What can I say for this establishment! We had such a great time with my husband. Our room was just beautiful with a king size bed and a large patio facing the port and the town.Breakfast was more than delicious with fresh local products.Staff was amazing!Sophia and her team all are super friendly and ready to answer all the questions you may have!Really enjoyable!Thank you for everything we will be back for sure!
Stayed here for 5 nights in August. Beautiful hotel, amazing views, spotless rooms and lovely poolside bar with brilliant cocktails served by a great guy. Thanks Alkyon Hotel you made our holiday special.
It was one of the best trips I’ve ever had. The hotel was sooo cool and the staff were super nice and friendly. They provided all facilities we needed. Room service was great and the breakfast was excellent. It’s highly recommended and I definitely will go there next year!
Hotel Alkyon is located above the town. This means a 15 minute walk up and down. Cap fare is fixed at €10. However, you get a great view of the town and the harbour. Well worth the effort. You also get peace and quiet …. Mykonos is one party island. The hotel is very classy, well appointed and clean. Rooms are large and bright. Large windows and highly effective heat pumps to keep the room cool. Great showers. Breakfasts are more than amble and the buffet area is kept spotless. The staff is beyond pleasant and always helpful. Transport to and from the port or the airport is included in your reservation. Our arrival suffered a major delay but the hotel limo was there to pick us up. Chris was there with a welcome and no complaints. That was amazing but first impressions are all part of this staff team. Not inexpensive sure but good value for cost. No hesitation in recommending this hotel…
Pros: Very clean room and they renew the products every day Pool towels supplied as many as you need Breakfast selection isn’t bad (fruit is old however, needs to be fresher) Pool service is good Patio area on some of the room are v nice Great view from pool Can walk into town but a good 15-20 min along main road (not for heel wearers) Cons: There is no restaurant there, everything shuts by about 10:20am Upstairs bar advertised but not in effect until 10pm you have to go down to pool to get drinks You get charged 10 euro for orange juice and 14 for grapefruit basically because they suspect you have drinks to pour in which is daft No mirror in the rooms (for a party destination this is poor) Not all plug sockets work in the room
My partner and I have just returned after a week here and wow it was fabulous! Huge thanks to Chris & Sophia for our warm welcome. The room was excellent and super clean......no problems whatsoever The pool area and terrace was amazing (esp. for the sunsets)! Nice breakfast and Chris (pool bar), the cleaners and the breakfast staff were super friendly.........no complaints whatsoever!!
We just returned yesterday from our one week vacation at Alkyon Hotel and we had the best time ever. What a marvellous place is!Our room was modern new with a beautiful terrace. It was exactly what we have booked!Sophia and her team were all so helpful and informative!Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices! We have already booked our stay for next year!See you again in 2023!
Room - bad - No kettle/coffee/tea facilities - 5 hangers in wardrobe - Shower was a dribble (it was a rainforest head with a hand spray thing. They managed to fix the spray with a new head, but the rain thing was still a dribble) - No mirror in room for make-up/hair etc. - other than a stupidly small shaving mirror, see photo (but at least the bathroom one was large and lights were very bright and there were power points for hairdryer/curlers etc.) - Room 101 was on the edge of the site and open to road access (i.e. zero security), so no privacy whatsoever from the road for the patio area (and there was no shaded area) - No natural light in the room due to having to keep the shutter doors closed due to lack of privacy due to the patio doors (no curtains) facing road - Nowhere and nothing to dry towels/swimwear on outside (or inside) probs due to no security etc. Room - good - Very clean, modern, well appointed room and bathroom - comfortable bed - good air conditioning - TV (but only Sky News, BBC World news and CNN - ironing board - Fridge Hotel - bad - The walk up the hill very quickly became a ridiculous, sweaty drag! - The cleaner went in our room when the "do not disturb" sign was on the door (we were at breakfast) and then removed water bottles that we were refilling! We had to ask the manager to have a word with her. - they wanted 130€ for us to keep the room on the last day from 12pm to 5pm - not surprisingly, we expressed our regret at not allowing them to rip us off - This is simply NOT a 4 star hotel! (other than their room charges ) Hotel - good - Amazing views over the town and sea - Free airport shuttle - Great pool area which was never busy - Breakfast was (just ok, certainly not 4*, but) on a shaded patio with those great views - you need to insert the door card in a holder just inside the door to get lights and aircon. But any plastic card will do - we used a Boots points card - so you can leave the aircon on while you are out in the evening, ready for your sweaty return from The Hill - There is a kiosk at the roundabout 100m up the hill from the hotel (for emergency water and booze) and a good supermarket if you turn left at the roundabout and walk another 200m…
I stayed with my husband a week ago in this hotel and we really enjoyed it! The staff is so helpful from the 2 receptionists to the barman amd the driver. Our room was marvelous with a beautiful view to the sea and the bay! Thank you Alkyon see you next time!Dave & Susan xxx
Amazing location above the town centre (accessible by foot) and the sea, beautiful view. The staff is adorable, rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is good, the pool is beautiful with a stunning view. Would absolutely visit again !
