If you prefer a more private, bijou location, Apanema Resort is a retreat from the island’s vibrant lifestyle. A very homely and casual place Apanema is a small hotel with just 17 rooms/suites offering an intimate, friendly and relaxed surrounding. It is located right on the waterfront with a dreaming sunset view, in the Tagoo area, which is right next to Mykonos town at barely 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Mykonos Town.

After travelling for nearly 24 hours, we arrived dead tired. At Apanema and were instantly warmed by the hospitality of this family run resort. Everybody had a huge smile on their faces. The rooms were clean and had great balconies where we met some wonderful guests and shared a bottle (or 2, actually 3!) of wine. Mykonos town was a short 8 - 10 minute walk away. The breakfast was quite good . We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at Apanema Resort during our stay at Mykonos and would highly recommend them to anybody looking for nice family owned place to stay in Mykonos town.

Us and other couple stayed here for three nights in the beginning of April. Such a nice place. The Hotel is beautiful. There are maybe 20 rooms at the most. Built into the hillside, with a view of the harbor and Aegean Sea beyond. We stayed in Room 1, all the way at the top of the property. Our friends were in Room 2, next door. The staff was so friendly and so willing to help ion any way. The Hotel has a little Bar and Restaurant. The food was terrific. They have the option of having your breakfast delivered to you room or you can eat in the little restaurant. It is a short walk into the town; however, it is along the main two-lane road, with not much shoulder along part of it. Still, it was not a real issue. We ere there at the beginning of the season and it was not warm enough to really enjoy the pool area, and there were a lot of places that were not open yet. The only issue is apparently the rooms were mixed up, and we were supposed to be in room 2 and our friends in room 1. There is a 40 Euro difference, per night in the cost. Amazing resort.

The staff, service, location and amenities of this property was excellent and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. However, we were traveling with our very good friends. The management gave them an upgrade at no charge to a room at a similar category as ours at no additional charge to them. The cost difference was significant as it was over 120€ plus taxes. When we requested an adjustment to our charges to match theirs as we felt it was only fair that we pay the same amount as them, they denied our request. The management stated that since we reserved the room at the charges specified we did not qualify for this adjustment. They stated that they were being cordial by allowing our friends to stay next to us. As they already charged our credit card for the charges, and we did reserve the more expensive room we had little recourse at this point. This truly soured our opinion of the management and their policies, hence the overall rating. We weren’t expecting a full credit of the 120€. But some sort of smaller credit would have been appreciated and would have changed our opinion of the management of this property. All in all we loved Mykonos and the staff and service. We would not stay at this resort again based on the unreasonable answer we received in regards to our request for a simple price adjustment.

Excellent! Great location…It’s 10 minutes walk to the town center. Literally, 10 minutes (2km) from new port. It’s very good location. Excellent! Excellent staff! Staff is what makes every hotel/resort excellent. Same thing here, every staff member are very very friendly, helpful and courteous. They did not hesitate to go extra mile to help us with. Alex and George were very helpful and friendly. My family is vegetarian/vegan….for breakfast they were very accommodating. Reception even called us back in room to recommend 2-3 restaurants in town for vegetarian and vegan. Place is kept very clean. Pool, beach chairs and breakfast area are kept neat , clean and comfy. Definitely recommend this place.

Wow… just wow! My partner and I enjoyed three amazing nights in this resort in June and cannot rate it high enough. The room was huge and comfortable, great bed and general facilities with your own mini courtyard out the front near the pool. The pool has the most incredible views all day long but at sunset goes into another league. The only thing better than the view is the staff, their service and friendliness is second to none. Oh and the breakfast is pretty good too, no complaints at all.

A beautiful family run boutique hotel; our stay was made even better by the heartfelt kindness of all the staff. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was special & comfortable. You have the best of both worlds at this hotel too as although it’s nice and quiet, you are only a 10-15minute walk from the centre of Mykonos with all the restaurants & bars. Highly recommended this hotel.

It was our first time in Mykonos and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for this. Walking distance to the old town. True that you need to walk on the road, with cars passing by but the drivers are very accustomed to it and are very attentive to pedestrians. We’ve never felt unsecure. The rooms was extremely clean and the terraces and pool with an amazing view at the sunset are worthing every penny. Izabela is simply amazing, helping with lots of tips, advices, reservations, car rentals etc. And George - always present, smiling and having a nice word to say - hats off!

We have been Mykonos several times But finally we hit the jackpot of the Hotels staying at Apenema, the hotel has a great location Walking distance from the old port, and a view that put you are in the first row of daily beautiful sunsets from the pool, your balcony or the courtyard of your room, each morning you are spoiled by a vast and fresh breakfast served to your room at your request, the rooms are clean and count with super confortable beds. The attention to the details by the Apanema team lead by Isabela to make you feel confortable and enjoy your stay are just wonderful. The site count with their own parking lot and believe me this is a great perk to have specially if you are thinking to rent a car or motorcycle in order to discover the island. If you are arriving or leaving by boat you are located 5 minutes from the new port, if you are flaying in or out the pickup service arranged by them works beautiful. Tired and do not want to go to the town for lunch or dinner the restaurant is very good and specially very nice at night with a very cozy atmosphere. Bottom line the hotel counts with all the material elements that you request and expect of a 4 or 5 stars hotel, however the service and friendly atmosphere that entire Apanema team provide us was a 10 stars !

Such a lovely hotel, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much to ask. You get your breakfast delivered to a terrace/balcony outside your room each morning and they can deliver as late as 12 noon which is unusual and it is a la carte. We had lunch here a few times and were surprised at the quality of the pasta and burger it was as good as any restaurant in town. The rooms were very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Really cannot fault this place, the views are amazing and the sun sets directly in front of it.
