not that crowded and you may get some rest and silence. And suite with private pool give you the privacy and luxury with beautiful views.…
We were four families who stayed here for two nights. From the moment we stepped in we were greeted in a warm and friendly manner. We were assigned rooms even though we arrived early. Two of our rooms faced the beach and the breeze on the balcony was pleasant and refreshing. The staff everywhere was helpful and polite at all times. The poolside area is quite large with enough sun beds. The breakfast room was big enough not to create crowding and the spread was delicious. The hotel is within walking distance to Little Venice and Chora but care should be taken on the narrow roads. Desti, at the front desk was amazing and helped arrange our transportation, which made it easy for our large group of 12. She even negotiated the rates. Vanessa at the front desk was also very helpful in helping us make restaurant reservations. One of our group left behind some valuables in the safe and Desti made sure to retrieve them and send the package overnight to our hotel in Athens. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this place.…
We spent two nights at the Grand Beach, and had a great experience. The service was great and our room was huge with a bedroom area and a separate living room and terrace. The best part was the expansive pool where I spent a delightful afternoon. The one drawback was the road that we needed to walk along to get to Mykonos Town, as it was rather narrow with fast traffic. But it is close enough that you can get to the core of the town in maybe 10-15 minutes.
