We had an excellent stay at La Stella hotel! The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was tasty and generous! Also the location of the hotel is at a peaceful location of the island which made our stay even more pleasant! Will surely pick La Stella on our next visit on Mykonos!
We stayed longer than wanted in Mykonos and given the pandemic this hotel was a fantastic getaway from the hectic streets of the town. The staff was among the nicest I have had around the world. Everything was clean, nice looking and calm.
From a well seasoned traveller the Stella is best hotel on the island for value, staff owners and ambience. Have traveled with my family two years in a row and have already booked for next year. Do not hesitate to book straight way ! Well done Stella, her husband Antonio and all their team, you need to be very proud of what you have achieved !
Rooms are big, modern, cosy and designed in a Greek style. The rooms are fully equipped with all the amenities that you need. The bedding is high quality. The breakfast is excellent with local products and full of flavors. A big thanks to the hotel owner Stella, a super woman who takes care of her clients. I strongly recommend this hotel. Thank you 🙏 Stella
I stayed here for 4 nights and from the moment I arrived it was just wonderful!! Upon checking in I was complimentary upgraded to a suite... and it was wonderful (21). Views of the sunset every night from my room. Everything about La Stella is spotless and beautiful and the staff are great!! The hotel has everything you can think of or need, coffee maker, towels for the pool, hairdryer, straighteners, massage area and cafe! Alongside a pool it has a lovely jacuzzi pool. It is impeciably clean every day and has a wonderful chilled vibe. Near the hotel there is restaurants and supermarkets or to the right a short walk to Platius Gialos beach or to the left a short walk to the main town. Failing that you have the bus stop just opposite with regular buses until late. I absolutely loved every second of my stay and everything about this amazing place. I cannot wait to return. Thank You …
We are on our last evening at La Stella, it has been an amazing week. The rooms are lovely, view is amazing, very clean. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this hotel enough, we will be back.
Hotel is lovely, modern decor, staff are really friendly. Pool is not large, but sufficient size and there is shade for the beds around it. Not too far away from Hora or the beaches and nice local restaurants + shops
We spent a week at La Stella with our children (3 &7). The hotel itself is incredibly charming, the landscaping and planting is very cool and the bedrooms are elegantly understated with everything you need. The owners were incredibly kind and gave us loads of information about where the best family beaches and restaurants were. Also, there are three really good restaurants literally across the road - all great for kids and adults alike. We would absolutely come back to La Stella again. We loved every minute of our stay.
Having read such great reviews here on TripAdvisor, we had high expectations, which unfortunately due the issues below were unmet. We booked a two-night stay at La Stella via Booking.com -- which required us to pay the full amount of $443 in advance on a no-refund-in-the-event-of-cancellation-basis -- for the return leg of our Greek island-hopping trip to celebrate our 20-year wedding anniversary. We were supposed to arrive on the actual night of our anniversary (20 August 2019), however our ferry -- the only one sailing from Milos to Mykonos on that day, and a new route via SuperCat/Golden Ferries -- was cancelled due to the winds being too strong, which obviously happens quite often (both Mykonos and Milos were extremely windy while we were there, as they often are in August). While the ferry company did put us up in very basic accommodation in Milos, and we were able to get the ferry the next morning, we missed our actual anniversary night in Mykonos/at La Stella, which was disappointing as we had hoped to make use of the couples massage advertised*. Although Stella did upgrade us to a larger room and put a half-bottle of champagne in the room to welcome us, both she and Booking.com have subsequently refused to supply a refund for the night we didn't stay due to force majeure -- considering the winds frequently cause problems for guests to make it there (we had originally requested a late check-out which was first agreed to, then denied, then re-offered as apparently the couple due to take our room at checkout were also unable to travel due the weather), she and / or Booking.com as a third-party supplier must make quite a lot of money off people who are unable to attend due to travel cancellations that are not their fault. As we also had to pay quite a high fee to get there from the port and then on to the airport since La Stella does not offer any shuttle service, unlike our much more generous host / experience at Villa Margarita in Mykonos (I can't recommend that enough, as even though there is no pool there, our host kindly picked us up/dropped us off and gave us lifts everywhere), this was, along with the quite-high fee for individually priced items at breakfast (which ended up being over twice the standard 10 euro breakfast fee at other Greek hotels, which typically offer a very generous breakfast buffet), the stay here was already quite steep for what it actually was. While it does style itself a 'luxury' accommodation and is a nice and comfortable place, it only has quite a small pool and the jacuzzi wasn't working properly -- it is supposedly near a bus station but apart from that you need a cab or car to get around as it isn't near a beach or much else (there are two very average restaurants nearby). Therefore, I couldn't really recommend La Stella to anyone unless they have money to throw around, are already on the island (eg there's no chance of a cancellation of your transport there / back) and/or they are just looking for a comfortable, quiet place away from it all in Mykonos to chill out in. *I did have a back massage, however, which was obviously done by a less-professional person as it was actually very painful and has since made the problem with shoulder worse, so I would not recommend this service if you require a massage for health reasons.…
We had an amazing weeks stay at La Stella. The rooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! The staff are all really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The little extras, such as a fresh bottle of water everyday, really made the stay. The pool area is lovely and relaxing. There is a nice little cafe onsite where you can get drinks and snacks throughout the day and we really liked the taverna opposite for food. It is walking distance to Mykonos town one way and the beaches the other way. Do not hesitate booking this hotel, it’s just perfect.
