    ...As with all package holidays, you are never allocated the best rooms over looking the pool or the beach but our room had a pleasant view with a North facing aspect and a side view of the sea. It was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable... The room was serviced every day and towels were changed on request as was the bed linen.The bathroom was very spacious and sported a huge six foot mirror and his and her wash basins...

    ...The downside was the room, near a lift, opposite a road and above the breakfast buffet, the sound proofing around the room (doors etc) was really poor so never had 1 solid sleep due to trolleys going to the buffet early morning, road noise was only sporadic but at 3am its enough to wake you, I honestly checked the sliding doors every morning as I thought I'd left them open... If you don't get a high floor and pool room you might not get a good sleep...

Safe was free in room, kettle provided... A few evening they had a film on in another room for kids which was good for the older ones my son enjoyed it when then tenors played...

    ...We have been staying here since 2014 and while a lot of public areas have been refreshed the rooms don't seem to have had the same attention. We stayed in the same room this visit as we had earlier this year at my request and seen and smelled a real decline in it... I didn't ask to be moved because I'd requested the room due to its location to the lifts... I will stay again but had to drop it to 4/5 stars for the room and it took me 4 trips to reception to have the coffee replenished in the room... I do hope they revitalise the rooms because its a lovely place to stay...

    I stayed at this hotel as a party of 3 friends in December... The rooms are big, plenty big enough for 3 adults in one room... Beds huge, bathroom huge, v clean... We booked a standard room but emailed the hotel to enquire about an upgrade to a pool view after lots of reviews recommended them... They said it was €12 per person per night... We decided not to and believe me we are very glad as our room was great!... I feel like this hotel is 90% full of over 70s!...

Bad points, Rooms desperately need upgraded, they are old and worn and past it, maybe 5 star 10-20 years ago but not now... Room layout is bad, with hardly any plugs let alone USB points at the side of the bed, However it is the rooms that really let everything down, everything else i can accept, its just the rooms are so needing upgraded, epically as its advertised as 5 star I would defo go back though, the good points out way the bad, but this is because i can judge my experience on only paying less than £600 pp both times i have gone, if i had paid £1000 for a week here, i would be upset and could not recommend it...

    Prior to our arrival we emailed the hotel to request interconnecting rooms. On arrival we were informed that because they were interconnecting one of the rooms had a double bed... We are 4 mature ladies so didn’t want to share a bed... Christina on reception was amazing and managed to swap these for two rooms on the same floor just a few doors apart... Our cases were taken to our rooms which was a lovely touch... Rooms are a great size with a really big bathroom... We handed in our room and towel cards and we were told we had an outstanding amount of just over €10 Euros to settle on room 5... We explained we weren’t in room 5 but 105...

    We stayed at the Gran Costa Adeje all inclusive for 11 nights... This is absolutely NOT a 5* hotel and there is no way that this is should be a TUI platinum hotel... It is shocking for the money we paid to feel suffocated by the heat everywhere in the hotel... God help the couples with babies... • Despite being a ‘5* hotel’, we had no water in our fridge upon arrival or at any point during the stay... • Good luck finding a sun bed around the main pool...

    ...On our last day, we returned to our beds only to find our towels and belongings gone with a stupid note stating no reserving sun beds... I complained at reception only to be read the rules that didn’t exist the past 4 days and don’t exist after 10am as approx 25% of the beds are now unoccupied with towels on which makes this hotels policy flawed, ridiculous and stupid, like the pool staff who smiled at me when collecting my belongings... Because we’ve been treated like this we won’t be coming back... Our party of 12 was going to re-book this hotel next year (as we have done before) but we won’t be coming back... There are more sensible, better hotels in the area... This hotel has lost my party’s business...

    ...We were all inclusive and compared to other all inclusive hotels in Tenrife this wasn't one of the better ones and was expensive... The Adults only terrace was brilliant and so quiet but again despite there being a freezer we were told no ice-cream unless you paid or walked to main pool bar where it was free......ridiculous... Otherwise entertainment was OK. Had a fabulous time with friends bit wouldn't recommend this hotel...

    I am going to give a full and honest review for all those people ready to pay alot of money to stay at this hotel... Now for the bad news we went fully All inclusive and were shocked to find that we had to pay extra for certain drinks for example a pink gin was extra 6 euros and many other drinks were charged for so you are limited to what you can have without paying extra... The same goes for the bar at pool some food free some charged for so was not happy with that also the cocktails were not the real thing... All the Extra charges for food and drink is a let down as if we had been told we would have happily paid Extra to have everything included in the price...

