Mykonos is a beautiful island and we have loved our time here and we would highly recommend staying at the Andronikos. If we ever come back we will definitely be staying here again :)
Service at breakfast and around the pool during the day was outstanding, super friendly service, nothing was too much trouble and the guys were always there when every you needed something.
The quality of the food and drink was also amazing, its up there with other better know venues on the island that we visited.
The pool area is lovely, plenty of large day beds that were really comfortable, fresh towels available all the time, and the music was perfect for the time of day it was being played.
I was surprised with a birthday cake on my birthday which was delicious and not expected, the personal service from the team was second to non, everyone made sure to remember our names which was a lovely touch and made us feel welcome and relaxed from the minute we arrived. you could tell the whole team enjoyed working at the hotel.
we didn't want to leave and will certainly be recommending to friends and when we visit Mykonos again we'll certainly be staying at the Andronikos.
Thank you all, an amazing relaxed stay.
The hotel itself is stunning, just a short walk into the main town. And having travelled around (by quad) a lot this year, you really realise how far away some hotels get and some are not within walking distance to the centre. The hotel is on a hill and a fairly busy road. But there is space for you to walk up and down relatively easily. The rooms are truly beautiful, and kept lovely and clean by the cleaning staff throughout your stay. This year we were lucky enough to have a room with not one, but two private balconies and a jacuzzi. If you get this option, do it, you won’t regret it.
Now, I should really have said this first, as honestly I would stay in a shed if the service was guaranteed to be as good as it it is at this hotel. The staff go above and beyond hour expectations. I have travelled far and wide, stayed in many ‘fancy’ hotels and never been treated the way we are treated here. Like royalty from the second you arrive to the second you leave. Even then, further correspondence from the reception staff to make sure we arrived home safely. The staff treat everybody this way and can’t do enough. I’d like to say a special thank you to Minas and the other bar/restaurant staff, for seeing to our every need and making us feel special every single day.
I also wanted to assure anyone booking that this hotel could not be more safe from Covid. Extremely clean, hand sanitiser at your disposal and all staff wearing masks etc. We were lucky not to have any issues when travelling and we’re impressed in general with Mykonos itself. We were sad to have needed to quarantine on arrival back into the UK as felt Mykonos was extremely safe indeed. That being said, it was so worth it, even more so because of hotel Andronikos!
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts! We will see you again soon, we hope.
The rooms are immaculate and the beds are super comfortable. Location is great - 15/20 mins into town however would advise anyone elderly or who wishes to walk to be super careful as it’s on a busy road with narrow pavements - car travel is the safest method of getting around.
Overall excellent stay!
The arrival at the hotel was very pleasant and the ladies on reception were very smiley and helpful. We were taken to our room which was very clean, the air con was reliable, cold and quiet and the WiFi was great you could even stream Netflix videos.
After emptying our suitcases we met the fabulous Minas and the. team by the pool and were treated to welcome cocktails. The food and drinks around the pool were very tasty.
Breakfast is incredible, there is a buffet with fruits, pastries, bread, sweets, cereals and that’s without the fresh eggs the chef cooks to perfection in front of you.
Hotel is a 15 min walk to town and they put on a free shuttle bus at 8 and 9pm if needed.
Highly recommended this hotel to everybody.
Thanks for the great trip,
Will and Eleanor
The heart of the operation is found at the beautiful pool and bar which doubles as a pleasant breakfast setting. Unlike any place I’ve ever stayed, the staff seems to be trained as every member your social director. The smiles, greetings and offers of assistance are maintained at a stunningly high level, truly friendly and not just performative. Even the owner and managers will quickly learn and remember your name and hometown.
The location is high enough for a fine view of the sea but far enough from the scrum to be restful and quiet. That does mean, however, you’ll want a taxi or the hotel shuttle to go anywhere. Reservations for activities were prompt and informative. And the free shuttle was easy to reserve. ATVs and scooters are available on site.
