The restaurant is spacious and clean, there is always a good variety of cold and hot food, they also have a 'free from' section where surely everyone with allergies or special dietary requirements can find something. Food is always tasty and well presented, special thanks for chefs for the goulash they made, the best so far what we had in a restaurant. Chefs always wear clean uniforms, gloves and they always answer in a helpful and good manner.
The restaurant managers are very helpful, friendly and can crack a joke just when you wouldn't expect them to do. :) we loved them, honestly, they could always bring a smile to our children's face, especially when they were tired and grumpy. The hosts at the restaurant door always greeted us and others too in a professional way and manner, kindly asked everyone entering the dining area to use hand sanitizer. Waiters and waitresses, barmen and barmaids are working mega hard you can tell that. Never had to spend more then 2 minutes at the table with empty plates before we went for our next course, they came to clear dirty dishes just in the perfect time.
Rooms are also very clean and tidy. We had a family apartment that was spacious enough for the 5 of us. Housekeepers always changed all of our towels and bedding even if we haven't asked for it. Thank you very very much for their clean hard work.
There are 2 reasons why we decided to give only 4 stars. The first us that the pool bar where you get your snacks does the same food every day, no other options available.
The second is that the kids club area is only open for short period of time as they have no extra staff available to attend. That would be good because sometimes kids don't want to be in the pool, maybe looking for something different and could be away from the big crowd a bit, especially smaller kids, but I'm hoping when peak season kicks in that will change.
There is always available some sort of an evening entertainment. They were all entertaining and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
The are itself is nice, you are about 5-10 minutes walk from clubs, pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets which are all open till late. The beach is within 15 minutes of walk, clean and you can find entertainment or different activities for yourself if you fancy. Jet skiing, boat trips, etc....plenty option to hire a car or go anywhere.
We definitely recommend this place to families or to anyone who want a nice holiday in a clean and professional place.
Thank you again.
I paid a bargain price which I don’t expect to ever find again and was perhaps a little bit fortunate. Sorry if there was a mistake in the booking somewhere!
I reviewed the property after my previous visit and there’s very little to add other than I think they have upped their game even further since then. There have been obvious improvements throughout the complex (especially WiFi) it’s well looked after with cleaning and maintenance staff always on hand.
The food is excellent for the rating of the hotel and the staff are a credit, from cleaning, reception to especially the hard working restaurant and bar staff in the Milennium bar.
If you’re travelling light I would recommend getting the bus from the airport via costa Adeje bus station to Ernesto Sarti where it stops right outside, it only costs €5.60 one way in total.
I will say as I did previously don’t be put off by it’s Trip advisor ranking. I’m shocked it’s still so low but you will see there are very few poor reviews recently.
A final thank you to Claire for dealing with a few queries prior to my stay, if you need to contact anyone before you travel go through their Facebook page. A very prompt and courteous service. Thanks again, I hope to be back soon.
all in all great relaxing holiday, weather fantastic. Will definitely be back.
We are on our last day and have had a fantastic brine away here again.
This is the 2nd time we have visited this hotel, last time was 5 years ago, I can honestly say the Hotel and its staff both visits have been so helpful and welcoming.
Rooms: have a fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster.
Rooms all clean and decorated nice.
Tv with English Channels for kids and adults.
No air con but have ceiling fans.
3 pools: kids plunge pool and 2 main pools with bars.
You can get food around the pool all day, (10-6pm)
Burgers, toasties, hot dogs, chips, onion rings all cooked to order.
Everyone queues to get around the pool as gates are shut until 10am, I think this is to stop people putting towels on sun beds then going off to the beach for the day.
We had no problem getting a sunbed on the days we went round the pool.
All inclusive drinks are all ok.
The only thing that isn’t great is coke and lemonade.
But there is a shop literally next door to hotel which gives 10% off anything you buy if staying at Playa Olid, so you can buy coke etc there and mix with their spirits.
Food: good choice each day, eggs cooked fresh in morning, food all nice and choice is plentiful. can’t fault it really.
We had every intention of going out to eat at night down the front at Fañabe but ended up eating out only once just for a change of scenery.
Mini disco 830pm each evening and adult entertainment after.
Daytime entertainment also very good.
Everyone’s opinion is different and is down to personal experience- I’m just sharing you ours.
We stayed in a studio apartment in block 4 ground floor. The apartment was a really good size and had the largest bed I think I have ever slept in. The decor was modern, clean and kitchen was well equipped. There is a couple of pools on site and a children’s pool. One pool is very busy and the other very quiet, so there is options though sun loungers were limited. The pool areas are locked at 18:00 and opened up again at 10:00am, people were queuing from 9:30am fit the best spots.
We stayed all inclusive and it was ok. There is only one restaurant but we found something to eat on the evenings we used it. The quality in general was good and there was always an option, breakfast in particular was good with plenty of options.
The all inclusive drinks were acceptable, beer was cold and wet, wine was palatable and strong, spirits were a challenge but plenty of mixers made it drinkable. The staff are hard working but not the most engaging but very professional. We had one issue which was resolved promptly.
Location wise it is on a hill so access could be a challenge for anyone with walking difficulties. A handy hint us to use the back gate when returning to the hotel as it’s much flatter and eliminates much if the hill at the front entrance, remember though that as the gate is located at the adult pool area it closes at 18:00.
All in all we had a good stay and had value for money.
