Malibu Park Hotel is commended by some guests for its modern atmosphere and cleanliness, with rooms described as basic yet comfortable, and upgraded accommodations providing more contemporary amenities. However, reviewers often cite the decor as uninviting and the amenities, like air conditioning, as lacking. While the service is noted for its friendliness, communication delays are a concern. The location's proximity to attractions is a plus for many, but the hilly terrain may challenge those with mobility issues. Many guests question the hotel's value, pointing to additional charges and outdated aspects of the rooms.

Just returned from a 6 night stay. Room was ok but very basic floor was filthy feet were black if you didn’t wear shoes at all times. Room was supposed to fit 2 adults and 2 children - we had hardly any cutlery 2 forks in the whole apartment and 1 bowl for cereal which was filthy. Every night we had to have cold showers as apparently the boiler only holds 30 litres of water so after 1 shower all the warm water was gone, after several complaints we were told all the rooms were the same which is not the case as my parents were also staying here and had no problems with hot water so much so we had to wash our children in their room.

Location is ok but be aware any walk down to the main resort area and beaches is very hilly. The pool area is really nice and looks newly refurbished the AstroTurf was a very nice touch. The sun beds are the only let down around the pool as most are broken or poorly repaired. The pool bar was really nice. Pool water is freezing far too cold to venture into, we used the beach most days about a 20 minute walk.

We had a one bedroom apartment, which was a good size everything you needed was there. Cleaners were not great we had to use dust pan and brush everyday. The pool area is lovely sun loungers could do with replacing many were broke. The pool bar was ok a good set up for kids providing playstation , pool table ect, it just closed too early sometimes 6pm dont know if it would be the same in the summer season, but it was busy when we was there. The surrounding area isn't good there is a bar called Hemmingways which do decent food but that also closed around 4pm, you would have to walk down into St Eugines center for other bars and restaurants which wasn't a problem for us maybe for anyone with walking difficulties. Overall I don't think we would book here again because of the lack of bars around the complex and the pool bar closing early.

Great complex just limited kitchen facilities in the superior rooms such as no sink, hob or cooker. The room was lovely, spacious and modern. The guest bed wasn't comfy for my 13 and 12 yr old children but the main beds were extremely comfy. The pool area was very clean and pleasant, a heated pool would of been appreciated at the time of year we travelled but most children seemed to brave it!

Just got back from Malibu park.
We upgraded to a sea view apartment,so looked out onto aqualand, these apartments do not get the sun,so apartment was cool all the time.kitchen equipment very sparse, but ok for us ,had a microwave big fridge freezer and cooker, plus iron and hair dryer.
Cleaners didn't come everyday, had to ask for more loo rolls, don't think they cleaned floors at all.
Beds were ok.
Pool area clean and quiet while we were here,no problem getting a sun bed.pool bar ok for snacks ,TV showing football, and games for kids.
Free WiFi code given to you on arrival.
There is a front and back entrance to Malibu park both have a key code to get it.

Nothing much around Malibu park the odd cafe a couple of shops selling the usual, papers bread milk and souvenirs..
Everything is down the hill in St Eugene's,all bars shops restaurants and beach etc.
If you go out the back entrance cross straight over road up path you will come to the restaurant el Molina blanca.(the windmill),then down the hill and you will be at St Eugene's..

We found it easier to go this way .
Not good coming back up if you have mobility problems.

For us it was a 7 minute walk back to apartment..

We found marfils restaurant was lovely, staff food and price,it's opposite the iberostar Bouganville.

Would stay here again as long as I have good mobility.

We stayed at Malibu park for 11 nights in June. It was myself, my partner and our toddler. We had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend the hotel! The pool area was always spotless and there where always plenty of sun beds and parasols, even late afternoon. The pool bar food was a lot nicer than we expected and there was plenty of choice for drinks, ice creams, slushes etc.
The hotel reception whatsapped us most days to see if we needed anything. The cleaning service is by request, we requested a few cleans during our stay via WhatsApp and every time we requested the cleaning service it was done as requested.
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk down hill to the nearest bars and restaurants (San Eugenio) and about 15 minutes to the beach. We also walked into the centre of Playa De Las America’s which took us about 25/30 minutes to get to the Veronicas strip from the hotel.
We visited Aqualand opposite the hotel twice (there is an offer to return a second time for 9 euros per adult) and my son absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend it for a day out.
All in all we had a really great holiday. The hotel was always clean and all the staff we met where really friendly, would definitely visit again!