The building admirably follows the island’s celebrated white cube design. Nevertheless, we found the “modern” décor of the room a bit dated. And the shin-banging frame of the platform around the bed and the see-through shower were annoying. However, we did sleep awfully well, impressed with the sound proofing.
A note for your reservation. Are you there for the party or need some privacy? The Jacuzzi rooms are special, but be aware that some face outward to the Aegean; others look right on to the pool. We chose the sea view and were delighted for a romantic soak under the moon and stars.
The pool area is spotless and it’s a lovely area with a DJ most days, beautiful food and amazing cocktails. The staff all day are non stop to give you anything you need and it was so relaxing. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice and beautiful juices, dinner was also exceptional the food was outstanding.
The rooms were also spotless and beds were super comfy although they are very soft. Again the rooms were faultless with lovely sea view and sunset views.
The hotel is about a 10min walk into the centre of Mykonos town which was so convenient although this walk wouldn’t be suitable if you had any mobility issues. We also always got a taxi back from the town as that would be all uphill and the town is chaos but we found this easy to organize and cost about 10-15 euros. The hotel is also very close to the airport, about a 5 min drive and the hotel arranged all of our transfers seemlessly.
We were very interested to see how this hotel lived up to the amazing reviews we saw before we left and we can see why it does, we loved every minute and we fell in love with Mykonos! We would come back every year if we could and would recommend to anyone this is a must stay hotel.
Pool area had a lovely vibe with music playing all day. Breakfast was a highlight sitting round the pool and it is served until 11am. Decent range of food, pastries, salad etc. Restaurant menu a bit limited but what we did order was delicious (yes Minas - best chips on the island 😅).
Room very contemporary, clean and spacious. We had a quiet garden view which was fine. Best rooms overlook the pool of you like to hear the music and people watch.
It’s a 10 min walk to town, which we didn’t think would be a problem as we are used to walking. However the roads are very busy, pavements non existent and it is very dark walking back uphill at night so you have to have your wits about you. There is a taxi rank at the edge of town but there is often a long wait depending on the time of night. We had assumed that the hotel shuttle would run more often but it only went to town at 8 & 9pm (and not back), which I felt was pretty poor. The hotel would be perfect if the shuttle ran more often. The hotel offer to arrange a private taxi but the cost is extortionate. We paid 40 euros to visit Arnos beach, which is a 7 min drive. Organising direct with a private taxi cost us 20 euros!! It left us feeling like the hotel take a cut!
Visit 180 degree restaurant for the sunset - it has an amazing vibe and food is very reasonable for Mykonos.
Every hotel staff member was so warm and helpful. We had a fantastic experience from the moment we entered the hotel till we left.
When we reached Mykonos port by ferry, we couldn’t find any taxi for the hotel. After trying for a while, we called the hotel. The reception was accommodating and sent a hotel pick up for us within 10 mins of the call, which was really awesome as the weather was not helping. Dimitra and Stella at the front desk helped us with so many things like scheduling a COVID fit to fly test, arranging a cheap car rental right from the hotel (One without a deposit). They both were remarkable. They also provided us with valuable local tips.
After completing the check-in, we were given a tour of the entire hotel. Our welcome at the bar/restaurant was superb. We were greeted with amazing welcome cocktails. The restaurant director Minas was the most memorable part of our stay. He is one of the few guys you meet in your journey whom you always remember, and they leave an imprint. From the first meet, he treated us like royalty. He kept checking on us at all the breakfast meals. The hotel management was also very kind in offering us a complimentary dinner. This was a very rare offering in the hospitality industry where we were given a high-end Ala carte dinner for two free of cost. Special thanks to the kitchen chef for taking extra care of our breakfast and dinner meals and taking it to the next level by providing out of menu special dishes. This was the best meal we had on our entire Greece trip. I want to mention Vangelis and Ernis for the superb service at the restaurant. They went above and beyond for us.
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Mykonos. We can't wait to be back!
