Everyone has a different perspective of what makes a great hotel

For me I find if the staff is happy / smiling and attentive it sets the bar for what is to follow and in 2022 cleanliness is paramount/ the entire property is spotless. The entire staff was always masked 24-7

It was not our first visit / been there very often / Team Rochari has "Greek Hospitality" in spades

In the past couple of years the hotel has done major upgrades to the property - the rooms - pool area and public spaces. It is in a class of its own

From the smiling host meeting you at the airport / welcoming front desk staff / they cannot do enough

The location and views are primo / a couple of minutes walk to town for shopping, food and late night partying

The breakfast spread alone will keep you full until dinner time / made to order pancakes. omelets and crepes / homemade Greek pastries and pies and wonderful assortments of fresh fruit

It is not the cheapest property on the island but we are talking about Mykonos in2022 / you get what you pay for and the Rochari delivers on every detail

You will not be disappointed

We stayed at Rochari last summer (2019) and again this year (July 2020).

We were very happy and satisfied both times. The hotel is ideally located, it offers a beautiful view on the old town. The swimming pool is beautiful and refreshing. The food (breakfast in particular) is delicious. The staff is very kind, friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

This year, we stayed in the Classic Suite: the only improvement that we would suggest is to renovate the shower (the shower floor should be renewed).

It was our first time in Mykonos and we were greatly surprised with the city and the hotel. Location is great as you are 5 mins walking to the center of town (direct alley connecting the hotel) but also you feel a bit secluded as the hotel is on the top which provides very nice sunset views. The room was superb - we had a terrase with sea views where we enjoyed breakfast (a bit windy though). Finally, the service was our favorite, the hotel provides shuttle service for free and the staff was super friendly, they helped us book a car which was brought directly to the hotel for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back to this hotel!

This hotel was recommended to us and whilst listed as 3 stars is better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are simple but well designed and comfortable. The shower was amazing and there was a beautiful terrace that was directly over looking the bay and we could watch the sunsets which are out of this world. The bar by the pool is well priced and the food delicious. The staff are are so helpful and cannot do enough for you. The location is sublime and literally 5 mins walk and you are in the center of town.

This is amongst the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at (and there’s been a few!) Where to begin? The staff are brilliant. As someone who teaches Legendary Service, it’s always wonderful to find a place where they “get it” - from the driver who collects you at the airport, the reception team, the housekeeping team and the bar team - all truly want you to have a fantastic experience! Very gay friendly too! The location is perfect - close to everything and with a commanding view that is only enhanced by the perfect sunsets from the pool bar. The rooms are beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and high quality linen and accessories. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will be back as soon as I can!

Lovely hotel positioned above Mykonos Town, views over the area and to the sea. Every room has a view and balcony, some bigger and better positioned but facing the afternoon sun. Dining area was clean, staff very attentive and friendly and food fresh and tasty. Rooms clean, beds comfy and well appointed with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries, fabulous! Pool lounges and area also really nice, quality towels and no problem getting a space. Easy walking straight into town and down to the port, we hired a car for 24 hrs to explore the island and staff were happy to help us with parking as roads tight, busy and steep hills! Great spot to enjoy the whitewashed views of Mykonos, meander and shop down the many cobblestone lanes or find a restaurant to watch the world go by 💕

I've been going to this hotel every summer with a group of friends for the past 5+ years and it keeps getting better and better. The hotel's decoration is elegant and very well thought of, we like that while it's in the center of the city (5-10 minutes away from our favourite bars and restaurants) it's extremely quiet and we can relax outside of the chaos that is Mykonos city at night in the summer. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and extremely clean, most of them with a beautiful view. The food (breakfast and pool side lunch) and cocktails are excellent as well. What really makes us go back every year is the staff, they are all attentionate, warm and professional and a pleasure to be with. Theo and Klara at the omelette/bowl bar deserve a Nobel peace prize for their warmth and the lovely food and drinks they skilfully prepare (the bowl/smoothie in particular is a nectar of the gods), they are a godsent after an alcohol-fueled night out. Marios, Mara and Antea also make the breakfast a restorative experience while Maria at the pool makes sure we don't become a dehydrated crêpe when the sun is high. Everyone (from the reception to the night guard) always makes sure we are comfortable and are having a great time and give excellent advice on places to visit and restaurants to go to. We already look forward to come back next summer as well

Brilliant hotel, transfer quick and easy with great driver, 10 minutes from airport to hotel, check in great , even given a free upgrade , all the staff brilliant , hotel very clean, lovely pool area with good sun beds /bar area,
Great location 5 minute walk to town

We had a 7pm flight back to uk and was allowed to keep our room until 5pm when we was due to be collected by their driver..

However this is we’re things went very bad, upon check out they billed us, €200 for a new toilet, we received a call off reception the day prior to say they needed to fix our toilet for our safety and we had to leave our room for an hour, we didn’t even know their was an issue with the toilet, after about 10 minutes they said we could go back.

There was no prior mention of toilet being broken, or needing replacement,
So you can imagine our surprise when they charged us for this,
We queried this with reception but they were adamant we broke the toilet..

This left a very bitter end to a lovely holiday, we were even looking to return next year but defiantly not following this scam… be cautious at this hotel due to this.

I’ve been coming to Mykonos for 40 years and this is the worst place I have stayed. I rented one of the Mansion suites - it is advertised as a private space but no privacy at all. Anyone could see our terrace and private pool. The pool was dirty. They got the time wrong to pick up my friend and he was left stranded at the port at 5:30 in the morning.
And the breakfast was terrible. When I politely told the guy that my eggs were cold, he rudely answered that they weren’t, that the heating dish was still hot. Most of the staff was at best indifferent. We ended up changing hotels after only 2 nights. Would rather waste 2500 euros on this very overpriced suite and hotel and end up in a much nicer place.

Rochari is a contemporary hotel high up on the hill from the old port in Mykonos. The interior design is minimalist, and light on the eyes. The view is panoramic, with lots to take in. This is a stellar place to have a drink and watch the sunset with friends.

Hi Jeff, it's also not my Hotel. Four of us stayed there and found it to be perfect for our needs and as others have said, the location is unbeatable. Perhaps you can find the answers re price on their website. Enjoy.
