HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel: The sea view is what characterizes the hotels of the family business HOVIMA, which can boast of the best locations facing the sea and unique dining experiences. In them you can experience unforgettable emotions in Costa Adeje, a privileged place in Tenerife for its climate, beaches and wide range of leisure. Service is the passion of HOVIMA, a chain that is committed to offering the customer the highest level of hospitality and, above all, friendliness. HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel was built in 1987, has 229 apartments distributed over 5 floors. Having remained closed for 4 months for a complete reform and with a millionaire investment, it reopened its doors on August 10, 2017. Great attraction is its proximity to Puerto Colon, with direct access from the pool area to the family beach “Playa La Pinta";. Its charm is the spectacular views of the neighboring island of La Gomera and the ocean, which can be enjoyed in every corner of this bright hotel. It is therefore not surprising that the theme, which can be seen throughout the complex, is dedicated to the marine inhabitants. Proof of this is the impressive 3D mural, representing all the cetaceans and fish that live in the sea, in front of the hotel. Quite an adventure for the young and old. You can witness this with a boat trip. The largest virtual and interactive aquarium in the Canary Islands is located in the Lobby with its large living area and reception. The Project Ocean Window - to raise awareness of the environment - reducing plastic and organic waste and renewable energy - runs like a guideline through the entire company. The hotel offers a buffet-restaurant and 2 bars. For the very special evening during your stay in the hotel, make a reservation in our specialty restaurant, where healthy and tasty dishes are prepared on the spot. Enjoy the sunset with a healthy cocktail (made with natural juices) on the chill-out terrace, overlooking the ocean. The spaciousness of its cozy and modern apartments, make this hotel the ideal place to escape and enjoy a pleasant stay. In the upper floors are located the “Apartments Excellence"; with its unique sea views, all designed and equipped with facilities and services to provide maximum welfare to guests. If you are travelling with small children, you have the possibility of booking a “Family Apartment"; which consists of a bedroom specially designed for the joy of minors. These units have direct access to the swimming pool area, children's area and/or garden. We have different mini-clubs (depending on age) for children/adolescents. Our baby-club is the ideal place where special attention is brought to the toddlers. Here the youngest once will be attended by specially trained staff. The team of animators with an extensive day and night program entertains children as adults. HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel, an unforgettable experience for the whole FAMILY.

HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel garners appreciation for its spacious, clean rooms and exceptional cleanliness throughout, including daily room servicing. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers easy access to beaches and local attractions, enhancing its appeal. While the atmosphere buzzes with lively music and entertainment, some guests suggest the noise can intrude into the night.
The amenities, particularly those catering to children, are a hit, though occasional maintenance issues are noted. Service is predominantly commendable, but opinions on value and noise levels are mixed among travelers.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Hovima La Pinta for ten nights between 24th of July and 3rd August. Travelling to another country in the current climate made us very apprehensive, especially as we were with our children but this hotel could not do enough to accommodate us and make us feel very safe and welcome.
We noticed there was constant cleaning going on all the time, guests were not permitted to touch anything and everything was served to you including sauces. The hotel I believe was running at around half capacity so it was very easy to get sun loungers and be able to social distance from other guests.
We stayed in a Supreme room on a half board basis, we ate our meals at the hotel for breakfast and lunch (this can be done with 24 hours notice) by my own admission I am a very fussy eater, I am very particular about the way I have my food and can honestly say I never struggled to find something I didn’t like. There was just one day when I asked for Mediterranean chicken the meat was the dark off the bone rather than chicken breast, I ended up not eating it but that was honestly the only issue with food I had during our stay, and I know many might not mind this as my husband didn't.
The location can not be beaten, you are literally on the beach which makes the views in the day and evening absolutely amazing. You are so close to shops, restaurants and bars that nothing is too far away.
The only suggestions I would give to this hotel to improve is that a coat hanger is needed in the rooms, as our jackets from the airport ended up over chairs. And as the bathroom gets so steamy (after 4 of us showering) a dressing table or shelf with a socket is needed by the large mirror in the bedroom. That really is my only niggle and suggestion to make guests even more comfortable.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Hovima and all the staff who never stopped working hard, my only hope is that our government lift the UK quarantine so that more people can stay here and have a wonderful holiday like we did x.

