Labranda Bahía Fañabé & Villas enjoys a prime location cherished by guests for its proximity to local beaches, eateries, and attractions, which makes it a solid base for exploring. The rooms elicit mixed reviews, with some guests appreciating their spaciousness and others suggesting they could benefit from modernization. While the hotel's atmosphere is typically described as vibrant, a few guests find the entertainment somewhat monotonous. The cleanliness of the hotel generally receives high marks, but some areas call for more rigorous housekeeping. As for amenities, they meet guests' expectations, yet updates are in order. The staff's friendliness stands out, although service can be uneven at times. Opinions on value for money vary among travelers.

Firstly, the rooms HAVE air con (we were surprised when we got into our room!)
Secondly, this hotel has little entertainment in evenings and for kids. It’s exactly what we wanted as a couple as it was quiet however, families might not be so happy.
All pools clean. Rooms exceptionally clean.
Previous reviews have mentioned the hotel does get busy on a weekend. IT DOES. The locals come in, the pool became extremely busy including breakfast, lunch and dinner too.

We stayed in villa c21 and what the hotel failed to show on their website, was a roof terrace! We followed stairs up to the top and we’re again, happily surprised to know we had our own rooftop terrace with 2 sun beds and an umbrella. The only thing I can recommend to the hotel is, to put a shower up there, it got hot!

We were in a one bed apartment and the space was unreal! Big bedroom, big living room, sofa comfy and well equipped balcony and roof. Beds were a little hard but pillows were very good which made up for it.

Location wise, great for anyone. Shops, pharmacy, cafe, excursions right of the hotel. Beach was a 5 min walk away. Taxi easily picked up on same road including the local bus and Siam park bus. 15 mins by cab from airport or 40 min shuttle transfer

Siam park was literally €6 cab ride if anyone’s planning from here.

We hired motorbikes for a day and parking and use of the local roads were simple and less stressful than we thought. (Highly recommend) We took these up to mount Teide (hour ride) and was sensational.

Round up:
Pros
Air con
Spacious room
Good pillows
Great location
Quiet

Cons
Not a lot for kids
Germans could be quite rude
Locals pack out the place on a weekend
Drinks included in AI - soft drinks tea coffee etc. (They wanted £20pppn for alcohol like branded vodka gin etc) ouch

Definitely would go back

We stayed here for 7 nights, 4 adults and 2 children (11 & 13).
The rooms were good, we were B22&23, overlooking one the pools to one side, and on the other side the road, which could be noisy at times, but mainly from the hotel opposite with their evening entertainment, but only lasted until midnight.
The rooms were very spacious with a balcony and roof terrace. The only negatives on the room was that we only had a cleaner once on the 2nd day (not needed, as we'd just arrived) and the 2nd to last day (bin overflowing by this time). The safe can be hired for €17 for the week, and we also hired a kettle for €3 for the week. Tip: take plastic cups if you like a drink on the balcony, as we only got 2 glasses which were too small for anything.
The food was good. A good selection at each mealtime, although the selection didn't change much through the week, so become repetitive. Some food items would also be cold by the time you sit down. The kids choice were good, pizza, chips, english sausage etc. Drinks were okay, plenty of fizzy drinks available, but the beer (one option) wasn't very nice. All served in paper pepsi cups. The hot drinks machine didn't work on some occasions.
The swimming pools were good, but the lack of sunbeds was a problem. More often than not, we just laid on the floor. People do put towels on the beds early and they aren't removed by staff as suggested in the welcome leaflet. The lifeguards seem to let anything go too, we witnessed kids climbing on to balconies and jumping off into the pool (the bottom pool, surrounded by balconies), not very relaxing sometimes. The games area wasn't managed either, kids would pay for one game and then put empty cups into the pool table holes so the didn't have to pay for further games, and then others couldn't get a turn to play.
Location was great, really near to lots of restaurants and the beach.
Overall, a good hotel, but with little tweeks could be even better.