The wine in the restaurant along with the whole hotel wine is undrinkable ( £1 a bottle stuff) I did ask if I could upgrade for a better one but wasn’t possible...

The coke doesn't taste like real coke and the pina colada was rubbish... There is very little 'all inclusive, choices and plenty of options to pay extra for... We are paying a premium to be here due to the time of year but it is definitely a pity we moved from the last hotel... A disappointing start to 2023 considering the money spent...

We spoke to several other guests who said they regretted paying for all inclusive as it was so rubbish and like us, they were eating out every night as the food was awful... The place needs to be regraded before others are under the illusion they are staying in a luxury resort...

    Great hotel and this was my fourth time of staying (in recent years). The pool on the roof for over-18's only is greatly appreciated and the monitoring of folk putting towels down very early was too... We also had our room serviced everyday nice and sharp which was greatly appreciated by us and it was always with a smile... Sheets and towels were replaced as necessary with no issues...

Meals are served in the Finca self service restaurant which again had a bright, light and airy feel... The beds were really comfortable, and we always got a good nights sleep, we were never disturbed by the sound of the road (It wasn't too busy on an evening) The bathroom was ideal, 2 hand basins a bath, and overhead shower... The soap, bath gels etc were replenished everyday if needed... The grounds of the hotel were amazing, it was immaculate, Water features and live shrubs/plants along the open corridor were splendid...     We go to Tenerife 3/4 times per year and made sure we came to this hotel this time and we enjoyed it that much we rebooked whilst staying there . Full hotel kept absolutely spotless , rooms done perfect everyday also hats off to housekeeping staff... Bar staff and restart lovely also ... A massive shout out to the animacion staff esp our wee pal Ruben with the man bun hat a guy and the staff have so much energy and are so welcoming I thought being in your face constantly so thank you ... Hairdryer , kettle and everyday supplied with shampoos, body lotions and bath gels... Can I also say reception staff esp angelo top guy along with the rest of staff once again will help you with anything...

The restaurant service is excellent, all the waiters & chefs were very friendly & helpful... We enjoyed the Pool Bar & again the service was faultless, but the AI food choices were limited with most items only available at a 100% charge, surely they should be discounted to AI guests when we’ve already paid a supplement towards the costs...

We have stayed at many of the hotels in Adeje and Playa over the years and this is the first time we have ever awarded 5 stars... The elements that placed it apart were sun beds that were extremely comfortable, with thick foam covers, a swimming pool that was truly heated and available from very early (pre breakfast swim was perfect for us) and staff that were clearly well trained... Almost everyone you passed, Cleaners, Waiting Staff provided eye contact and an acknowledgement... This is a large hotel and yet the staff managed to create a small hotel atmosphere – impressive... Food was up to standard and the hotel coped well with the large numbers being catered for... Kettle and Makings provided and a Safe with no irritating extra charges!... The bathrobes were a nice touch and great for our morning swim!... Again, plenty of staff so drinks service was fine, although I tended to go to the bar rather than wait for table service... A welcome touch was holding the children’s disco in the smaller, dedicated showroom in parallel with the Bar Hall Acts... Anyway, we have booked a return visit for February, which is probably the best endorsement we could provide...

    Prior to our arrival we emailed the hotel to request interconnecting rooms. On arrival we were informed that because they were interconnecting one of the rooms had a double bed... Christina on reception was amazing and managed to swap these for two rooms on the same floor just a few doors apart... Our cases were taken to our rooms which was a lovely touch... The staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and we truly got looked after... The removal of towels if beds are saved early then left empty is fantastic and stops selfish people reserving them before going for breakfast... Service was always good and drinks served in lovely glasses... We had the misfortune to be served by Kelly on reception... We handed in our room and towel cards and we were told we had an outstanding amount of just over €10 Euros to settle on room 5... Kelly has obviously never received the same customer care training as Christina as she has such a bad attitude...

I had difficulty getting it to work and reception sent someone to fix it for me and I was informed there was a ‘knack’ to using it, you have to lift both levers at exactly the same time (so you must ensure you have the correct temperature and force before turning on) have never experienced this before but was made to feel I was the one with the problem and not the shower .... We were half board but changed from evening meal to lunch so we could dine out... The friendly staff are what make this hotel, the restaurant staff were all so friendly and helpful (special thanks to Racquel at the fruit section who got me avocado even though it wasn’t displayed) We enjoyed the aqua aerobics every day, the team were very good...

