Playaolid Suites & Apartments is often celebrated for its amiable service that amplifies the guest experience. The hotel buzzes with a lively atmosphere, complete with themed nights and shows, though some guests find certain aspects monotonous. While offering a good value stay, some visitors suggest improvements in entertainment and food quality. The rooms and public areas are mostly commended for their cleanliness, yet a few guests have suggested a need for more diligent upkeep. Its location is deemed convenient, albeit occasionally noisy, and the amenities, including the pools and all-inclusive options, are appreciated despite calls for modernization.

I just stayed in a one bedroom apartment but all inclusive, these apartments are in a really good location only 5 mins from the beach. The food was fantastic!! so much choice something for everybody the breakfasts are the best choice i have ever had it has all the English traditional choices, bacon sausage eggs ect, Also the staff cant do enough for you and work so hard. The bathroom was a wet room so you need to be stable on your legs but very clean and there was a daily room clean with fresh towels.

Spent a week here with family, 2 kids, 3 adults. The hotel is very clean, staff is amazing, all professionals, you can definitely tell, they haven't started this business yesterday, but they have several years of experience behind their back. On our arrival Damian welcomed us at the reception, a gentleman who speaks very good english and very helpful in everything.
The restaurant is spacious and clean, there is always a good variety of cold and hot food, they also have a 'free from' section where surely everyone with allergies or special dietary requirements can find something. Food is always tasty and well presented, special thanks for chefs for the goulash they made, the best so far what we had in a restaurant. Chefs always wear clean uniforms, gloves and they always answer in a helpful and good manner.
The restaurant managers are very helpful, friendly and can crack a joke just when you wouldn't expect them to do. :) we loved them, honestly, they could always bring a smile to our children's face, especially when they were tired and grumpy. The hosts at the restaurant door always greeted us and others too in a professional way and manner, kindly asked everyone entering the dining area to use hand sanitizer. Waiters and waitresses, barmen and barmaids are working mega hard you can tell that. Never had to spend more then 2 minutes at the table with empty plates before we went for our next course, they came to clear dirty dishes just in the perfect time.
Rooms are also very clean and tidy. We had a family apartment that was spacious enough for the 5 of us. Housekeepers always changed all of our towels and bedding even if we haven't asked for it. Thank you very very much for their clean hard work.
There are 2 reasons why we decided to give only 4 stars. The first us that the pool bar where you get your snacks does the same food every day, no other options available.
The second is that the kids club area is only open for short period of time as they have no extra staff available to attend. That would be good because sometimes kids don't want to be in the pool, maybe looking for something different and could be away from the big crowd a bit, especially smaller kids, but I'm hoping when peak season kicks in that will change.
There is always available some sort of an evening entertainment. They were all entertaining and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

The are itself is nice, you are about 5-10 minutes walk from clubs, pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets which are all open till late. The beach is within 15 minutes of walk, clean and you can find entertainment or different activities for yourself if you fancy. Jet skiing, boat trips, etc....plenty option to hire a car or go anywhere.

We definitely recommend this place to families or to anyone who want a nice holiday in a clean and professional place.

Thank you again.

Good Evening Thank you for leaving your review of our hotel, Firstly your good remarks about our staff, food and cleanliness will be passed on to our teams. Our snack bars do always serve the same food options, and we also have special days throughout the week where we serve Paella and a fresh BBQ at the quiet pool. I will pass on your remarks about serving more food types to the chefs as they may think to offer this in the future. The kids club is open 6 days out of 7 from 10-1 and 3-5 for 3-10year olds. We also have a teens club, this is open only in School holidays, times vary but it is usually 2 hours in the early evening. These are the opening hours that the Entetainment director and the hotel have organised together, the statement that ´we have no extra staff ¨ is not the correct information, and i aplogise if that is something that a member of staff has said to you. Overall we are happy that you enjoyed your stay and would recommend us to your friends and family. We hope to see you again. Thank you Kind Regards Claire RRPP

