This was such a lovely hotel! The staff were beyond kind and helpful! We only stayed one night then went to another hotel, but for that short time we were extremely well taken care of. We booked the jacuzzi suite. The jacuzzi was directly outside of our room, so semi private, as guests across the way could potentially see us in the Jacuzzi. The drinks and breakfast were delicious! The pool are was so relaxing and has a wonderful view of the ocean. The restaurants chef was ill and as such the kitchen closed a bit early, but the staff were super helpful in helping us order food to be delivered.
The hotel is close to the port. Narrow road makes walking to downtown (1/2 mile) a bit dicey. Best part of hotel is the pool and bar. Reasonably priced with an attentive staff. We enjoyed afternoon drinks and watching boats while beating the heat in the infinity pool. Staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed.
We spent 6 nights as a group of 5 friends celebrating our belated 50th birthdays. We had originally booked to go in 2020 but had to delay it twice due to Covid. The communication throughout that time was excellent. The stand out thing for us, from the minute we arrived was the staff . They're all so friendly and literally can not do enough for you. The hotel has only 17 rooms/suites & is split over 4 levels . Possibly not for you if stairs & steepish climbs are not your thing. Also there is no footpath outside the hotel for part of the walk to mykonos town . Even though we did it ourselves everyday , it's not the safest . We had 2 great air-conditioned suites next to each other on the 2nd level with a massive terrace in front that was all ours, with 4 sunloungers and a giant sofa. There were also 2 umbrellas . But it's not always possible to put them up as the island is very windy a lot of the time . The view from the terrace, out to sea was amazing. Every evening you get to watch the sunset. During the day it was so peaceful . Most of the other guests seemed to go out all day so we had the beautiful infinity pool to ourselves . It's not heated but once you got in , it was lovely. Breakfast was also a real bonus , in that you could have as much of anything as you wanted and it was available until 11:30am ! They also have a lunch/dinner menu & everything we had from that was really tasty, especially the caesar salad & the risotto . There is only a tiny beach in mykonos town , not really suitable to spend the day as it doesn't have any sunbeds or umbrellas... but does have lots of seagulls & pigeons . The hotel can arrange transport to take you anywhere . They got us a ride, €40 each way, to Platys Gyalos , a beautiful beach with luxury loungers to hire (€40 for 2 & an umbrella + a minimum spend of €40 at the bar ) Bring your credit card , as nothing in Mykonos is cheap! The Apenema however, was great value for money , given the ideal location & fantastic service . Many thanks to George, Nena & the rest of the Apanema team for ensuring our stay was perfect.…
Nice hotel, extremely wonderful, gracious and most helpful staff really the best top notch. Not sure what makes it a resort it’s a hotel with a pool. Main issue is it’s location. It’s located 1.5km from Little Venice north of Mykonos town but the first 500m into Mykonos Town you are walking on the main road along with cars buses scooters trucks you name it. And coming back in the evening in the dark (lamp posts are out) with oncoming traffic and the heavy fierce Meltemi winds makes it a very unpleasant experience and very unsafe return back to the hotel. Not recommended for the elderly or children. Everything else is fine clean, rooms are a bit bland, bathroom is black, bed mattress was sunken in on one side. But that return to hotel on car road is really unpleasant.