We spent one week in the hotel, food was great as also selection of the drinks. Breakfast juice was poorly but coffee acceptable. As we visited after closure Every thing was clean, but one of the restaurant was close for the duration. WiFi was only available in public areas, once you enter the room WiFi is gone. They had also gym and laundry room , you had to pay some for washing machine but its great alternative as you don't have to bring huge suitcase of cloths. Staff was great, especially bar, restaurant and animator Jose, who spoke 5 languages and entertained the guest who didn't speak English/Spanish. Food was great, we couldn't help ourselves due to the covid but chefs were serving us with the biggest smiles daily! There was an issue with sunbeds but I'm sure all of the hotels goes through the same issue of people leaving towels at 8am. No problem for us there was a beach withinj the walking distance of 6 minutes and playe de duque in 12 minutes.

Well where do I start, Stayed here for 2 weeks and was so excited to choose this place hence photographs shown on Loveholidays. Oh how wrong we were. But great if you are Spanish, German or French.

This was meant to be all inclusive which we paid healthy for this, food was shocking, chicken, fish, pork, squid etc and plenty of salad, odd occasions chips after we complained and chicken nuggets. Bacon was fried ham made to look like bacon. Everything was the same each and everyday that we started to eat out.

Drinks were from machines that went off at 10.30. In the whole of the 2weeks we had a man playing a saxophone and that was that, so no entertainment.

There was no kids clubs for the British kids that we noticed, but a rep did do fun for the Spanish kids. Not once did a employee come and speak to any of the British. On one occasions the pool employee told the British kids no ball pool activity yet he allowed the Spanish to play ball pool activity. The British were told to get masks on around the sunbeds yet this was not said to their own people, the Germans or French.

So yeh rules for the British (Scottish & English who I am sorry to say, we bring alot of tourism to Spain and spend well for a great holiday) but you just can't treat us like this or cater for us to eat.

To get bed changed you put card on the bed, towels changed every 2nd day and the cleaners always said OLA. ( that was the limited interaction we got which was nice of them).

Tenerife was not the same this time round, very rude people. We got treated better from the lookie lookie people and from the staff at beach restaurants and cafes, than we did at this villa complex.

The place is outdated and parts falling of balconies etc. My Husband was asked when we went to check out as we paid 30euro to keep the room on for late check out, if we enjoyed our stay, he said no, she asked why, he said this is defo not all inclusive and your food is not catered for all nationalities. Rules for some and none for others.

Never thought I would have to sound mean on this review, but I'm being honest, my 1st all inclusive was a holiday from hell. Will we ever return here, NO. and would we return to Tenerife again, doubtful, This was to be a last memory of having a great holiday with our oldest grandson who is joining the navy nxt yr at 18yrs old. Sorry Alfie.

We won't ever go back to this place and too be honest Tenerife which is so sad. We are both in our mid to late 50s and this was to be our oldest grandsons last holiday with his parents and grandparent's, as he goes to the navy nxt yr at 18. Not the best of the last memories made of this for him, even the pool's were dirty and only seen them cleaned twice. Maybe this seems harsh of me to say all of this, but this was a holiday from hell, which I never ever assumed I would have to experience. Room 209 was lovely tho.