    From the minute we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, this continued throughout the stay... People reserving sun loungers did have towels and belongings removed by hotel staff at 9.45 ish if it was unattended, personally I think this is great and enjoyed watching the selfish people having their towels taken... There were plenty of clean towels everyday...

    Stayed here for a week all inclusive at start of September... Be prepared to queue as usually only one staff member serving & one staff member ‘Guadalupe’ is extremely rude, don’t bother asking her what kind of cocktails they do she’ll tell you to look at the app... So you have to download the GF hotels app in order to book lunch & tea at the buffet and there will be a list of what drinks, food etc is available at the bar...

From the second that we walked through the door on arrival everyone went out of their way to make sure that our holiday was perfect... The gym is good with sufficient decent equipment for most people...     ...Good points, Hotel is clean... Location is excellent if you are B&B with the duke next door you have great food options, and a short taxi away gets you loads of options... Reception and that whole area is really nice... Good and free entertainment in bar area at night... Breakfast was good - can get busy at times though... WIFI is very poor, very patchy, i complained several times and was put on different WIFI but would not work in my room or that area 2nd floor Bathroom needs work, shower is one of those connected to the taps, but was lose and wobbled, and the taps would run when you where trying to get a shower... Hotel as is, is not 5 star, if it was not for the excellent pool area, in the main helpful staff, great location etc i would rate it 3 star, but everything as a whole takes it to 4 start imho...

    We had a very good experience at the GF Gran. The hotel is a little bit dated but we knew that when we booked, small things like the shower being over the bath and the key cards not working a lot of the time, other than these small details the overall experience was very good, most of the staff are very friendly... We had a booked a pool view room which is good value... We booked the massage and spa for an hour and this was money well spent, very enjoyable... The breakfast buffet was pretty good... We ate at the Aquila, outside pool bar area just the once for lunch and it was just about OK... The area around the hotel is nice and close enough to beach and restaurants... The room was very comfortable with plenty of hanging space,and with an internal dividing door between hallway and bedroom , there was little or no noise at night time, which was great... Not being able to hog sun-loungers from the wee hours was great too , we went down to the pool at varying times and had no problem getting a couple of sun-loungers...

    ...We have just got back from our trip, on arrival you are certainly wowed the reception area is beautiful and open. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful... The pool area is fantastic starting to look slightly tired but we could see some work going on during our visit, after covid we completely understand you cannot shut a hotel during busy periods to carry out repair work we didn’t struggle to get a bed once and we arrived at all times in the day during our stay, entertainment staff are friendly and funny we enjoyed the aqua gym and aqua bike... I would never recommend all inclusive for anyone’s stay, all inclusive should be everything but to have to still look through menus at what you can choose to have I find shocking, I would suggest maybe the hotel to offer drinks packages like you might find on a cruise , the buffet food was okay not always warm the booking system is confusing when half the people were not using it, however the staff working in the dining hall are a credit to the hotel they could not do enough for you, the amount of running around we witnessed, they deserve a lot of recognition however pool bar staff could be rude at times, Main bar at the reception is hit and miss entertainment at night is a mixture for all ages, I would Recommend euphoria that show is incredible, all inclusive finishes an hour before the bar closes when we went up to the bar unknowing of this at 12 we were rudely spoken too after being ignored by 5 staff members before hand, a tip to the staff just because you look at the floor doesn’t always mean you haven’t made slight eye contact...

Although AI customers get a discount, I think maybe AI should get one evening meal free of charge for their stay... For the price of the hotel I would have liked a slide or two for the kids... •Better snack bar menu (to reflect 5* rating) •Salt and Pepper on tables •Coffee/milk replenished in rooms...     ...In the rooms (which were ok, slightly dated, but at least had clean linen and mainly clean towels), do not expect any tea, coffee etc to be replenished after you have used the couple of teabags (vile by the way) as they aren’t! You have to ask at reception numerous times for them to replace the 2 teabags or 2 sachets of coffee you may have used!... The pool (Unheated one) is desperate for a proper refurbishment as the floor is absolutely awful and has been bodged up to repair it in areas... On the plus side, the reception area is very impressive and the reception staff were quite friendly...

