Centrally located in Mykonos town steps away from shops restaurants nightlife and everything else Mykonos town has to offer , yet its secure, safe and private location let’s you forget that you in the middle of the action. Beautiful pool area that converts into amazing restaurant and cocktail lounge area at night. Home to the Famous NOBU RESTAURANT
We didn't stay at this hotel but had sunset drinks at the Sunken Watermelon Lounge which was FABULOUS!!! Such an incredible view in a gorgeous setting around their pool area. We were seated in a cute area above the outside bar perched high above Chora below. The sunset from here was AMAZING!!! The staff from the hostess, to managers, to waitress were all professional, prompt, & personable. The drinks were delicious as were the light bites we had. This was the perfect spot for sunset pre-dinner!!! I would definitely love to come back for a romantic dinner here on our next visit to Mykonos.
This is the main Belevedere hotel to the Belevdere Hilltop suites we stayed 5 nights at and I posted a 2600 word review about our experience. Please be sure to read it before you book any room in either of these places. I can only assume there is one management team over these properties who are responsible for the extremely poor service. Workers seem to be doing their best. This is not a five star quality place, its barely 2 but you will pay five star prices.
Belvedere is everything you would expect from a 5 star luxury hotel. Great service, beautiful well-kept grounds, spacious rooms, great food (Matsuhisa is a must!), fabulous gym, and finally, perfect ambiance and decor for a truly luxurious island stay. It is in town so it can be loud at night, but part of the experience of Mykonos is the lively night life so we didn’t mind!
The positive is that the hotel is very nicely located with walking distance to everything in Mykonos town. The small pool area is beautiful with pink flowers and is well maintained. Beautiful breakfast area and bar. Very small and pittoresque. However to the rest…When you pay over 1100 euros a night you kinda expect to get good quality and high standard. Not in this case… the rooms were super small, dark and to be honest pretty bad with cheap furniture and a wardrobe that couldn’t “stay opened” because it was wrongly put together. A bit annoying. We complained about the room and the guy in the recepetion showed us other rooms to change to, just as small or facing a wall… and that would be for an additional cost. No thanks! When checking out (earlier than planned since we were so disappointed) I forgot my charger in the room I spoke to Pavlos in the reception refused to give it back to us with the response “allow me to inform you for the second time we do not have your charger” with a very irritated and rude tone, but when we went there we it was finally given to us by another of his colleagues.. The breakfast (which they also charged extra for) was not good. Inattentive staff, just a pile of carbs and bread that didn’t look very tempting and the à la carte not very good to be honest. A bit more healthy options and variety would have been appreciated. This hotel would have been ok for a 4 star but def not 5 stars.…
It was so wonderful to return to Mykonos after years of pandemic lockdown. Coming to Greece in July was always something I looked forward to most - and the moment I walked into the gleaming white lobby of the Belvedere Hotel with the sparkling blue Aegean in the distance, I realized just how much I had missed this beautiful island, and of course, this hotel. I’ve stayed here a lot. Every year in fact for the last ten years. Sometimes for as long as month! The staff are always warm and friendly, remembering your name and anticipating your needs. The white marble and wood interiors concieved by the renown designer, David Rockwell - are chic and timeless, like a luxury yacht. And of course, the location - right on the edge of town - is perfect for a sunset stroll exploring the shops, narrow streets and small bars of Chora, without having to brave the chaotic Mykonos roads at night. Let’s just say, its a lot better driving to the beach during the day and staying in town at night, than the other way around! A lot of people who come to Mykonos these days get a villa, and that’s understandable when you have a big group. But honestly, staying at Belvedere is like having your own discrete, luxurious home with a brilliant staff, an in-house DJ and cocktail bar, and a personal kitchen run by Nobu Matsuhisa - without the hassle and security risks of renting a place in the middle of nowhere. I’ve stayed at most of the top hotels on the island over the years, but I find myself still coming back to Belvedere. To be honest, part of me doesn’t really want to let you in on the secret of this place, because they are already overbooked every season - and its hard enough to get a room. But I love everyone and everything here, and I think you will too.…
The worst reception ever you call them and they tell you not now and then hang up on you next time when you make reservations for your client and someone calls you back for confirmation just confirm and dont hang up the phone screaming please, just do your job as we do!!!!
Usually the staff can overcome hotel shortcomings. Not the case in this stay. Rooms were average, for the price should be higher quality bedding and sheets. Charging for in room coffee is a joke. The check out person made the process more complex than need be. In addition to charging us incorrectly, she asked if we wanted to add gratuity. Considering we had to carry out our own bags since the bellman never showed up, was the icing on the cake. I would not recommend the hotel at all. As a frequent traveler, this hotel is a 3 star at best and is overpriced by 80%. The only redeeming quality is the Nobu restaurant, but the hotel itself should not get any credit.
We stayed here for a week, and it was definitely the right choice. This hotel has the best location, as it is in the center of town! Hence, there is no need to use taxis to move around town. It is such a beautiful hotel, tucked away, with bougainvilleas and white washed villas. Each suite has a private balcony, which is such a nice touch. The service is absolutely amazing, in regards to the housekeeping, the Nobu restaurant and the overall staff. I used the concierge to book all my reservations for restaurants and beach clubs, which was extremely convenient and helpful. The spa is also sublime; it is a Six Senses one, and offers a private steam room inside your massage room. Overall, our stay in Belvedere was really relaxing and definitely worth returning to.
We went to the Belvedere hotel for dinner at the Japanese restaurant, but it was full and we didn't have a reservation. Then we had dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant and were extremely surprised. the food was excellent and the perfect service provided by Aphrodite, who received us with great care and attention. It was the best service we had in Mykonos!