Omg what can we say .... took us over 6months to eventually get to the reef our 2nd home for 20 years.
What a fantastic hotel.
The rooms were absolutely spotless very modern with Microwave kettle halogen hob all white crockery, silver cutlery well not real silver 😂
Huge Walk in shower
Bedroom was a Comfort Room so window was rather high unable to be opened because I couldn’t reach
Safe wardrobe with good strudy coat hangers
Beds were really comfy with white linen sheets only thing being we were there 10days and they were NEVER CHANGED.
Although the towels were Changed daily and they were plush white and decent size.
The pool area was equipped with plenty off sun loungers which I can say very impressed with the fact once a person left the life guard would disinfect ready for another.
You could not fault the standard of cleanliness in this hotel they really went over and above to make you feel safe with sanitizer stations everywhere, staggered entry to the restaurant floor signs within.
The staff were limited but worked superbly hard to accommodate everyone, my only complaint is the food was not great and you could tell when “Oscar” head chef was off as the standards fell and sorry but dramatically as food was left to go dry and to run low. Some nights we only ate bread butter 😢
If I was to score the hotel out 100 they definitely would get 100 for cleanliness
100 for Hotel placement as it is on the beach and central to everything sadly due to Covid19 most places were closed which was very sad to see.
I could imagine without Covid19 restrictions that this hotel would be a very hustle n bustle place and full off life, which I hope we can return to experience.
I personally want to thank all those employed within the hotel at all levels even the hotel manager who was around every day keeping her castle upto standard.
The sunset views were outstanding from our room as you will see from the pictures I have included.

Many thanks to all the hotel staff who made our week stay brilliant. We had a great time. All the hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and wanted to do all they could to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. We particularly want to extend our appreciation for helping make our daughter's 16th birthday memorable. The staff had gone beyond our expectations and decorated her dinner table and gave her a personalised card, as well as giving her a nice personalised cake. Made her feel very special. This just reflects the level of care and attention from all the staff. The hotel itself was faultless in our experience. We had a ground floor family room, which was a good size and included a mini-kitchen, that opened out to the pool area. We stayed half board, and found both breakfast and dinner buffets to be of a good standard. Lots of variety at each sitting, and dinner buffet options were very different every night, so we never felt the need to eat outside the hotel. There was also the option of 2 theme dinners in a separate dining room, which again were very good. Location next to the beach with direct access was excellent, with other shops/restaurants etc close by. Rooms were kept clean and well serviced every day. As mentioned, don't think we could find any major issue. Only suggestion and minor grumble would be to have more bar staff at busy times in the evening, since often ended up waiting a while to be served. The nature of the hotel location means also can hear background music (not significantly loud) from other bars until late, which wasn't an issue for us, and with patio door closed does get blocked out well also, but perhaps something to be cognisant of if want a very quiet and peaceful location (although will need then to be further away from the centre). Not raising as an issue, but for consideration if want somewhere very quiet. Overall we had a fantastic week as a family of 4, made all the more so by the incredible staff. Would strongly recommend as a family hotel destination, and we would be more than happy to return.

Like previous reviewers, we too were moved to the La Pinta hotel due to a cancelled Easyjet Flight, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made us feel very welcome under very stressful circumstances.
ALL staff from reception to waiting service and bar staff, as well as cleaners were outstanding, very friendly and more than understanding about our position trying to rebook flights home.
You can tell how good any service provider is at a time of crisis, which this was to a lot of people as to how they respond to customers.
We stayed in room 333.
The food was perfect, the accomodation gets a 5* from us, beautifully presented and the Customer service is Very Highly Recommended as this was Faultless and couldn't have been better.
The staff also spent hours on the telephone (outside of their normal shifts) trying to get us flights home which was beyond our expectations.
THANK YOU SO MUCH to your team , this hotel couldn't do anymore for any customers, so if you want a 5* experience this hotel has our full recommendation.

