Detailed Reviews
My husband and I had the best time here. The breakfast was fabulous (still talking about it now) We were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the port, nothing was to much trouble for the lovely couple. They both work so hard, Athina cooking her delicious food and ensuring that all your needs are met. Couldnt have wished for a better start to our island hopping. The rooms are clean, spacious and you feel very safe as all precautions in are in place. The location is great and if not brave enough to drive (like me) you can easily walk to the town/beaches. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Greece. It's a small place, so obviously it's not a big corporate hotel with loads of facilities, if this is what you are after. You can walk to and from the town from here, though not the best walk since they don't seem big on pavements in Mykonos. However, it is super close to the bus route; that runs every half hour and is very cheap. We didn't have a car, but access and parking looked very easy if you had one. It's proximity to the Eko petrol station means taxi drivers can find it easily as well; probably the best way to get back from town after a night out.
We arrived at the port by ferry from Naxos and were provided with a free collection; driver was there on time with a nice clear sign. For that matter we were provided with a free airport transfer; it is very so convenient for that. Say about 20 and 10 minutes respectively.
The place is very quiet and since it is on a hilltop there is a decent view of the sea and the town. Not only is it a short trip into town, you can use the bus to go to Platis Gialos for the beach. It only takes 15 minutes and you are right by the sea. You will get provided with free beach towels every day; just pick them up in the morning from the basket and drop them in the used towel basket when you get back. We had a flight late afternoon and they were more than happy for us to take towels and have a shower after the beach before transferring to the airport that day.
As other reviews note, this establishment is run by Athina and her husband and they absolutely put heart and soul into looking after the place and their guests. When we arrived she sat down with us and explained all about the beaches, the buses, where to eat in Mykonos town and booked a trip to Delos for us. Mention has been made of the breakfasts; the baking is done by Athina herself. She makes some great cakes and bread. We were so well looked after from start to finish, which exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We would thoroughly recommend the place.

This beautiful boutique hotel, is quaint and in the prime location. We stayed at Aether for 5 nights. Athina and her family are the most incredible hosts. We had the best welcoming, she explained the whole island and the best places to see which was so helpful as she really had some hidden gems. The breakfast was fresh and made with love as Athina bakes her her own cakes etc. It was delicious! A real greek experiences. Rooms were spacious and minimal- super clean and comfy. Anything we needed, was provided and we had the most incredible holiday. If ever you in are in Mykonos please stay at this beautiful stunning boutique hotel, you will leave as family :)

What a wonderful gem in Mykonos! The previous reviews are all spot on. Athina and her husband welcome their guests with true Greek hospitality. They provided pick up and drop off service to the port as well as a delicious home made breakfast! Everyone is made by Athina herself - the bread, the cakes, the jam. And they provide all sorts of options to suit all tastes. And it is all served and not buffet style.
The breakfast room is located right next à lovely chapel. The people has been in the family for years and has been renovated into this simple yet elegant hotel.
The rooms are « island-style » beautiful with a nice view. It’s a short 10-15 minute walk to town. But in a nice quiet location to ensure a good night’s rest.
We found this to be absolutely one of the best value hotels we have ever stayed at.

What makes the stay in this small hotel truly unforgettable in my opinion are Athena and Atanasio, the two owners with their beautiful little girls. What they give to those who stay with them is a priceless experience on this island: a taste of Greek culture and the warm hospitality of this country (which you will hardly find elsewhere...). Starting with the breakfast prepared with love by the owner every morning with always different fresh products baked directly by her or purchased in local bakeries she trusts and continuing with precious advice on the beaches to visit for the day depending on the wind and on the places where you can savor the slightly more authentic island cuisine. Even our one year and four month old daughter was pampered by their attention, never intrusive, and by the affection with which they welcomed us...
I also applaud the cleanliness of the room (fundamental with a small child)... we stayed in n.1, small but with attention to detail and with everything needed for the stay (disposable slippers, scented bathroom products, towels plenty and fresh bottle of water every day). For the last night they also gave us a nice surprise with the upgrade to room no. 3 with a wonderful large window right in front of the bed.
Last priceless cuddle received: clean beach towels available every day!!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Ps. Athena I want your olive bread recipe!

