It was our first time in Mykonos and we were greatly surprised with the city and the hotel. Location is great as you are 5 mins walking to the center of town (direct alley connecting the hotel) but also you feel a bit secluded as the hotel is on the top which provides very nice sunset views. The room was superb - we had a terrase with sea views where we enjoyed breakfast (a bit windy though). Finally, the service was our favorite, the hotel provides shuttle service for free and the staff was super friendly, they helped us book a car which was brought directly to the hotel for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back to this hotel!
We stayed at the Rochari and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff are excellent and are always there to help. Perfect location, a short stroll and you are in the centre of Mykonos. I will definitely be staying again.
We stayed at Rochari last summer (2019) and again this year (July 2020). We were very happy and satisfied both times. The hotel is ideally located, it offers a beautiful view on the old town. The swimming pool is beautiful and refreshing. The food (breakfast in particular) is delicious. The staff is very kind, friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and clean. This year, we stayed in the Classic Suite: the only improvement that we would suggest is to renovate the shower (the shower floor should be renewed).
What you need to know about this hotel: -The location is ideal because it's close to the main road out of the town to get to the beaches, and also it's within walking distance of all the bars in town (you do NOT want to have to drive back to your hotel after a night of partying in Mykonos, and NO you cannot uber your way home) -The service is great, the staff is kind and helpful (they helped us deal with an A/C challenge at 6AM) -The view from the pool (which is great) and the cocktails you can have there while catching the sunset are worth stopping by the hotel in any case -The rooms are very nice, clean, tidy with balconies or terrasses with nice views We had an amazing stay (I've been trying to go there for a few years but had never booked well enough in advance) and I highly recommend the place.…
I must say, my friend booked this hotel & I'm glad she did! The pictures don't do it justice - it actually is very beautiful & cool in design terms. Pros 1. Location - we had a car for a few days and there is parking, although can be tight. The back of the hotel is only a few metres from the town though so we would walk to dinner in the town at night (checkout Nautilus restaurant - very close and incredible food - we went twice!). 2. Breakfast - great range, you feel pretty healthy which I love and the view from the balcony is gorgeous over the pool looking out over the town. Fresh juice is a bonus! 3. The Rooms - we had a twin single and it was a good size with an upgrade to a terrace which looked out over the town which was really nice to have to watch the sunset when we didn't feel like venturing down to the town. The bathroom is more like a wet room as the shower screen is not a full screen (not sure why....) & the drain is slightly slow to drain...but nothing that can't be dealt with by lots of towels on the floor afterwards. Pooltowels provided in rooms which is helpful or you could use to lie and sun on your terrace! 4. Gym room - pretty reasonable space to workout for a European hotel, around 3 machines, hand weights. Can get hot in the afternoon sun is my tip (though the room has AC). We used it twice and now I realise it was quite big compared to my Paris hotel!!! 5. Staff very helpful & attentive - helped with taxis etc. Would definitely recommend staying here & would love to stay again. We stayed in the 2nd week of Oct and they were shutting the following week as were most hotels in the area I think. Restaurants & cafes were also talking about shutting in the following week.…