Dear guests, we would like to thank you for your stay at the Hotel LABRANDA Bahía Fañabé and your feedback. We apologize if during your stay the service has not been as expected but we have tried to get your satisfaction during your stay, we changed even some things at the restaurant. We couldn't have food only for a kind of nationality, you have to understand that we have a variety buffet 3 stars hotel for all people. Anyway, I was talking to chef several times. I was also talking to animation team to go with your kids but we have an animation program at the reception and the games room where all people can see (in spanish and in english) the schedule for kids (face-painting, mini disco, painting workshop...). In addiction, I know the girls from animation were asking to your kids to go with them. Finally, I really wish all the best to your oldest grandson Alfie. Stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 days. We were on the all inclusive package. Overall we found the hotel to be great, its a little dated but everything is functional. The food was decent enough quality but not a huge amount of variety per day but we only started noticing this in the last couple of days, first three days were good. Breakfast pretty standard, not much variety. Overall its decent food. Drink was good too, they need more staff on at the bar during peak times as it was always just one person serving. Included alcoholic beverages were decent, cocktails, spirits and local beers. I found the staff to be excellent, the older gentleman in the restaurant with the glasses was great and attentive! All staff did a great job despite the weird circumstances. Social distancing is fine, the staff do what they can and its up to the individual to make it work but naturally in a hotel its near impossible to do it all the time while keeping a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Housekeeping could be improved, we only had 2 visits out of the 5 days we were there. Room is well furnished and comfortable with good AC. No beach towels included and no free luggage storage which was strange as usually these are free inclusions for a standard hotel. The entertainment was good too, Jose, was friendly and always would stop and say hello to us and a lot of the other guests. Its adds for a more personal touch which was nice! Only negative is the pool loungers and people reserving them at 8 in the morning with their towels... This should be better monitored as I hardly ever found one free even before the pool opened! Overall we would stay again. Keep in mind this place is very family friendly and during the day there are a lot of kids around! We look forward to coming back to Tenerife and this hotel :D

First impressions when we arrived small hotel in great location 10 minutes from beach ,after a few days of being there ,we found all staff very friendly and worked really hard always had a smile and a "hello" ,
As for the food i found good but seemed to be limited choices ,different meats ( pork. chicken. beef ) along with an assortment of fish . If your looking for a lot of different daytime and evening entertainment you'll be disappointed as the hotel has no entertainment at all ,and if u have teenage children look elsewhere as they will be very board.personally i liked the hotel but good but some night time entertainment would make it a lot better we were all inclusive but found out that you needed to be all inclusive plus to have spirits .surely you should be given the option of upgrading when you book . Which we was not.

Spent the first week of January here as a treat for my boyfriends' birthday (travelling as just myself (F28) and him (M28)). Overall the stay was very nice and pretty much exactly what we expected from what was advertised.

Room: our room was very clean and we were surprised at how big it was. Large bedroom with a separate living space, kitchen, and bathroom. Our balcony looked straight over the pool and restaurant and got all of the afternoon sun so that was a nice added bonus. The only real downside was that our room was fairly close to the delivery door for the restaurant and it was very noisy in the early hours of the morning when deliveries were arriving. We ended up moving the beds into the living area (which there was plenty of space to do) and this solved the issue. On our first day we realised we had no hot water supply to the room, which we reported to reception and they were very helpful and had fixed within a few hours. Cannot comment on the cleaning service as we left the do not disturb sign on the door, but fresh towels/toilet paper etc were ready available from reception.

Food and drink: as you'd expect from a general all inclusive. Good mix of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with some snacks available between lunch and dinner. Only downside I would say was dinner mains were a little limited for myself (vegetarian) but I always found a nice mix and match of things that I could enjoy. We were surprised at how tasty the local rum selection at the bar was and didn't actually end up drinking much else (apart from soft drinks) so we were very pleased with that.

Facilities and entertainment: Pools are very nice and well kept. There is a small games room at the front of the hotel with some pool tables and air hockey to play. There is no official entertainment at the hotel but a few nights there were a few things going on (live sax player, karaoke). We think maybe they are trialling a rep around the hotel as we got involved in a few games around the pool and karaoke. Barbara (the rep) was fantastic and it would be great if these small activities could continue as it really added to the atmosphere of the hotel. When we went the hotel was not too busy so we never had any trouble getting sunbeds or finding a seat at the bar/restaurant. I can imagine this would be much more difficult during the busy summer months as space in the facilities is quite limited.

General cleanliness and covid: We were very impressed with how well kept the hotel is, although the buildings are a little dated you could see the staff working very hard to keep everything clean and presentable. Staff are very on top of ensuring masks are being worn in indoor spaces.

