Lots of good points..... Good position...comfy bed..really nice staff..decent food...reasonable entertainment. Bad points...poor all inclusive...stayed in Self catering unit...was told all fooms were like this. Poolside snacks and sky bar not included. My neighbour and I were given make up stained towels...she was told..a mistake !. I feel this complex is fine for younger families. Many older people found the undulations and awful steps often unlit without handrails.. Difficult to undertake...accidents happened and resulted in some people needing mobility scooters. Lovely pools....none heated.

Dear Linda Thank you for your review & we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Los Olivos Beach Resort. Most people enjoy our AI facility - we are one of the only resorts with a Beach Club for you to enjoy drinks & lunch at no extra cost! Snacks are available in the afternoon in our sister resort a welcome drink offered at SkyBar Margarita's. I do apologise for the make up on towels - although some stains are hard to remove this should not have happened. We have many older guests at the hotel - a simple advisory email before their arrival enables us to allocate an apartment in a suitable position. I have no knowledge of any accidents on site - we assist any guests in renting mobility scooters, not to get around the resort but to move around the Fañabé area with ease. The pools at the resort are in deed heated. Kindest regards, the Director

Property's Favorite Review
Myself, my husband and our 12 Yr old son stayed here for a week mid August. Rooms are great. Almost exact to YouTube promotional video. Surrounding area is beautiful, and just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Food was really good. There are a lot of slops and steps, but apart from that, a really nice resort. We wish we could have stayed longer. Staff were polite and friendly. Overall, as our first trip post pandemic, very impressed.

Decent value for money. Poitives - lovely helpful reception staff, great views especially if you have an upstairs balcony. Great location less than 5 minutes from Playa Fanable yet still quiet. Negatives - poor wifi and pool area a bit cramped round the pool with the sunbeds on top of each other. That said nice pool area subject to that.

Very familiar with the Fanabe area & was surprised when hubby chose this place for his 50th birthday as opposed from usual few places we go to. So on arrival lets start with pros..great location ( we knew), lovely complex, room while small was lovely decorated & ok balcony looking (with glasses on to sea view) without just side street with lots of delivery vans etc coming & going. Housekeeping (when occasionally there), very friendly & good.(I might add fresh towels are treated like gold dust). The cons. When we arrived I mentioned to reception that it would be my hubbys 50th birthday & would it be ok for the few balloons, banners that I provided to be put in our room for a surprise for his birthday 3 days later (I wrote down day, also time we would be out of apt) no problem I was assured, after reception checked with house keeping. Every day I passed reception balloon parcel never left same spot, I did check with reception on day 2 to also say bathroom light did not work & was assured it would be fixed, & rest assured 50th surprise balloons also. Ii have to say every time we passed reception it was always busy with people queuing up with repetitive complaints! That I know after speaking to people...& checking out 7 days later bathroom light never got fixed...& on my hubbys birthday I had to retrieve balloons etc from behind reception because I was told(THEY WERE TOO BUSY)! So I blew up balloons myself in the room & made good the banners. I also sent several e-mails from pool area daytime to complain about the poor reception service... only to be replied by one email requesting I ....go to reception 🤦🏻‍♀️! Yeah if it was not always queued out! This place has such great potential, regretfully, if you never have any issues, problems it is spot on, but if you do, then sadly all faults fall back on reception.. Another note is sparingly towel change, and why when rooms get cleaned you get used towels hung back up & told .towel change later.which did happen, but strange not all done at same time. We stayed under the lovely Margarita bar, beautiful view & nice staff, but wow you would need to be a deep sleeper because seats etc getting dragged across the floor. Possiblity a mention for future bookings to people in these rooms. Our last night was a fight/altercation 10th Nov in above place Margarita which kicked off around 1am. Shouting banging screaming..but I'm pretty sure Basil Fawlty behind the reception desk wouldn't bother about ringing the police. Well just my honest summary of my stay. I do hope room 2004 has their bathroom light fixed by now. I must add WiFi from room to pool was spot on Get reception sorted & this place could really be a contender in Fanabe area! Stairs in abundance so mobility issues could be a problem. Just sad this complex let a 50th birthday down!

Lovely rooms. Some more redecorated than others, so be mindful your room could be dated or only half revamped. Pool bar drinks included in all inclusive but not the food (food and more drinks at next door hotel). Quite a hilly resort with lots of steps, I am unsure how accessible it would be for those with wheelchairs, other walking aids, or even just difficulty walking. The transfer coaches have to drop you off at the top of the road too, which is up quite a steep hill, so this is challenging for most people with luggage. Most staff very friendly - especially one receptionist who checked us in. I didn’t think the los Olivos pool was heated after 1 nov as advertised by Jet2, at least I didn’t notice a difference. Would recommend booking a 1 bed apartment vs a studio, as you gain an indoor dining table and also the roof terrace (very questionable stairs to get to the terrace - terrace has 2 sun beds and a shower - no umbrella). Rooms came with a kitchenette - but unfortunately nothing was provided in terms of cleaning (washing liquid, sponge, tea towel) which seemed odd - perhaps because we were all inclusive. Cleaning services were a little random - we had cleaners visit unannounced or not come at all - changing of linen had to be requested after a week of no change. Huge perks of los Olivos are: 1 its location and 2 access to its sister hotel, Lagos De Fanabe. The location is perfect for access to Costa Adeje, and Playa de Fanabe. You can walk to Puerto Colon and La Caletta fairly reasonably. (We walked to los cristianos too - lovely walk but very long) The sister hotel, Lagos De Fanabe is where the all inclusive buffet is. You also have access to all of their amenities including their pool. Their pool area is more peaceful than Los Olivos, but be warned as it is VERY Deep. The pool bar here is included in all inclusive. Staff at this hotel bar/restaurant were mostly very friendly - special shout outs to Mohammad who is very efficient and friendly, as well as the gentleman I think is the maitre de. The quality of food and selection was sufficient and better than we expected. Dinners were probably the least favourite meal of our days - but breakfast and lunch was very good. Breakfast is very very busy! The evening entertainment was also random - our favourite was an English gentleman whose name we can’t remember. He was great and said he has lived in Tenerife for 45 yrs! Overall a good stay, and we will be returning to stay at Los Olivos.

