This is a very nice hotel, and the staff are brilliant; friendly and helpful. For the most part the facilitates at the hotel are good, the rooms are clean, housekeeping is very attentive and rooms are quite spacious - even the basic rooms. Of course during the pandemic times, the hotel is restricted in some of its offerings and all guests, along with staff, have to wear face masks when in public areas unless eating / drinking at a table. The hotel has adapted its breakfast restaurant as a result of the pandemic and there is a full contactless experience with the chefs and various food stations; in an effort to minimise unnecessary contract. Regardless the breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices; fresh juices, hot chocolate, an omelette / egg station. All staff preparing food are behind screens. The pool area was not too busy during our stay and there is opportunity to have drinks and food outside too near the pools. Inside the rooms, even though it was clean and tidy, it is clear the hotel is ageing and some things can use an upgrade such as bedding, and chairs. The floor in the room gets very cold so it was disappointing that the basic rooms did not seem to have any slippers, as these were on the housekeeping trolleys and our friends had them in their rooms. I am sure it is possible to request this but never got around to it. Also the room TVs allow you to play movies / videos from your personal devices via a browser link. (It is the first time I have watched TV in a hotel - but the pandemic curfew meant we could not be out too late / early.) The hotel has a happy hour session for drinks in the evenings and during the pandemic times, this was quite good noting the limitations, and the drinks worked out quite cheap. The hotel has very good rules to help protect guests and staff during the pandemic times, and visitors also need to produce proof of a negative covid test. This is good to know. There is also a car park underground which is great if you hire a car. There is a need to pay room rates up front on check in, which is unusual in my experience but it worked out well as I just dropped the key off on check out. I would recommend the hotel, as long as the price is right too! For us the rates were not bad for this quality of hotel, area and inclusion of breakfast in Tenerife but I would not pay too much more.…
We are a bit torn. Staffs are wonderful but we are very disappointed about the food and hotel services in general... It’s not at all a 5 star hotel experience in terms of food or hotel services. Pools were too cold to enter and not a single evening entertainment was provided from Dec 22-26... My kids have mosquito attacks for two days even after my complaints and finally on the 3rd day, they put some mosquito repellent.. room service was almost disgusting:( I am disappointed overall...
From the moment we walked in and were greeted by a wonderful receptionist originally from Poland, we knew it was going to be a good stay. All the staff are great and efficient from the breakfast staff through to the bar staff at happy hour. The room was kept clean. We asked for extra soap which was delivered immediately and at the end of our stay asked for an extension from the midday checkout which was agreed with no fuss. The whole stay was absolutely wonderful
My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton for 3 nights. We were upgraded to a Club Room and found the hotel staff to all be very helpful and attentive. Obviously they are offering a reduced service due to the pandemic and lower occupancy but it still felt like we had made a good choice of hotel. Would have no hesitation in returning here in the future. Thank you Sheraton!!
From the moment we stepped into Sheraton La Caleta we felt welcomed and safe. The security and anti-Covid measures are impressive. Our greeting at reception was warm and professional and this reception team is a credit to the hotel. Time and again they proved to be very helpful. Our Club room was immaculate - and yes, the beds really ARE extremely comfortable! The bottles of water, replenished each day, were a nice touch. The "assisted buffet" at breakfast with its one-way system was well-managed and had a wide choice of food and drinks. But the highlight for us was the Spanish restaurant, La Venta. A limited (at present) but imaginative menu provided us with delicious and varied dinners and drinks. The staff here were superb and the place has a great authentic atmosphere. It was also delightful to stroll through the sub-tropical gardens and have lunch in the pool bar, where once again the food, drinks and service were excellent. In the midst of global turmoil the Sheraton La Caleta was like a tranquil haven and was a real tonic for us. We shall certainly be returning!…