I first visited this hotel back in 2016 and was very impressed then. I’ve not been back since although I’m a regular visitor to Costa Adeje as I like to shop around and get the best value.
I paid a bargain price which I don’t expect to ever find again and was perhaps a little bit fortunate. Sorry if there was a mistake in the booking somewhere!
I reviewed the property after my previous visit and there’s very little to add other than I think they have upped their game even further since then. There have been obvious improvements throughout the complex (especially WiFi) it’s well looked after with cleaning and maintenance staff always on hand.
The food is excellent for the rating of the hotel and the staff are a credit, from cleaning, reception to especially the hard working restaurant and bar staff in the Milennium bar.
If you’re travelling light I would recommend getting the bus from the airport via costa Adeje bus station to Ernesto Sarti where it stops right outside, it only costs €5.60 one way in total.
I will say as I did previously don’t be put off by it’s Trip advisor ranking. I’m shocked it’s still so low but you will see there are very few poor reviews recently.
A final thank you to Claire for dealing with a few queries prior to my stay, if you need to contact anyone before you travel go through their Facebook page. A very prompt and courteous service. Thanks again, I hope to be back soon.

After Thomas cook collapse this was a last minute decision to go to Tenerife instead of a 4 star in Lanzarote and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Playaolid hotel , the hotel was spotless as were the great sized apartments although we had no sea view but it didn't matter on this occasion as I said before it was a last minute decision, The food was great with plenty of choices at breakfast lunch and dinner ,none of us went hungry with wine and beer on tap , although I wasn't to keen on the frozen cocktails ,a bit like slushies but plenty of people seem to enjoy them, there was entertainment on at night such as tribute night karaoke flamenco dancers, not bad at all, the hotel was fairly busy in January and I imagine it would be a bit overpacked at the pools in summer season as the pools are quite small for the size of the hotel , one pool was warm but the other one was freezing. The hotel complex can be a bit confusing at first but we soon found our way around, there are plenty of bars restaurant's near the hotel and a small market on Saturday and Thursday s. The beach is about 10 to 15 minutes away from the hotel but a pleasant enough walk. We went out for a steak dinner on the Friday night at a beach front steak house restaurant and it was first class and very reasonable price I can't remember the name of the restaurant but it was an Argentina steak house. The weather was also fantastic all in all we had a great time. The staff especially the entertainment staff were great . A nice little 3 star hotel and I would definitely go back but not in the summer months but in January or February again.

Booked a 5 night all inclusive short brake with my wife to the apartments. Transfer time was about 45 mins as we were dropped off last. Arrived after the restaurant closed at 9:00 and were provided with sandwiches, water, biscuits and desert in a bag. Drinks were served until 11 so managed to get use of the all inclusive drinks package. We found it a large apartment with a good sized double bed with ample room and storage in the bed room. The bathroom was off the hall which also had a wardrobe and storage. Bathroom was OK clean and tidy with large shower. The main living room was large with a small kitchen which included a microwave, toaster, two ring hob coffee machine, kettle, fridge and sink. We found the cupboards had few plates and glasses but as we were all inclusive did not bother us. There is a large table with 4 chairs a sofa bed and TV in the main apartment. We also had a table and chairs on what we thought was a good size balcony. we asked for a quieter room and were in block 4 overlooking the back pool.Food in restaurant was good with everything you expect for breakfast traditional British and the usual cold meat, cheese, pastry and soft drinks. Lunch and Dinner were the same good selection of meat pasta soups with wine and beer on tap. Over all food was good for standard of hotel. The general cleanliness of all areas out side the room could be improved but overall OK. We only used the pool at the back so cannot comment on middle pool that everyone ques up for think this had most of the activities on during the day and was a livelier area to sun bathe and swim. We did not use the evening entertainment as you are close to many pubs bars and restaurant. After evening meal sat in front bar or lobby before venturing out about 10:30 when the surrounding bars were lively. Overall would give the apartments a good recommendation as we had no problems with any thing on the holiday. Just to add there were plenty of cleaning solutions hand wash at hotel and would not worry about going back to Tenerife with the present heal scare everyone we met talked about it but were not too considered about getting ill. Enjoy your holiday if you are going soon.

Had a fab week at Christmas,23-30 Dec , hotel bigger than I expected. We had an apartment on the 5th floor .. great size , with lounge/kitchen, bathroom with shower , and large bedroom.. cleaned 5 days per week .. on days not cleaned if you need towels just ask at reception. Food was good with a great variety, always something to eat .. we used the quiet pool a couple times sometimes hard to get a bed as people were queuing long before it opened at 10am.. this also happened at the kids pool. Plenty of walking to explore the resorts,
all in all great relaxing holiday, weather fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Don’t expect a 5 star from a 3 star hotel, this hotel does what it says on the Tin! But with a really helpful team of staff!
We are on our last day and have had a fantastic brine away here again.
This is the 2nd time we have visited this hotel, last time was 5 years ago, I can honestly say the Hotel and its staff both visits have been so helpful and welcoming.
Rooms: have a fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster.
Rooms all clean and decorated nice.
Tv with English Channels for kids and adults.
No air con but have ceiling fans.

