we arrived two hours before the check-ing they said that we can take a shower if we want so we took it and suddenly they said we must to pay 5€ for that.the kitchen utensils are horrible no wifi in the rooms only at the reception,no clim, the staff are not friendly except the youngest guy. during the cheking we were knocked on the door to say that we must leave at 11:30 while in the email and booking say 12h.

I firstly must say, I hate leaving a bad review but apart from the room being clean, the staff being lovely and airport/port transfers I would say this place has nothing else I can be too positive about. None of the room had air-conditioning and really needed it! All night it was so so hot and we were in Mykonos in June not even the hottest part of summer yet! The staff will tell you no one complains which we didn't either as they were nice and it was my fault not realising that the rooms didn't have air-conditioning as we booked last minute and everywhere else was even more expensive! The ceiling fan hardly did anything and we had to resort to risking mosquitos and other bugs entering our room over night just to have the balcony doors open to let some air in! It mightve been nicer if it was more windy but both nights we were very restless from being way too hot! Also there is nothing close to the accommodation, the roads to walk anywhere are very questionable and you need to walk at least 15minutes to get to anything for food and/or drink. Also another location issue was that the airplanes sound like they're going to land on your room just to give you an idea about how loud they are! Also there are flights all night, we got used to them but I did find myself awake at 1am and 5am at least. If you want to be near the airport for your last night or something that would be the only time I would say consider staying here but otherwise the amount we paid was about double what this place is worth! The staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to get a last minute transfer to the airport and they came to the Ferry port to pick us up (just don't expect any contact, I wrote it in our booking and didn't hear back from them but they were there to pick us up!). The room was quite clean (not perfect in the bathroom we discovered after showering, around the toilet wasn't very clean - the bathroom was a wet room so the water didn't just stay in the shower). Finally the transfers were very helpful, it's not often you get free transfers, but I think because of the hotels location it is very necessary as it's difficult to walk to from anywhere.

The hotel for the price we paid was OK. Of course there are many better but we booked it the "last minute" for reasonable price. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The manager is not treating well his employees. WiFi exists only in main reception so it may be difficult for you to find signal. Cleaners give you new towels etc every day. If you have a car to come and go I would recommend it.

This family run hotel is the most friendly, helpful and accommodating hotel we have encountered in all of Greece. After scuba diving in the morning, we were able to come back to the hotel (after we checked out in the morning) to shower and change before leaving our luggage there again to go down to Mykonos Town to have lunch. We then came back to pick up our rental car (left on their premise) to return it close to the port. They also transported the remainder three of us plus all of our bags to the port after we picked up my husband from the car return. All transport charges to and from port were included.

A long hard walk from the town (and we like hiking). No TV, wi fi didn't work in the room, shower could only be hand held and next to the airport runway.Charged €5 each for pick from the port (we were told it should have been €10 each!) and they wanted to charge us €10 each to take us to the airport! So, one night in a bad hotel could cost you €90! Plus points? Clean and nice staff.

Having read the very negative reviews we were wondering what we would find at the Ibiscus; but from our warm welcome at the airport by Fillis, to our free transfer to the Port we couldn’t find fault with this property. When we arrived at the accommodation we were met by Katerina who welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of useful information. We have travelled extensively in Greece over the past 30 years and have come to know what to expect from Greek self-catering accommodation and we feel that the Ibiscus, at the time of visiting, certainly doesn’t merit the very negative feedback. Our studio on the first floor was very clean with 2 lovely white fluffy towels each. There was a small fridge in the room which was very new and the small kitchen area was equipped with basic self-catering equipment – adequate for our stay. There was a two-ring electric cooker and the only thing that was missing, but we managed with the small saucepan, was an electric kettle, which I feel the management should consider supplying. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights’ sleep. On the down-side, there was no air conditioning but the large ceiling fan kept us cool enough for the early June night. We didn’t have any problem with mosquitoes but took the precaution of using insect repellent just in case! Yes, the pillows, as with most Greek accommodation, were not the most comfortable, but as I always take my feather pillow with me this is never a problem. We had a spacious balcony furnished with a table and 2 comfortable chairs with a pleasant open view. The room was fairly small but the wardrobe space was the most we’ve ever had in Greece. We also didn’t find the proximity to the airport to be a problem – in fact it was quite fascinating to watch the planes turn around at the end of the runway before take-off. There was no noise during the night as there were no flights. We also didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The property is quite ‘out in the Styx’ but again we didn’t find this a problem for our one nights’ stay. We didn’t venture to the town but I guess it would take around half an hour to walk. We would most certainly stay at the Ibiscus again en route from Mykonos Airport to the other Greek islands.

Hotel has nothing decent to offer. Rooms are very very basic with cheap furniture and no amenities. No air conditioning at all which makes room practically unbearable with heat in the summer. No food on offer and location of hotel provides horrendous noise from airport runway. Not easy to reach hotel from town or to go anywhere without a car. Much higher standards expected for price of hotel. Would definitely never go back

Since the appartment had no air cond and is located 50 meters off the airport runway, you can imagine how badly we slept. Although, people where nice, the hotel appartment is more positioned for young backpackers than for people 40 like us, even if the price is still quite high compared to other islands. Then, the advice could be to avoid Mykonos as much as you can, and escape with the first ferry as soin as you can!