Local area: The local area of Costa Adeje is beautiful, only a 10 minute walk from the beach so the location is perfect. Plenty to do along the sea front both day and night but far enough away to not be kept awake by the noise of it all.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and it was great to finally be able to get away. All of the staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Would happily book here again.

Most limited choice of food I’ve experienced at any all inclusive hotel and the food that was on offer was poor quality (and I’m not a fussy eater). Only a few cocktails were included and an extra charge applied for mocktails. The staff were not very friendly apart from the man on the ‘show cooking’ station who always welcomed you and there was very little atmosphere around the pool. The wifi connection was really poor; it didn’t work around the pool or restaurant area and only worked in a certain area of the hotel room. The rooms are cleaned every other day but ours was missed so we went an extra day without it being cleaned. The room itself was nice with a balcony and roof terrace, so it would be worth it on a room only basis where you’re not planning on staying around the hotel for much of your stay (i.e out on trips) but the all inclusive option is not worthwhile.

The accommodation was great in which we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment, so no one had to sleep in the front room. The inclusive package was great and there was entertainment for a couple of hours each day which kept my teenagers busy. We was able to use the pool which was very import for our family with the small inflatables.
The food was fantastic in which there was Different fish meals everyday chicken and steak. The only thing we missed was the salad bar.
The staff were extremely friendly and all were wearing the masks at all times. Plenty of alcohol gels everywhere.
I have booked up for This hotel next year rather then my normal we go that was closed.

So where do I begin it’s a basic 3 star hotel
You get what you pay for
we had a nice time in the end after meeting some other holiday makers

It’s a nice hotel, it is dated but they make the best of it.
The rooms are clean and spacious. Maids work hard and very polite
The beds are comfortable and the little garden area you get outside the back is a lovely added extra

The food was basic, you pay 3 star you get 3 star food, I went with a fussy eater and she lived on pizza and pasta… there is not much variety with the food there is pizza every day for lunch and dinner!
Always some kind of rice dish and some kind of meat. It was edible though, the cakes and pasties are lovely really enjoyed them

The hotel grounds are very dark! Lights not working so at night can be a challenge getting back to the room
A lot of the lights are broken so watch your step!

The English where deffo treated a lot different to the Spanish holiday makers
Staff are rude to English and definitely favour the Spanish over us

Even when it comes to games and activities english people was always overlooked and left out
One English family went to the manager to complain half way through the week and I must admit that it did make a slight difference.

The animation team started asking if we would like to take part and staff smiled more, reception staff again a bit more polite but still didn’t smile!

Ohhh and no entertainment at night at all!! So kind of boring but we went out on the nights.
Very close to some nice bars and restaurants
Highly recommend Ghandis Indian and Peking Palace Chinese both in walking distance

Some of the other holiday makers are rude too but guess that’s just them!

All in all it was a nice break
Would I go again?
Probably not… but that’s just me

Oh yeah…. If you go on the weekend you will struggle to get a sun lounger by the pool the Spanish come over for the weekend and the hotel is packed to full capacity even meaning that meal times are a bit hectic And pool is really busy
In the week it’s quiet and able to get a sun lounger easy
All inclusive finishes at 22:30, a lot of drinks not included in all inclusive too!
The sangria on tap is lovely

Also recommend going the monkey park was only 13 euros in a taxi there and 10 euros to get in was a nice little morning out

Hello MsPink, some of the alcoholic drinks are included such as wine, beer, some house brands and some cocktails like for example tequila sunrise and love on the beach. The rooftop on a booked apartment is with privacy. With kindest regards, Monika Guest Relations Labranda Bahia Fañabe & Villas

Dear Lydia, yes, there is a difference: a two-bedroom apartment has two bedrooms. That's it. The suite has one bedroom and a staircase to the roof terrace. We look forward to welcome you, Monika Guest Relations