We just returned from a group holiday 3 families. This was the nicest Hotel we have ever stayed in. Great location. We had an apartment with our own private pool...what a treat. Perfect for our big group. Breakfast was included lots of choice to suit all. Apartment left spotless every day. It is very hilly & lots of steps so maybe not best choice for those with mobility issues.

We booked this as a last minute and overall we were happy with the accommodation. It is in a lovely end of Costa Adeje and really close to Playa Fanabe and a short walk to Playa del Duque which is lovely. The apartment was a little tatty in places, the balcony door did not lock, some lights and switches did not work and just generally older facilities but the rooftop sun terrace was fabulous, even though the steps to get up are a little steep if you have mobility issues you will struggle. We never went to the pool areas at all. Close by to lots of bars & restaurants.

Our initial experience from check-in was chaotic. The receptionist was pleasant but buzzed around a million miles a minute, seemed like customers were taking him away from more pressing matters on his computer. At one point we were waiting to get refunded for towels and there was a 30 min wait in a lobby full of people at 9pm. I would suggest 2 reception staff at peak hours as people were visibly upset. We weren't given proper directions to our room or told that there was a more convenient entrance that would have avoided us having to lug bags around the property in sweltering heat. Wifi barely worked, when we mentioned it we were always told someone was working on it - had to turn on my roaming and use my phone data to check-in for our flights home. Our room was a good size for us and 1 child and the beds were comfortable. However we had little bugs all over the counters from the day we arrived until we left and no AC. The patio was nice and large but only had a small dining table and 4 not very comfortable chairs - a couple of loungers would have been nice. In 9 nights on day 4 we asked for maid service to get new towels and she just rehung our dirty ones from the floor and never gave us more TP. We had half of a roll left at one point, asked reception for more and they only gave us 1 so we had to go ask for more before we left. The pools were nice, it was great to be able to use the adjoining resort pools too. The 20 Euro deposit per towel seems high to me, our resort last year in Mallorca only charged 10. The fire alarms went off twice while we were there, once in the middle of the night and once one morning for quite a while. The walkway leading to our room was constantly full of giant dead cockroaches, one day they were finally cleaned up but there were more only a day or so later - kind of gross. The breakfast was decent (great fresh croissants and fresh omelets/fried eggs) but dinners were poor quality with cold food and poor options so we went out most nights. If you are half board they essentially ignore you and even water isn't included with dinner. If you are staying here I'd suggest only the breakfast option as dinner is not worth the cost. We ended up going out most nights which ended up making our trip cost more than we anticipated, but it was worth it to get some better food options. We asked about parking a few times and said we'd pay but kept being told to try free parking in the area (which is blocks away uphill). We aren't sure what was going on but we never able to park at the hotel. If the garage was full or something we would have just preferred honesty and to be told that. The hotel advertises parking but I feel like it's misleading as we were unable to get parking the whole time we were there; we rented a car and selected this hotel because it said it had parking. We managed to find street parking a ways away or park in a random dirt lot blocks up near the market but it wasn't ideal as we were wasting time every time we went anywhere driving around trying to find a spot. The location is good for access to everything, I didn't know Tenerife was so hilly until we got there so knowing that the "beach resort" wasn't quite on the beach but rather a walk down the hill would have been nice to know - still good location for beach access for area. I think this resort has potential, the location is great and the units are nice but the service wasn't there.

Dear effyes, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry that your experience was not perfect, but glad you enjoyed your stay. It is true that reception gets rather busy at times - it is a very popular resort. With reference to the Wifi, we have recently changed to the system & did have teething problems - all is working as it should be now though. A/C is available in the majority of apartments however those the ground floor have ceiling fans instead, (as per our website), so it depends on the category you reserved. Apartments are cleaned every 2 days & towels changed every 3. The deposit for pool towels increased recently from 10€ to 20€ due to a high number of towels being stolen. As you said, it is refunded at the end of your stay. The resort lies just 200 metres from the beach - so the downhill walk is minimal - there are very few hotels in the area actually closer. We shall certainly take your comments into consideration &send you are warmest wishes.

Before we went, I had read some very bad reviews and we were extremely worried about the hotel. I needn't have worried. We had a Brillant holiday and would thoroughly recommend Los Olivos Beach Resort. We were all inclusive and found the food and drinks really good. All the staff were lovely. The grounds and rooms were spotless. With the all-inclusive you could use the Beach club for free, this included food (if booked at reception the day before) drinks, loungers, parasols. The toilets were 1 euro to use but if you were all inclusive and showed your wrist band, they were free too. There was very good live music most nights in the bar/Restaurant area. We will definitely be returning, to be honest we didn't want to leave! Thank you to all the very hardworking staff for a Brillant holiday.