We usually came down after breakfast about 10 and there were loads of beds left in great spots... Evening entertainment in lobby bar was excellent... Great location, a stone’s throw from beach, local shops and great restaurants Not so good!... I would avoid all inclusive next time as drinks not expensive and you are not tied to eating in restaurants all the time... We found some fantastic great value places very near by...

    Do not be put off by negative reviews, this hotel is excellent... They are above average in size, spotlessly clean and have a comfortable sitting area with various views depending on your preferences and budget... The food choices are amazing and cater for all tastes as do the other wide ranging facilities... If you want a treat with waiter service try the up market restaurant La Laga where you will get a discount depending on your board status...

    Welcoming and efficient Reception staff... Furnishings were rather dated & sanitary ware in the bathrooms was also dated, along with the floor tiles... Two basins and a door separating the toilet & bidet was a nice touch... Twice I requested a rubber mat for inside the bath to stand on... Not many sachets of tea or coffee in the room... My friend had to ask three times to have tea & coffee in the room... Food was excellent and the buffet more than adequate... We were all inclusive & the wine was good quality and the spirit alcohol was in branded bottles...

    ...No snack bar round pool area (previously was one) Table service at the bar very poor, at one point there were four staff members stood chatting at bar area and we were still waiting to be attended too, even though some of them had walked past us, so I went the bar and got served myself, but staff behind bar do not seem to have any urgency about them..     Stayed here for a week all inclusive at start of September... Pools are decent size but watch your feet on the bottom as peoples feet were getting cut... Snack bar ok selling your usual burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches & fruit salad bowls... So you have to download the GF hotels app in order to book lunch & tea at the buffet and there will be a list of what drinks, food etc is available at the bar...

Just back home from 10 days at the Gran (Nov 17-27) and am really pleased to say we had yet another wonderful holiday there. The Gran certainly lives up to it 5* status. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel foyer is vast, gives a real feeling of space and is very picturesque. The buffet restaurant, La Finca, has a large variety of different foods, not all of which was to our taste but we could always find something that was enjoyable. At dinner, the show cooking was excellent and the freshly prepared pasta dishes (made to your personal choice) were delicious. Outside around the two pools there are plenty of sun loungers so there is absolutely no need to try & reserve them although some people still try to do that before 10am and quite rightly get their towels removed. The loungers are very comfortable, are cleaned daily and the hotel provides as many towels as you need for use at the pool and for the loungers. On this visit to the Gran we noticed that in the area outside the main bar, no smoking signs have been put up. Whilst smoking in that area has always been prohibited it was largely ignored in the past so it was good to see that some action has been taken although not always properly policed. For the smokers & vapers there is an adjacent area where they can indulge their habit. An area that the Gran could consider for improvement is the AI provision. Whilst some cocktails are included, there is a charge for the likes of a Mojito and a Harvey Wallbanger. Of course no-one would expect 25 year old Macallan to be included in the AI but there is some scope for improvement. Having already said that this is a wonderful hotel, what really makes the Gran truly outstanding is its staff. Each and everyone we met was helpful, cheerful and very friendly. It may be wrong to highlight individuals but some really do deserve special mention. A big shout out to Claudia and Yngrid at the pool bar (although I believe Claudia was moving to a different role in December and we wish here well in that), Eddy who had a great sense of humour (pretty damned good for a 2nd language), we really enjoyed the banter. Moises at the main bar is an absolute legend. Finally Stella at the restaurant La Finca, just brilliant!

Excellent hotel Stayed for 10 nights at end of November Weather was ok but not brilliant Rooms are spacious with plenty of space for hanging clothes Safe is free whilst bit complicated Cleaned every day Balconies arent massive but acceptable We stayed in 162 and first floor balconies have stone front which doesnt allow any sun in so avoid first and 5th floor if possible Entertainment was ok with 3 of the 10 nights really could especially 3 girl group and Elton John tribute But too many circus type acts for my liking Restuarant is spacious and the range of food was excellent Different theme most nights but choice was plentiful and varied and as a fussy eater I had plenty of options Breakfast was always multiple choices to choose from with onellette lady on the ball Reception was always helpful when required Lots of pool areas and plenty of beds although as I said weather wasnt brilliant Overall excellent hotel and well worth extra you pay to stay her