I feel so lucky to have found this wonderful place to stay on Mykonos.
It is a very small boutique hotel, just outside the main town, with gorgeous sea views, run by the loveliest young family.
It is easy to feel lost in the crowd on Mykonos, but at Aether you are treated like an individual, with genuine warmth and care.
Athina took time to understand my wishes for my holiday and made excellent and perceptive recommendations for activities and places to eat, as well as making all the arrangements for me at no charge. She always checked to make sure I had enjoyed myself. It was true hospitality. I genuinely felt her love for the island, it’s history, and for the people who stay at Aether.
The breakfasts are just delicious. Excellent homemade breads, pastries, preserves, and cakes, as well as local eggs, cheeses, yoghurt, meats and fruits. I didn’t need lunch once during my stay.
I stayed in a garden view room, but in fact my huge terrace had magnificent sea views. It was a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink in the evening as the sun went down. The room was pristine Mykonos white, kept spotless, and very comfortable.
The rates are truly excellent value for Mykonos. Don’t hesitate to book here if you can, but get in early as the 2022 season is looking like a busy one.

This boutique hotel with like 6 rooms is perfect for people who don't want to sleep in the middle of the confusion in mykonos town but it's just 1km from the town center.
Good room with a good bed and good amenities, the coconut shower gel is fantastic.
But what makes this hotel a 5 start hotel are the owners. The couple that runs the place are fantastic. They make a personalized breakfast every morning, I love a buffet breakfast so I was not sure what to aspect and believe me you will love it. The attention they give to you will make thedifference. They are super friendly and give all information about the island and whatever you need. There is a supermarket and a gás station very close. I did rented a bike it's the best way to stay in mykonos, there's a lot of traffic. Book this hotel with no fear. You won't hear anything in your bedroom while sleeping and you have a great balcony. Already missing the hotel the owners and Moris ( neighbors small dog).
Loved it ❤

Response from Aether Mykonos, Ιδιοκτήτης at Aether Boutique Stay
Responded Jul 5, 2022
From the deep of our heart a huge thank you for this amazing note... but mostly for choosing our small hotel for your holidays otherwise we wouldn't have the opportunity to meet such a special couple! We missed you and of course we give a promise to meet again either in Portugal either in Greece! Take care, keep travelling... Lots of love, athina & athanasios

After 2 and a half years we finally got there!!
And in all our many travels, never can I honestly say I felt like we were leaving family when we had to go home!! Even from arrival, when Athina went thru restaurants and places to visit, then realised hadn’t taken driving licences, but all good , we needed a relaxing holiday and that’s exactly what happened! The view from our panoramic window was simply amazing then out onto an enormous terrace with the sun beds we used of an afternoon after a walk into town, on a very busy road, Mykonos don’t do a big line on pavements, but we got used to it and plenty other people walking around too, this was an ideal way to walk off a perfect traditional breakfast. I missed out on Athina’s scrumptious morning bakes, as gluten free, my partner loved them all, and have to say they did look tasty, however, I did have the rice pudding with cinnamon and was delightful as reminded me of my youth, as my mum used to make it the same., as well as Greek yogurt, fruits etc on her morning menu. The freshly squeezed orange juice was so lovely too!
The clean white lines and simplicity of our room was perfect and cleaned immaculately every day, with a socket by the mirror for my hair dryer/ straightener, I was very happy!
There are 6 rooms at this boutique hotel/apartments, it’s not a large hotel and if you require big hotel amenities then maybe think this thru but what it misses on big facilities it more than makes up on the personal attention, help and friendliness that Athina and Athanasios pour into their small hotel.
Athina recommended the garden where the cinema is located in town for a chill in the afternoon, and can highly recommend if you want to escape the cruise boat chaos the small town encounters, it was idillac.
Would come back in a heartbeat, don’t hesitate to book this lovely family run hotel.
Thank you so much Athina, Athanasios, Joanna and the very cute Sophia, a very busy little lady with an adorable little smile. Hopefully see you in Mykonos, Greece or even Scotland soon!

+1
The location of this property worked out very well for us. We could get to the beach by taking a long walk or ride a bus there. We could walk to the town and get easily lost in all the streets with no name. We also walked to the old port to do a boat trip to Delos and Rhenia. We love to walk so this was easy for us. Also we needed to walk off all the delicacies that Athina made for breakfast. I will be dreaming about her olive bread and homemade jams and cakes forever. This couple is very special and we prefer to have a unique experience.
They also guided us to go the Rizes farm which was also a unique experience. The room we had was well laid out with a beautiful view. The price of the room is such a bargain you will not regret staying here.
