I’m writing this review before we ve even left the hotel! From the moment we arrived we have been showered with first class hospitality ! We ve stayed in every 5 star hotel in the Del Duque Area and have never received such fabulous service from all staff in any other hotel! The food in the hotel is incredible couldn’t wait for the nightly experience of going to dinner also must mention the fabulous musicians who entertained us each evening! Outstanding Hotel !!! Will be returning without a doubt !!!!

Hotel's Favorite
We booked direct with the hotel just before lockdown in March 2020. It took us until September 2021 to actually manage to get out to Tenerife and Kristina in Reservations helped to make this a simple process even when we had to book and rebook due to COVID restrictions. When we arrived we were given the room 645 which was arguably the best suite in the hotel with a panoramic view of the sea- it was exactly what we needed after a stressful year or so. Our room was huge and always kept spotlessly clean by the wonderful housekeepers. The complimentary cava and chocolates were a nice touch. We enjoyed spending the mornings on San Sebastian where we could get a light lunch with complimentary beer and cava served. The pool there was heated which was pleasant and it was never too busy, especially on week days. Every member of staff we encountered was enthusiastic and friendly and seemed happy in their work which is a great reflection on the hotel. The hotel even arranged a nurse to come to the reception to do our PCR tests for our return trip which took the stress out of having to arrange such things. The bar in the evening was great for a bit of entertainment and well spaced out for social distancing- in fact, we never felt uncomfortable at any point during our stay. Location is perfect. Right by the best beach in the area- I would advise turning right not left for restaurants- a more discerning array to be found, we enjoyed La Torre del Mirador and Acanto. Whilst we don't tend to return to places as the world is so big- we both agreed that we would return to the Gran Tacande as it gave us everything we needed and everything we didn't realise we needed too. Thank you to all of the staff who do such a wonderful job.

Really nice Hotel. Rooms are lovely and you soon get used to the bathroom arrangements ! Pools are heated and warm enough to swim in, love the jacuzzi pool, comfortable sun beds. Could clear and wipe the tables by the pool more often. Food was good, half board, fresh juice not carton, and plenty of options for various dietary requirments which I feel is important now. Nice spa which is extra. evening entertainment could be better.

Just returned from five nights at the Gran Tacande. We had a really enjoyable stay in a Deluxe Sea View Room on the 5th floor. Room was large and comfortable. House keeping was first rate. As others have mentioned little strange having the bath next to the bed but not really an issue. Aircon worked well as did WIFI through out the hotel and pool areas. Breakfast offered buffet style with several egg stations and fresh juices. Plenty of choice and i have to say all members of staff were great. We did read with some concern the issue with towels on sunbeds but during our stay we did not find this a problem as there were plenty of free sun loungers. We tended to sit towards the beach end while younger families with babies tended to prefer to sit nearer the pools. Various activities are offered by the pool (ie yoga etc) as well as evening entertainment. We did enjoy "opera night" Other than breakfast we eat out with plenty of choices within walking distance. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and if returning to Tenerife would choose this hotel agian.

Currently staying here for a week on B n B the hotel is lovely and clean and staff are very attentive, we had a few issue in our room the air conditioning is not the best and after reading hairdryer was great well mine in room was broken they replaced next day also shower door wouldn’t shut and that was fixed, but I do have to say this is the worst hotel I have stayed in for sun bed towels been put on there all up hogging the sun beds well before breakfast and then turn up 4 o’clock and take towels there is a sign up saying no reserving sun beds towels will be removed………. This hotel is a great location both from reception and pool gate and there are plenty shops/restaurants close by, rooms are lovely and it is very quiet hotel.

This is our second visit to the hotel and it lived up to the expectations and memories from our first trip. We stayed in a deluxe room with limited sea view, the rooms are big and have everything you require (ladies, don’t pack your hairdryer the one provided is super). The tv has bbc1, bbc2 & itv which is a lil bonus if you want to listen to English tv when you get up/go to bed, sky sports would be nice. I have considered booking the next level room but it’s quite a significant jump in price so I’m not sure if it would be worth it when the deluxe is everything we need. The hotel was fully booked when we arrived and there was no issue getting sunbeds and tables at breakfast. We organised a hire car through the hotel for the day which was an easy process. We were bed & breakfast, you can pay for the evening meal if you wish and on your 4th night the rate becomes cheaper. This might be ideal for those who like a mix of eating in the hotel and some meals out, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from within 1 mile radius. The pool area is nice but the pool floor could do with some maintenance just to maintain a 5* standard, it would be great if one of the pools was heated too. It is a beautiful setting, the hotel grounds are very green which we really like.

We had a lovely stay at Gran Tacande for our Easter break. Can't fault the hotel at all, everything was great. The people in the room next door unfortunately had an unsettled baby who cried through the night, staff were able to move us to a better room without any problem. We'd love to come back some day

Visited this hotel for the first time on recommendation from friends. Absolutely delighted! We took half board which I would certainly recommend. The quality and choice of food was excellent. Good facilities, plenty of sun beds, two good sized pools, adequate entertainment, excellent outside dining facilities and good location. I personally could live without a bath located directly in the bedroom and the bar area adjoining reception was short on seating. These are minor points. Overall excellent and extremely enjoyable.

Early Easter holiday with husband and two 10 year olds. Really can't sing the praises of this hotel enough. The location is not authentic Tenerife but it has everything you need as a tourist. Right opposite a lovely beach, close to lots of good restaurants and near to shopping. A prom right outside if you fancy a walk. The hotel itself is large, spotless with three lovely pools. My children loved the pools. Plenty of sunbeds and clean beach towels when you want them. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. We ate at the evening buffet every other night (very appetising choices) and out at restaurants on the other nights (the hotel concierge desk booked them for us). We had interconnecting rooms with the children which worked brilliantly. The best thing about the the hotel was the staff - super friendly, helpful and professional. The weather in late March / early April was patchy sun / cloud and its always windy in Tenerife! So we didn’t have fantastic weather but it was good enough. If you have kids go to Siam Water Park (a 10 min drive) - so much fun, though you have to be over 1m 25cm to go on most rides. Overall an excellent hotel and holiday. We're planning a return trip next Easter.