Forget this is an impressive hotel, forget it has good position, forget that it is peaceful and relaxing, forget even that I have never struggled to get a sun lounger at any of its several pools - the main thing about this hotel is its staff. From arrival to departure the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. (Even to we lame brains who leave our wallets in the dining room!) The animation team are hard at work entertain old and young - open for a laugh and trying their best with both day time and evening entertainments. The bar staff are simply great and, once you know them, always remember that one drink you like! Dining staff look after you really well (- and even pick up your lost wallets!). Reception have sorted minor niggles and upsets alike with an efficiency and friendliness that make you feel wanted. As for the cleaning staff - they work incredibly hard and are unsung heroes in my book. Above all else, forget the negative reviews, this is a good hotel, it offers a restful break and most people are very happy - and want to come back. What more needs saying!

just returned from our 5 th visit to this lovely hotel,first of all I have to say all the staff are wonderful,and very friendly as always.Arrived about 5pm usually got welcome drink,but not this year,was always a nice touch,I thought.Check in smooth,rooms still the same a little dated,but very spacious with all your needs including safe and small fridge,entertainment at night varied and very watchable,although drinks I feel pricey,also 4.5 euros for house wine which was not very nice Food I felt not as good as previous years,but varied menu so plenty of choice,that said the hotel still has got that something, that makes us want to return so we have booked again for June hopefully the staff are still as welcoming as always,I’m sure they will be.

Luxurious Rooms, fabulous pool area, half decent gym, food a bit repetitive. Loved our Room. Very good size. Super clean and fantastic bedding. Nice blackout curtains too. Huge bed and a proper "matrimonial bed with plush pillows". Really an amazing standard and what every guest should expect from a 5 and a 4 star hotel!! There was an adults only bathing section on an upper level for anyone who didn't want to hear the noise of kids shouting or crying or running about. Unfortunately, some selfish parents did not respect this, nor was it enforced by the hotel so there were children in the adults section. Location is lovely. Would be good for anyone wanting v to be way from the hustle and bustle and max night life. Playa del Duque is close by with fab restaurants. Gym opening is too late. People want to use it from 7am. But you couldn't use it until after breakfast. Very strange. Basic gym. Needs updating for a 5 Star hotel. Considering it gets alot of use. Staff on reception were great!

Just had a wonderful week at this lovely hotel. It is located in a quiet area of Costa Adeje, but within reach of the beaches and coastal path as well as restaurants. The hotel staff were great. So hard working and with a smile at all times. The food in the restaurant is great, with always something available for all tastes. We always got a sunbed at any time of day. The only thing that has stopped me giving it 5 stars is that the rooms really need updating. I'm sure they were great in their heyday and very classy, but they are looking a bit tired, with chipped wood and tarnished brass. That said, the rooms were spotless and the bed very comfy. We were a bit nervous following previous reviews about air con, but we had no issues. Would I visit again? Definitely.

100% recommend this hotel! We went as a family and it was brilliant. The rooms are lovely and cleaned every day. The food was brilliant, different themes each day as well as pastas, pizzas, veg, chips, salad on offer every day, plenty of choice! It’s a short walk down to the beach (quite a big hill but it’s not far) you really don’t need to leave the hotel at all though. Four pools including a shallow kids pool which was perfect for us to sit on the sunbeds and be able to watch the kids in the pool. Would 100% go back to this hotel 😊

First visit last November and returned again this year. Only negative is the rooms, although very clean, they need updating. Hotel is impressive and spotlessly clean throughout. Pools are very clean. All staff from reception to cleaners are very friendly, helpful and well presented. Food is delicious and so much to choose from - restaurant staff are always cleaning and wiping around. We went into la laja restaurant (paid supplement) and although food very good the service this time was very poor, we waited 20 mins for our bill - there needed to be more staff on duty. The night time entertainment on the whole is 1st class and plenty of seating. The animation team are absolutely fabulous!! They are all so friendly and funny, we did nothing but laugh all the time we were there and our special friend Ruben is just so funny and brilliant - would've love to have brought him home with us!! The team are pictured - Ruben, Samuel, Elsa, Alex and Alvero. Hope to see you all again soon!!

The hotel overall is very tired. Rooms/bathrooms are very dated, small, bed is not great and TV is not smart so no YouTube or casting when getting ready. General areas are shabby and need a significant effort to bring it to 5* standard. Pools are ok but loungers are packed in quite a lot. Breakfast was fine with sometimes nice bacon but can get very busy at popular times. Our room door was left open one day after the cleaner had been in and we were out all day which was frustrating as anyone could have just walked in. Also seen maids knock on doors and 2 seconds later just open the door and walk in! Would I stay here again? No unless there is a big refurbishment first.