We visited this hotel for a week, half board in the easter holidays with my 6 year old son. Firstly the hotel room was lovely, really spacious and clean. We had paid extra for a sea view which was nice. Unfortunately though our room was close to some very noisy bars that kept us awake until the early hours of the morning. We did ask to move rooms but was told this wasn't possible. The room was on the 6th floor with the lift only going as far as the 5th floor so we had to struggle with our luggage up the extra flight of steps.
The entertainment provided for the children was excellent, the staff were very hard working and friendly and had lots going off for the children every day. The pool area was good for young children. The toilet amenities needed to be cleaned more often as they were quite dirty at times.
The food was a real let down, there was not a lot of choice and what choice there was seemed very cheap and lacked any taste. Fortunately we had not paid for all inclusive so we were able to eat out a few nights and skip the evening meal. My other grumble is that there was no snack bar facility for lunch instead the restaurant had to be used.
Overall this is a nice hotel in a good location but the restaurant food and the lack of choice it had for snacks has put me off going back again and I certainly would not recommend going to this hotel on an all inclusive basis.

Could not fault this hotel. We brought our 3 year old son here on the recommendation from jet2 after having two holidays previously cancelled due to the pandemic. We have enjoyed every minute of being here. Plenty of entertainment for children, the entertainment team are brilliant, you can really tell they enjoy their job and put a lot of love and effort into what they do. The room we stayed in, was lovely the sea view was a bonus we’ve loved looking out at the sea and hearing the waves crashing it’s so relaxing. One downside to the room (405) which can’t be helped is the smell of the drain that we get occasionally coming from the bathroom. Rooms are kept spotless, the cleaners were in everyday and always laid out my little boys teddy’s nicely on the bed which he thought was nice. The restaurant staff always have a smile on there faces even after all the hours worked they never look miserable. We can’t fault the food, there’s plenty of choice. We enjoyed the food over at the bar restaurant the most. We went on the seafood night and the food was delicious. We actually felt like we had gone out to eat at a different restaurant and that we wasn’t in the hotel. The food was table service apart from starters and desserts so it made a nice change from eating in the main restaurant where it’s a buffet for everything and sometimes it’s hard to make a meal out of things even though there is plenty of choice. They do a lot of fish which is nice for someone who isn’t a lover of meat. Location is great. Right on the seafront. There are some steps to get down to the beach and you have to use your band when you want to get in so it is very safe and secure. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We was half board so ate out for lunch most days. Be careful of the beach the man walking around selling fruit likes to rip you off.
We are already looking to come back the same time next year.
Thank you so much for a great holiday !!!!

Great location and spotlessly clean. A good family hotel with excellent staff. The food was good, decent selection, warm and plentiful. We stayed half board and we ate well every morning and evening, we had a room overlooking the pool and we watched the staff work very hard to keep the guests happy. The hotel is located on a small beach, to the north is another much larger beach with a geyser at the far end which was good to watch. It’s a 5 minute walk up the hill to the shopping centre at the top (with red palm tree looking metal structures) where you can catch the bus to the Los Cristianos and Las America’s and it cost around 1 Euro 50 per person.
The only down side is the inside area of the hotel is open topped and acts like a cave echoing the noise of people moving about, which wasn’t much of a problem, but it also amplified the evening entertainment, which if this isn’t your kind of thing (it isn’t ours) then it was so loud! It finished every evening around 10pm.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, a pharmacy over the road and a supermarket about 500m away.

I have just returned from a 7 night break at this hotel with my husband and our 4 children, 14, 11, 9 and 6. Our 2 bedroom excellence apartment was lovely and spacious but beware of the noise from the nearby bars that went on until 2am nearly every night, and to a previous reviewer that said "just shut the doors", this did not work in blocking it out, my 9 year old didn't sleep properly all week. I don't know if being on a lower floor would help due to the way the hotel is laid out (we were on the top floor room 506). The other thing that lets this hotel down badly is the food, its awful and we are not a fussy family at all. It was luke warm, tasteless, poor choices, random selections and the drinks service was very slow. We were all inclusive but ate out for our evening meal 5 nights and ate out for breakfast 2 mornings. The pool was great, cold but to be expected for this time of year, the beach is very convenient not even a 2 min walk, and the entertainment team were superb, the shows weren't to our taste but for families with younger children it would be perfect. The cleaning staff in the rooms and around the pool were also brilliant and worked tirelessly. Like many families this was out first family holiday in 3 years and at nearly £4k we were extremely disappointed and we wont be back. We went with Jet 2 and there was no Jet 2 presence at the hotel at all. Beware the private transfers with Jet 2 as well, you literally queue up to get told to join another queue, you may as well save your money and get the coach.