We booked this apartment after it had been advertised as a self-catering option. We booked a premium room and found it only had a kettle and microwave and not even a kitchen sink. After speaking to reception we were informed there is only 1 premium room that has a cooker and kitchen sink and this was occupied.

The service was quite haphazard - we had to ask for extra mugs etc as we only had 1 in the room and when we checked in we weren't given our room key. The room was only cleaned once the day before we left.

Over the weekend we had young people staying next door who played very loud music into the early hours and banged on our door. We spoke to overnight staff and they spoke to them and eventually they quietened down.

On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious, and the pool area was nice. There are also English TV channels available.

The accommodation is about a 20 minute walk to the beach and restaurants etc, and the walk is hilly/steep.

We had a premium self catering room and the first thing we noticed was there was no cooker/oven the only thing we had was a microwave and a toaster and the kitchen if you could call it that had no space whatsoever and staying for a week on self catering we expected better facilities.

The room was modern and very comfortable but it was not clean. Under the bed and other furniture was very dirty! You had to request the cleaners but we just did it ourselves as the place hadn't had a proper clean in a while so thought we'd do a better job ourselves. There were cockroaches and one in the room we could not find for love nor money and it kept us awake.

Next door was a construction site and we found that out on our first day when the builders started cutting tiles first thing in the morning and as you can expect we were not happy with this arrangement and we were also not told about any work being done next door so we requested a new room. The staff were very helpful and tried there best to find a solution for a better experience, so we moved to a downgraded room 2 days later which was on the busy road and a small pub underneath so it was very noisy but this room did have an oven so we put up with an the other issues (which included a barking dog at all times) the curtains were see through and were too short and small for the balcony door. This room was also very dirty but we couldn't be bothered complaining again and on a plus for this room it did have a washing machine where the other premium room did not.

On a plus note, all staff were very friendly and they had a holding room for our luggage to leave on the last day until our flight was due. The hotel is quite a distance from the beach but not a problem if you don't mind walking

We will not be returning, we still had an amazing holiday but Malibu park needs better self catering facilities and scheduled cleaners to keep the place clean. The staff were really good however and doing their best with what they have to work with.

We have just returned from a week at Malibu Park.
20 minutes in a taxi from the airport. Reception is manned 24 hours.
Receptionist was efficient & we had our cases taken to our apartment for us which was helpful as its a big complex.
Access is via a key card (€10 deposit) that you scan to activate the revolving door so it is all secure.
We had a studio apartment which was very clean, comfortable & the tv had English channels.
All enquiries & cleaning requests during our stay were via WhatsApp which is a great idea.
The pool area was busy every day & the only gripe we had was that as soon as the sunbeds were unchained they were claimed then left with towels on for long periods which meant you’d need to be there at 9am or you wouldn’t get one all day.
The pool was cold but not as bad as some we’ve been in & once you’re in its fine.
It is generally a relaxing quiet place, lots of residential apartments on site, the Splash bar is handy, food is very reasonably priced & tasty otherwise its a ten minute walk down ‘cardiac hill’ into town.
We are in good health & that hill is steep!!! Taxi back up is about €5 from town. The resort itself is lively & a good mix of pubs, shops & restaurants.
We’ll definitely be back!

Stayed here from 7th November, just needed a nice relaxing break. The apartments weren't the best, a bit dated, hard beds. They were quite roomy however and had a balcony to sit on overlooking the sea. Shower was powerful which was good, housekeeping however was a bit hit and miss. I had to message reception via the app which you download when you get there to ask for the room to be cleaned and change our towels, we arrived on Sunday and it was Wednesday when I did this and again on the Saturday just to ask for loo rolls really only because we we were leaving on the Sunday. I just wonder if the room would have actually been cleaned if I'd have not messaged reception. The pool,we went once, as we soon realised the pool bar was closed due to covid, my fiance asked the lifeguard. We feel duped on booking this place as weren't informed of this, we certainly wouldn't have booked here if we would have known this. The place is ok for a basic holiday stay. Dont go if you want the pool bar and good housekeeping.
