I stayed there with my mom this august for 2 nights. I was expecting good accommodations but the water was always cold. The manager did nothing about it. I would not recommend it although the stuff was very kind
The worst hotel that I've ever been to. It was dirty and unsanitary and my room was smelling really bad from the day we got in. I would not recommend it anyone. At least the stuff from the reception were kind and really helpful.
We stayed here for just one night checking in at check in time and out at check out time. We used the hotel to its best ability having an afternoon in the pool and ordering bar service. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was absoutley beautiful, relaxing and clean. Unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open due to the hotel closing in 5 days but we were given a site to order delivery. A wonderful hotel to stay at.
Mykonos is a fabulous place - the three shades isn’t. It’s clean but it’s on such a dangerous road it’s like crossing the Grand Prix circuit every time you leave the hotel. Not suitable for people who have mobility issues. The room we had was open plan meaning the bathroom was in the bedroom with a sheer glass screen in front of a shower that you have to step in to a large bath to get in. You would need to be friendly with the person you’re sharing with as there is no privacy you’d be on show in the shower . The breakfast was very simple and is served in a sort of car port with plastic sheeting windows which is a nightmare in the wind. The fried eggs are cooked early and kept warm in a heated tray so no matter what time you go for breakfast the eggs aren’t changed. The toaster is a really old fashioned pop up one that the toast doesn’t fit in properly . The hotel has no entertainment or music which is a shame as where it is is quite lonely . The bar man Igor was lovely and did try playing music but something happened and he wasn’t there our second week. We loved Mykonos but not this hotel. It needs to put on a concierge bus to the town as the road is awful and some music of an evening to attract people to sit at the bar. It needs refurbishing too as the furniture looks tired. Visit Mykonos but go to a different hotel . …
Location is not prime and the rooms are in need of a face lift. Minimal amenities and internet is sporadic. Pool area lounges are in need of replacement. Plumbing problems and sewer smell in our first room. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Chose to stay here as our 'splurge' hotel of our Greece trip as the pictures look really good. Hotel has nice appearance upon arrival in the parking lot. Strange art in the lobby and by the pool seems to take away from the classy/sleek vibe of the hotel. We thought breakfast was included, but it was an additional 20 euro per person per day. Pool area and poolside bar look really nice. Drinks at hotel bar are no cheaper, if not more expensive than multiple restaurants in town, but are convenient. Our room was on the opposite side of the pool, so unfortunately looked into another property that was mostly garbage and very unkempt - not a great view. The pavement around our room was all cracked, and the pieces of gravel/pavement got in your sandals, and this area pooled water, so there were puddles outside the room in the morning after they were done cleaning. Upon entering our room, the concierge found the bathroom fan to not be working and making a very loud, awful noise. She said she would send maintenance by to fix this, but we never saw anyone, and it was never fixed, so we did not use the fan throughout our trip. The room was fine - looks like the pictures, but run down. Our shower drain did not drain well, so part way through showering, you would be standing in an inch or two of water. The closet doors didn't close fully, neither did the cabinet under the sink. There was a safe in the room, however, the button code didn't work on the one in our room so we just had to get the key from the concierge to utilize the safe. The remote on the air conditioner was only working off and on, so we got new batteries for it, but unfortunately it continued to be temperamental. The bed was comfortable! There was a portable android phone provided, that was super convenient. It gave you data and access to internet/maps to use around the island during your stay, and they allowed you to make free international calls with it. This was probably the best aspect of our stay here. Location was approximately 10 minute walk from town, so quite convenient, and it was steps away from a bus stop right on the corner, for easy access to beaches and towns. There is also a convenience store right on the corner across from the bus stop for water. Concierge was fine - seemed really nice and helpful upon check in. When we were checking out, she was less than helpful with the bus schedule, and said our guests don't use the bus, they use car service, so I don't know. Well... we were your guests, so this is probably something you should know. Overall, our stay was fine... clean, safe, budget worthy hotel. Not as glamorous as we were hoping based on the pictures. Definitely not worth what we paid... and we got a discounted price!…
The staff was very attentive. I especially liked the couple that tended the bar/restaurant. The pool area is a nice repose from the bustle of Mykonos town. They gave great recommendations for which beaches to visit, taking public transport, and set up a SCUBA dive for me. They even have parking for your rental, which you might want to consider for the uphill walk from town. The rooms were spacious and comfy.
Situated on a very busy main road taking you down into Mykonos Town, single file walking for a good 10 minute walk. Don’t attempt to walk in the heat of the day take a bus back to Vrisi Market for €1.80. A modern hotel with friendly staff, room 107 was very large with a balcony looking out towards Mykonos town and the sea...(lovely view). Lovely breakfast with a good choice. Pool area although not used very much by travellers was very clean and pool towels were provided. Couldn’t always get hot water for showers, but we were told they rely on the sun heating the water....! Would come back to stay in this hotel...
Where do we start! Vasilis welcomed us so gracefully. From the moment we walked in the door he was super accomodating and extremely helpful! A true asset to any business. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were magic, super clean and spacious. Breakfast was the best we have had our whole holiday! We will 100% return and recommend without hesitation.
I am writing this review from the epic poolside bar at Three Shades Mykonos on my first ever visit to the island on July 4th, 2019. I travel internationally frequently and never post about my experiences but I feel compelled to share about my time at Three Shades. What makes this hotel stand out the most to me is the staff - everyone from the owners to the bartenders to the front desk (Vasilles in particular, who accommodated us 8 times already for lost room keys!). The level of attention to detail surpassed even my most optimistic expectations. The location can not be surpassed as it’s a quick walk away from town. Beautiful rooms, GORGEOUS pool, and a wonderful team. I will never consider staying at another hotel in Mykonos.