We have just returned after an amazing week in this hotel. When you walk in you can tell the level of cleanliness is very high and that is reflected throughout the rest of the hotel.
We had a superior room and was blown away by he spec and room we got. Very comfortable and modern and full of natural light, the only negative was some wear and tear on the sofa and the dining chairs but purely cosmetic.
Yes the food basics are repetitive but very tasty and catered to everyone's taste and add in the nightly specials and theme nights and it was a great selection of food . The staff make meal time experience great and very efficient and friendly.
There was a mini disco every night and kids and adults looked to really enjoy it and the two guys running it were fantastic and did a great job.
The rest of the staff were equally as friendly and polite and always a pleasure to talk to. We never used the pools but again very clean and spotless and the gardens a pleasure to sit in.
The location is spot on and close to everything, a supermarket just a few minutes walk away and shops and bars all around.
This is a family hotel and the children were very much centred to enable them to have a fun time so their parents/carers can also relax and enjoy the holiday. All in all it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, the staff were some of the most friendly and would not hesitate to recommend it or revisit again in the future.

My wife and I have just returned from a most enjoyable 7 night stay at the Hovima La Pinta in Costa Adeje. Although we were one of the few visitors without children it still turned out to be a pretty relaxing, happy and enjoyable holiday.
We stayed in a one bedroom ‘superior’ apartment on the 4th floor and what a great room it was. A good sized bedroom that had comfortable beds, separate lounge area with a small kitchen with cooking facilities and a full size fridge. And a larger than normal balcony with a view of the sea, facing south with sun on the balcony from around 9am till sunset, just after 7pm.
We stayed on a Half Board Plus basis. So it was breakfast and then either lunch or dinner with a free drink with each meal. Whilst it was the usual buffet style set up there were plenty of tables on the outside terrace so it never felt too busy.
Facilities around the pool area were fine, with just about enough sunbeds.
There were a few minor issues with our room (a light bulb needed relacing, the outside clothes hanger was slightly off the wall and our bedroom ceiling fan didn’t work) but ultimately nothing that really spoiled our holiday.
Our safe cost €18 for the week. The deposit for beach towels seemed a bit steep at €20 for each towel but the towels could then be changed for fresh ones as often as we required. And, of course, we got our €40 back at the end of the holiday – just make sure you keep your receipt safe!!
Breakfast was from 7.30am onwards, lunch was 1.00pm till 3.00pm and dinner was 6.30pm till 9.00pm. But on our early departure morning reception were able to arrange for us to go in earlier from 7.00am.
The free WiFi worked great throughout the hotel.
On arrival we were given a wristband. Everyone staying there has these but the colours are different depending on your board basis. The bands have a microchip and act as (a) your key for your room door, (b) the key for the gate allowing direct access onto the beach and (c) checking into the buffet restaurant so that a waiter should then come to your table for your drinks order. The most important benefit for us was the first one – it was impossible to misplace your room key, a common fault of mine on previous holidays!
All in all a really good hotel, in a great location and handy for plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets.

Drinks are only available for all inclusive although you can buy them. There are 3 areas you can eat - inside, outside and what my kids called the fish tank…you’ll know when you see it. The staff are very accommodating so you could ask at reception about changing dinner to lunch.
I never had a problem with it and I never got there early, they usually haf more sun beds stacked up on the side and you vould grab one from there if needed
The rooms have balconies and are kept clean but be warned the seafront is very loud in the evening by neighbouring karaoke bars. You will hear these even in your apartment.