This was hands down the most attentive, beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are so kind and will do anything for you. Being a small hotel you feel you really get to know the staff, they are attentive without being obtrusive. They all give you space to enjoy your holiday but are on hand at a moments notice with transfers, bringing drinks to your room (remembering your room number), even going to check that you had turned your hair straighteners off and then texting you to say all is fine and enjoy your night! The facilities are beautiful and tranquil, our room was perfect. We had the jacuzzi pool in/out of our room- it was so lovely to drift off to sleep with the sound of the gentle water and then wake up to ‘that view.’ We watched the sunset each night playing games, having a drink- who needs a sunset bar when you are in room 4! The food was lovely, great concept for breakfast- you fill your card in the night before and can order whatever you like! The freshly squeezed orange is beautiful. I was craving tomatoes and wrote a little message on my card and sure enough at breakfast the next day there they were! They accidentally forgot our fruit /wine on arrival so they let us have this in our final night in an ice bucket on our balcony. There is only one thing that slightly let the room down, and I mean so so slightly- I’d have loved to have been able to make a cup of tea in my room for when you wake, or want some down time away from the sun. The walk to town is along the road (no pavements) but it’s only 10 mins and the cars/buses/quads do give you plenty of room. Ps. It’s very windy! If you want a romantic peaceful attentive hotel look no further than this one, I was genuinely sad to leave and can’t wait to visit again.…
Not only is this hotel gorgeous, the customer service has been impeccable from the moment we were greeted. The entire staff welcomed us, helped us feel at home and you can tell they we really want to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast . It was very European , and filling and yummy. It's really nice it's included because most Mykonos dining is expensive. We also enjoyed the most relaxing, quaint tasty dinner at the hotel. The service was awesome! We asked for a room upgrade and because there was availability we were given a beautiful two story suite with 3 balconies. Each had a unique view. The rooms were clean and it had every amenity. The upgrade was at no charge luckily for us. The location is perfect. 7 minute walk into Mykonos Town. $15 taxi to windmills/little Italy. If you want to party at paradise there is easy access by bus and if you want to party at Cavo Tagoo it is a 3 minute walk. I would stay here over and over. It has been a truly special place to spend our honeymoon. Thank you for helping my Mykynos dreams come to life!…
Outstanding customer service! After almost 3 weeks in Italy and Greece, this was the perfect place to end our vacation. Resort is fabulous! Small boutique feel, excellent amenities in room (we were upgraded at no cost to room with large patio that overlooked pool and ocean…heaven!), and customer service was some of the best of our entire trip! Food (including breakfast) was great and very attentive to guests. George is amazing! He carried our luggage, helps with breakfast, put up our umbrella by the pool and even moved the umbrella when he noticed my husband feel asleep and was getting too much sun, and got us coffee a few minutes before breakfast was to be served. He’s amazing! The front office staff were also great. We were starving for lunch when arrived and while restaurant was not yet open, the office provided lunch menus and called in our lunch order from a local restaurant to be delivered. Would definitely stay here again!…
After travelling for nearly 24 hours, we arrived dead tired. At Apanema and were instantly warmed by the hospitality of this family run resort. Everybody had a huge smile on their faces. The rooms were clean and had great balconies where we met some wonderful guests and shared a bottle (or 2, actually 3!) of wine. Mykonos town was a short 8 - 10 minute walk away. The breakfast was quite good . We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at Apanema Resort during our stay at Mykonos and would highly recommend them to anybody looking for nice family owned place to stay in Mykonos town.
Us and other couple stayed here for three nights in the beginning of April. Such a nice place. The Hotel is beautiful. There are maybe 20 rooms at the most. Built into the hillside, with a view of the harbor and Aegean Sea beyond. We stayed in Room 1, all the way at the top of the property. Our friends were in Room 2, next door. The staff was so friendly and so willing to help ion any way. The Hotel has a little Bar and Restaurant. The food was terrific. They have the option of having your breakfast delivered to you room or you can eat in the little restaurant. It is a short walk into the town; however, it is along the main two-lane road, with not much shoulder along part of it. Still, it was not a real issue. We ere there at the beginning of the season and it was not warm enough to really enjoy the pool area, and there were a lot of places that were not open yet. The only issue is apparently the rooms were mixed up, and we were supposed to be in room 2 and our friends in room 1. There is a 40 Euro difference, per night in the cost. Amazing resort.…
The staff, service, location and amenities of this property was excellent and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. However, we were traveling with our very good friends. The management gave them an upgrade at no charge to a room at a similar category as ours at no additional charge to them. The cost difference was significant as it was over 120€ plus taxes. When we requested an adjustment to our charges to match theirs as we felt it was only fair that we pay the same amount as them, they denied our request. The management stated that since we reserved the room at the charges specified we did not qualify for this adjustment. They stated that they were being cordial by allowing our friends to stay next to us. As they already charged our credit card for the charges, and we did reserve the more expensive room we had little recourse at this point. This truly soured our opinion of the management and their policies, hence the overall rating. We weren’t expecting a full credit of the 120€. But some sort of smaller credit would have been appreciated and would have changed our opinion of the management of this property. All in all we loved Mykonos and the staff and service. We would not stay at this resort again based on the unreasonable answer we received in regards to our request for a simple price adjustment.…
