I have stayed in this hotel 11 years ago as well that’s why I found them online and make my booking directly with the hotel. We arrived late there was a nice and kind lady at the reception she showed us our room and recommended some place to eat. The room was perfect size and cleaned we had AC, hot water, toiletries, smart TV connect to the internet. We stayed 3 nights and they cleaned our rooms every day, our room has a small balcony and looking to the main road but when you closed the windows no noise was coming at all. The hotel was really central you can walk anywhere around. If I ever go to Mykonos I would definitely stay here again.
We booked a ‘Budget Twin Room’ via hostel world in April, for August. When we arrived at the hotel we were provided keys for a double room. I showed the staff member my booking and said we needed a twin room (for my friend and I). She explained that she only had doubles and it was a mistake with hostelworld’s website. Given that it was peak season, we had no option but to take the room. No discount or compensation was offered, despite me saying “i haven’t received what I paid for and I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known this”. The comment was met with a shoulder shrug and continued denial of fault. When we followed up with hostelworld, they confirmed that all room descriptions are created by the property, but they’d forward the complaint on for us. False advertising, poor service and uninspiring room. You can certainly find better than this place. Photos of basic double (€190 per night). Photos are as we checked out, the bed was made when we arrived of course. …
The location is perfect as you able to go anywhere in walking distance, but however the room are full of dust, as on the 2nd night we stay, the toilet bowl flushing system spoiled. Room are full of weird and uncomfortable smell which similar to clothes not dry enough.
Good location and very clean however, our room (Room 1) was right on the busy street and was very noisy at night time. The staff are friendly and inviting but a little disorganised. In our situation, the person in our group who booked our room’s card did not work. As a result, I offered to pay for the group. Upon getting my invoice, I realised that they had not corrected the name on the invoice and that it was still my friend’s name on it. When I asked to change it, the woman at the front desk got defensive and tried to tell me she couldn’t fix it?! In the end she agreed to fix it however, she messed up the payment method noted on the invoice. I had specified I was not paying with a Visa card but yet she still put it on the invoice! In other words, this place is a good value for money in Mykonos and if you don’t mind a noisy room with a bit disorganised staff. …
+ Location: a few meters away from Kato Myloi + Value for money: Most probably it will be more expensive during summer, but for us it was perfect. + Staff: Friendly, helpful. + Changed towels from day one. - A bit noisy as it lays on a busy street. - A bit small, but ok for two days. - Bathroom could have been better. There is a small window on the top, looking on the rest of the room, which is too bad. - Receptionist did not know what room we booked when we arrived. We had to mention even the price that was agreed. However, she was perfect on everything else.
Rooms on ground floor had nice little patio. The bus worked great from the airport dropping you 1 short block from the hotel. Of course 3 people told us 3 different ways to get there so it took a while. Once you knew correct street= the left one from bus-it was easy. From the room you could pick any one of 4 streets to wind thru the city yet be far enough from cruise mobs that clogged the streets by the port. Staff very helpful. Did Delos on my own (with Rick Steves help) and it was magical.
I stayed here in one of the street front rooms with 3 friends. The room was lovely and serviced daily. It has a great location on this side of the island and it is easy to bus over to the other side of the island where more of the party life is. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with information about the island. Because of the location and peak season, be prepared for it to be loud in the mornings - this is just to be expected in this kind of locstion and earplugs meant it didn’t bother us at all. Thanks for having us to stay :)
This is actually a really cute family run place in the heart of Mykonos. There is some parking nearby but it’s always busy so Orpheas is more suited to travellers who wish to walk around rather than drive. Other than that it has simple clean rooms for a comfortable stay.
Convenience: (1) Less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the bus terminal/ Windmills/ Little Venus/ Mykonos Town. Comfortable: (1) We felt very welcomed by the receptionist who is very approachable, helpful and friendly. We even have welcome- juice not just plain water. (2) We are allowed to left our luggages with receptionist who kept them safe in a locked storeroom, so that we could tour around freely and with ease. (3) We were given room that does not require us to climb loads of steps as our luggages were quite heavy. That is very thoughful of the receptionist. Clean: The room was very clean and tidy. There is no weird odour. The towels are changed daily and our room were cleansed and tidied up neatly daily by the housekeeper. Content: There is hairdryer, water heater, safe- box, toilet-paper rolls, a bottle of each hair shampoo, body wash and body lotion provided in the room. Safe: None of our belongings were missing in the room which is located at the ground level, even though the cleaner prefers open our window to air.…
From our first day to our last, we had such a great experience at Orpheas! We left our luggages with the receptionist and started our day in Mykonos. When we returned, we were given such an amazing room. We had a private terrace and faced the ocean. It was so nice. The location is 10/10. You will be so close to such great restaurants, cafes, the bus terminal and more. Great value for sure. I'd recommend them!
