We visited Baobab suites this month. It was an amazing experience. The whole trip to Tenerife was stressfull because of the Covid situation, but as soon as we got to Baobab suites we felt safe. The appartment was beatiful , view amazing and an excellent breakfast was served to our room every morning. There were restaurants close by ( we drove, but it was about 5 min distance) open, so we could eat outside. I’m delighted with Baobab suites and I will definitively come back. The staff was so nice, they met all our needs. I have just one recommendation for families with very small children- go for jacuzzi appartment rather than swimmingpool Apartment in wintertime. In swimmingpool water was a bit too cold for our children to swim.
We booked a 4-night stay at Baobab Suites very last minute through secret escapes. The hotel is in a lovely area of Tenerife, and only a 10 minute (although very steep) walk to the beach with crystal clear and warm water, which appears to be popular with locals. We were kindly upgraded to a much larger room with a big kitchen, separate bedroom, and a sun-soaked terrace facing the garden (Divinity Eden). After realising we had been upgraded we asked if we could be moved back to our original, much smaller studio room after one night, as this had a shared pool on the balcony. This was organised for us within a few hours. We had to share the pool with two rooms on either side of us, but we only heard someone in it once, so we basically had it to ourselves. It appeared small at first but was surprisingly large and great to do a few lengths or jump into from your terrace as a break from the 30-degree heat. Both of our rooms were lovely, with massive, comfy beds and lovely walk-in showers. Although the buffet breakfast was closed, we ordered for the next day off a long list of options to be served in our room. We are always nervous when going abroad as we are vegan and it can sometimes be hard to find food. We did not struggle to eat at Baobab Suites at all, with soya/almond milk, fruit, bread, jam, cereal and beans available for breakfast and a beyond burger available in the restaurant or for room service. The bar was also lovely on an evening for a cocktail, and the staff working there were friendly and accomodating. In terms of COVID-19, we felt extremely safe. There was hand sanitiser available all around the hotel, and as with everywhere in Spain, masks are mandatory at all times, even down the street, a lovely change from the UK. We were even expected to wear them to accept room service, which we were happy about. The entire place was extremely clean and hygienic, and as the hotel was quite quiet we had no issues with social distancing. I would definitely recommend Baobab Suites for a stay in Tenerife!!…
A second wonderful stay at the Baobab Suites – even/ especially in these crazy times. Don’t let Covid or quarantine put you off, I felt safer in Tenerife than I do at my local supermarket. It’s worth the quarantine! The hotel has adapted well, with masks worn by everyone and lots of hand sanitiser everywhere. Sadly the restaurant is shut for now, which is a real shame, but the suites are so spacious eating breakfast in them was fine. The breakfast did get a little repetitive, and we missed the huge variety of the old breakfast, but these are unprecedented times, so it really wasn’t an issue. Plus they’d try and accommodate anything extra you asked for (like waffles, bacon and raw eggs so you could cook them anyway you liked). The children’s club was also shut, which again was a shame but expected. The gym and wellness centre are open though. We had a few beauty treatments and they were so, so good. Last year we went half-board, but this year we just did B&B and ate out/ got takeaway every night. There are some really great restaurants around; lots of reasonably priced, good places in The Duke centre down the road, and lovely spots on the beach which were a bit pricier. The staff, all of them, are friendly and can’t do enough to help. We’re already planning our visit next year, and can’t wait to be back. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!…
I have just returned from an 8 day holiday . As soon as we arrived we felt calm and relaxed . This is due to the design of the hotel and the wonderful staff . The room was amazing - we booked a one bedroom sea view with a pool and were given a two bedroom room on the second floor . While we were next to the B.B restaurant this actually suited us as we ate there most evenings - why go anywhere else ... great view , great service ( Naomi and Alexander) and great food . There was so much choice at breakfast and we liked the breakfast box delivery as it was easy to prepare in our room with such a well stocked kitchen . We slept really well each night . It was my birthday and we think the cleaner saw my cards , I was sent some cake and we were offered a drink in the bar - this was a thoughtful gesture . The hotel had to go into lockdown for the last two days of our stay . We were kept informed about what was going on and had to stay in our room . Having a wonderful view and everything we needed in our room we still had a great time . It was sad to see the impact on staff and this lovely hotel and we really hope it can bounce back after all this . We would love to come back one day ...…
Group of four friends just back from a few days staying here and I have to say you could not fault it. Upgraded to pool view room which was great, step out to a big seating area with pool steps away. Food was very good breakfast great. Would highly recommend these suites and we are all looking to come again with family.