3 pools: kids plunge pool and 2 main pools with bars.
You can get food around the pool all day, (10-6pm)
Burgers, toasties, hot dogs, chips, onion rings all cooked to order.
Everyone queues to get around the pool as gates are shut until 10am, I think this is to stop people putting towels on sun beds then going off to the beach for the day.
We had no problem getting a sunbed on the days we went round the pool.
All inclusive drinks are all ok.
The only thing that isn’t great is coke and lemonade.
But there is a shop literally next door to hotel which gives 10% off anything you buy if staying at Playa Olid, so you can buy coke etc there and mix with their spirits.

Food: good choice each day, eggs cooked fresh in morning, food all nice and choice is plentiful. can’t fault it really.
We had every intention of going out to eat at night down the front at Fañabe but ended up eating out only once just for a change of scenery.

Mini disco 830pm each evening and adult entertainment after.
Daytime entertainment also very good.

Everyone’s opinion is different and is down to personal experience- I’m just sharing you ours.

Decided to travel to Tenerife for some winter sun and booked via TUI into Playa Olid in Costa Adeje. On arrival we were advised that the evening meal would be finishing soon. We we shown to the left luggage room to leave our cases in order that we could eat before having to check in and so not miss out on our evening meal. Afterwards we were shown to our apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean and contained everything one could want during their vacation. Even got Sky news as opposed to the typical CNN junk. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. In the restaurant there was plenty of choices from salads, cold and hot meals, fruit, cheeses, etc etc. One of us had a “special birthday” while there and the restaurant staff laid on a reserved table and served wines and cocktail for us (over and above the normal - thank you Manuel Gonzalez and all your team. At the bars even cocktails are included in the all inclusive. Sandwiches and ice creams etc are available if you really want to increase your waist band 😱. The travel desk in the hotel books trips at no extra charge than if you do it yourself so it’s best to let them arrange any trips. Loro Parque being a typical day trip. In summary we all agreed we had had an excellent trip. The hotel surpassed our expectations - don’t be put off if some websites say 3 star. It’s a lot better than that and we would definitely return if the opportunity arises.

Stayed here a week over Christmas, I think the main question when staying in a hotel is wether you would go back and I’m glad to say I would.
We stayed in a studio apartment in block 4 ground floor. The apartment was a really good size and had the largest bed I think I have ever slept in. The decor was modern, clean and kitchen was well equipped. There is a couple of pools on site and a children’s pool. One pool is very busy and the other very quiet, so there is options though sun loungers were limited. The pool areas are locked at 18:00 and opened up again at 10:00am, people were queuing from 9:30am fit the best spots.
We stayed all inclusive and it was ok. There is only one restaurant but we found something to eat on the evenings we used it. The quality in general was good and there was always an option, breakfast in particular was good with plenty of options.
The all inclusive drinks were acceptable, beer was cold and wet, wine was palatable and strong, spirits were a challenge but plenty of mixers made it drinkable. The staff are hard working but not the most engaging but very professional. We had one issue which was resolved promptly.
Location wise it is on a hill so access could be a challenge for anyone with walking difficulties. A handy hint us to use the back gate when returning to the hotel as it’s much flatter and eliminates much if the hill at the front entrance, remember though that as the gate is located at the adult pool area it closes at 18:00.
All in all we had a good stay and had value for money.

A party of six , ( 3couples) visited the playaolid for a week and we all said we would revisit . Food was reasonable for all inclusive , breakfast especially lots of choice from traditional English to yoghurts, fruit , cereal , etc . We had a room 4311 overlooking the back pool ( there are 3 pools) it was spacious , clean , with good size balcony which had the sun up until 6-7 pm .Hotel is roughly 15 mins walk into centre of costa adeje ( uphill on way back) . The staff worked tirelessly and couldn’t be faulted . The pool area’s are clean with AstroTurf making it a comfy walk to the pool bar !! Pool area’s don’t open until 10am so no towels laid out early , though people are queuing from 9am . My concern would be the lack of space / sun beds in the busier months . All in all nice winter sun break enjoyed by us all .
